Was the Copenhagen Global Warming Summit Walk-Out a Win for the U.S.?

The mainstream media's reaction to the National Enquirer's reports on John Edwards' "love child" scandal has been reminiscent of the Soviet press. Edwards' name has simply been completely whitewashed out of the news. Say, why isn't anyone talking about John Edwards for vice president anymore? No, seriously -- hey! Why are we going to a commercial break?

I suspect that if I tried to look up coverage of the Democratic primaries in Nexis news archives, Edwards' name will have disappeared from the debates. By next week, Edwards won't have been John Kerry's running mate in 2004.

Do you know what this means? At this precise moment in time, I could call Edwards a name that would send me to rehab, and the media wouldn't be able to report it!

A Washington Post reporter defended the total blackout on the National Enquirer's John Edwards' love child story, telling the Times of London: "Edwards is no longer an elected official and he is not running for office now. Don't expect wall-to-wall coverage." This was the perfect guy to talk to because if there's one thing they're careful about in London, it's tabloid excess.

Isn't there some level of coverage between "wall-to-wall" and "double-secret probation, delta-force level total news blackout" when it comes to a sex scandal involving a current Democratic vice presidential and Cabinet prospect?

Hey, what sort of "elected official" was Ted Haggard again? He was the Christian minister no one outside of his own parish had ever heard of until he was caught in a gay sex scandal last year. Then he suddenly became the Pope of the Protestants. And yet, despite the fact that Haggard was not an "elected official," the Post gave that story wall-to-wall coverage. And what sort of "elected officials" were Mel Gibson, Rush Limbaugh and Bill Bennett?

The MSM justify banner coverage of the smallest malfeasance by any Christian or conservative, with or without independent verification, with the lame excuse of "hypocrisy." Hey, why didn't you say so! If all it takes to get the Edwards story into the establishment press is a little hypocrisy, boy, have I got a story for you!

Based on information currently saturating the Internet: (1) The entire schmaltzy Edwards campaign consisted of this self-professed moralist telling us how much he loved the poor and loved his cancer-stricken wife; (2) the following was Edwards' response to CBS News anchor Katie Couric's question about whether voters should care if a presidential candidate is faithful to his spouse:

"Of course. I mean, for a lot of Americans -- including the family that I grew up with, I mean, it's fundamental to how you judge people and human character -- whether you keep your word, whether you keep what is your ultimate word, which is that you love your spouse, and you'll stay with them. ... I think the most important qualities in a president in today's world are trustworthiness -- sincerity, honesty, strength of leadership. And -- and certainly that goes to a part of that."

There you have it, boys: Go to town, MSM!

Moreover, the National Enquirer reports that Edwards is paying Rielle Hunter -- the former "Lisa Druck" -- $15,000 a month in "hush money." Shouldn't the IRS be investigating whether Edwards is deducting those payments as a "business expense"?

Maybe The Washington Post didn't hear about the Enquirer catching Edwards in a hotel with his mistress and love child since it happened way out in the sleepy little burg of Los Angeles near the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards -- you know, the middle of nowhere. But surely the public can count on the Los Angeles Times to report on a tabloid scandal occurring under its very nose.

Kausfiles produced this e-mail from an L.A. Times editor to its bloggers soon after the Enquirer's stakeout of Edwards visiting the alleged mistress and love child at the Beverly Hilton:

From: "Pierce, Tony"

Date: July 24, 2008 10:54:41 AM PDT

Subject: john edwards

Hey bloggers,

There has been a little buzz surrounding John Edwards and his alleged affair. Because the only source has been the National Enquirer we have decided not to cover the rumors or salacious speculations. So I am asking you all not to blog about this topic until further notified.

If you have any questions or are ever in need of story ideas that would best fit your blog, please don't hesitate to ask.

Keep rockin,

Tony

Hey, I have a story idea I think the L.A. Times might like: How about something on the glorious workers' revolution that will restore the means of production to the people and create a workers' paradise right here on Earth, free of the shackles of capitalism?

I assume it would be jejune to point out that the MSM would be taking the wall-to-wall approach, rather than the total blackout approach, to the love child story if it were a story about Mitt Romney's love child or, indeed, Larry Craig's love child. They'd bring Ted Koppel out of retirement to cover that. Katie Couric, Brian Williams and Charles Gibson would be anchoring the evening news from Romney's front yard. They might even get Dan Rather to produce some forged documents for the occasion.

But with a Democrat sex scandal, the L.A. Times is in a nail-biting competition with The Washington Post, The New York Times, ABC, NBC and CBS for the Pulitzer for "Best Suppressed Story."

Nah, the Post is Just Being Gentlemanly

Mel Gibson, Rush Limbaugh and Bill Bennett? They're big boys. They can stand up for themselves.

Silky Pony? Well, its just not sporting to be mean to little girls.

Democrats behaving badly.
Democrats behaving badly, like that's news?

Scum bag trial lawyer
This guy is one disgusting hypocrite. His phony antics on the trial floor should have shown everyone his true character. This trashy fraud should go down in history for just what he is, a no-good scum-bag.

Fair? Balanced?
Compare the NYT's handling of this story with its front-page gossip story about how John McCain was rumored - by a disgruntled ex-employee - to have had an affair with a lobbyist. Not a shred of credible evidence; just unsubstantiated rumor.

I don't support McCain or Obama, but at least I try to be fair to both. The MSM have dropped all pretense of fairness. They're just drooling over the prospect of an Obama presidency and they don't care who knows it.

Well if true, he probably isn't gay
I won't use the term you used Ann.

Just ignore "Ranger" Robert
the little man. He NEVER has anything of worth to say, and he only wants to hi-jack the thread.

Ignoring him is the best way to handle the little dude!

Deranger - come now...
The altercation in the hallway has been confirmed by other sources, and I have a hard time imagining someone with Edwards' backgound wouldn't have the Enquirer in court in two seconds if he was innocent.

But hey, since you can't find a good way to deny the story, noble attempt at smearing the messenger.

Lone Ranger
Tell him Ann, his metro sexuality is slipping into mere perBert status if you catch my drift.
Maybe the Breck Girl's Beautician can butch him up a little.

Hey, perBert! Doesn't Mr. Ed's non-denial denials remind you of Sodem's WMD's? If he's got nothing to hide, why is he fighting so hard to avoid inspections?

The Big Mick

"Ignore the Trolls" Night at TH
Just a reminder to everyone to ignore Robert, the paid troll (Ranger29). I know it's tempting to take on his silly posts, but remember that he only wants to bait you into inane discussions to waste your time. He will not answer your specific questions or challenges.

If that's not enough to stop you, then consider that his posts will be gone tomorrow morning and your reponses to him will look strange.

One of the BEST lines.....
"I could call Edwards a name that would send me to rehab, and the media wouldn't be able to report it!"

Made me laugh out loud!!!

"Hey, what sort of "elected official" was Ted Haggard again? He was the Christian minister no one outside of his own parish had ever heard of until he was caught in a gay sex scandal last year. Then he suddenly became the Pope of the Protestants. And yet, despite the fact that Haggard was not an "elected official," the Post gave that story wall-to-wall coverage. And what sort of "elected officials" were Mel Gibson, Rush Limbaugh and Bill Bennett?"

Man, isn't THAT the truth!!!! Typical MSM...

Speaking of hair dresser (sic),
Robert, did your mother have any legitimate children?
Now the thread is back on track: Bastardy & Hypocrisy.

Mr. Ed's Women of Mass Desertion
To extend the metaphor, it would seem to me easy for the Omedia to confirm a few basic check able facts. Who was registered during the time in question at the BevHilton? Mr. Ed's whereabouts following his meetings? The logs of the Hotel Security Guards? If Camilla, I mean Huntress, was in Poughkeepsie it should be easy to prove, same if Mr. Ed was in Dallas with Debbie?
The Silence on this is deafening and lends credence, at least, if not giving assent.

perBert, just a modest consideration for ya, but have you thought that "consider the source" is NOT a particularly effective argument coming from YOU? It begs for wider application that is not to your benefit.

The Big Mick

But hey!
All those allegations of media bias and a media with a political agenda, well, they are as moot as the Edwards story.

Lestat is right.."his posts will be GONE
tomorrow morning and your responses to him will look strange."

Standard operating procedures on TH!!! LOL

Ah Joe, think it all the way thru
Ann was roundly criticized for telling it like it is on Mr. Ed by the Omedia and even many Repubes, even some Old Maid Aunt Mort McHo's here on TH! Remember, she was BANNED from the so called "Conservative" whatever Convention, Caucus Committee thingy. Rubbing everyone's nose in what a MORAL phaggot, Mr.Ed IS is the sweetest kind of REVENGE--not only living WELL but being SMARTER then everyone else and RIGHT about the Sumbeech all along!

But MORE than that! Ann GOT the little sucker! It was HER on target shot that drove him to prove his manhood by knocking up the hired help! Even if the timeline doesn't match up (I think Ann's zinger was like, what? Feb? Wasn't the kid already born by then? Anybody know the chronology?) the PRINCIPLE does!

The Big Mick

Edwards isn't EXACTLY a private citizen!
"... some level of coverage between "wall-to-wall" and "double-secret probation, delta-force level total news blackout" when it comes to a SEX SCANDAL INVOLVING A CURRENT DEMOCRATIC VICE PRESIDENTIAL AND CABINET PROSPECTIVE?

In fact, given the demo-cretin's standards, this little escapade, might just bump up Edwards in the VP status, and almost guarantees a cabinet post!

Get'em Ann!
As usual, Ann is right on the money!

But hey, Edwirdo is a Liberal. Any perverted thing a Liberal does is ok by them. Character? Ha! Good "character" to a Liberal is as foreign as truth!

Nevada Dan
Moot as in debatable, or moot as in not affecting the discussion?

I think Ann uses Mr. Ed and the coverage to very effectively add another brick on the Prima Facie case for Omedia Bias and Hypocrisy, as well as Mr. Ed's. Which, in turn, adds another brick to her underlying, if implied, assertion that all Democraps, in addition to being Traitorous Commiequeers as proven in her earlier works, are "lying, egotistical, sexist, hypocritical bigots" , in Hanoi Jane's line in "9 to 5".

Yet again I point out to the Mr. Ed defenders and Ann attackers. Your smart move here is a variation on my thoughts on Newt the Adulterer: "His adultery forfeited much of my respect, but I still think most of his ideas are sound and good." The more you deny and Ali Shuffle the more Roped a Dope you become.

The Big Mick

I always knew he was...
a scum bag. As a breast cancer survivor myself my sympathy goes to his wife. Wonder if she regrets defending him now. I wouldn't be surprised to find her raising this "love child" as her own.

Having cancer makes you see life and what is truly important in a different light and able to do things you might not normally do.

But we all know
the MSM really truly thinks they are unbiased. Many liberals are either liars with no shame or just delusional. And Robert, I don't hear the Left denying anything about this. I just hear the noise of a broom sweeping dirt under a rug.

Joe: That's the point.. Coulter NEVER

said he was gay...

What Coulter inferred... that got her in trouble, was that he was like a school yard bully... (In fact, I remember taking a blog beating the likes of which I'd never gotten before or since because I knew what she meant!)

But Coulter's point now is that she could call Edwards anything... ANYTHING, and it wouldn't be covered... That's the extent to which the MSM will go NOT TO PRINT Edwards' name!

I say, go for it! LOL

I've never responded to an online column
but speaking as one with a terminal cancer diagnosis, I find it disheartening to see the Edwards affair covered at all, especially when it is done with glee. I have an unfavorable view of Edwards as a politician, and would never consider voting for him, but to cause his wife and family unwarranted anguish by publicizing his possible indiscretions is beyond the pale, in my view. (It would be another matter if he were an active candidate, I suppose.) I can say from personal experience that a dire cancer diagnosis can place a severe strain on any marriage. In my own case, my beloved bride of 17 years and I (both devout Christians) have been sustained at times solely by the loving grace of God - and even then barely by a thread. Ann, I believe Christian charity suggests a respectful measure of silence in this Edwards matter. The man will answer to his Maker in due course. Ours is not to judge his fate prematurely in lieu of the Almighty.

Anne
EXACTLY! I been saying for days now on a couple different threads that it is de rigueur for the Commiequeer gods to knock up the hired help. It is required by their worshippers. Much like the Droits de Signeur of the First Night! It is the Duty of the Master, the Elite Aristocrap to spread his superior genes as far as possible by raping the mortal peasant maidens. In this he validates the relative positions of both Master/god and Serf/worshipper. It is needed and expected by both.

The Big Mick

thebigmick
The media is suppressing yet another story that should be front page news in an effort to ensure that no bad news leaks out about one of their own. In their mind, the Edwards story is moot. Just as moot as the fact that the MSM is totally a political organization. Maybe they think we don't notice but it is as clear as John Edwards non story.

George
Orwell would be so proud!

pull the plug
John Edwards did nothing wrong. He was just moving on in his life after he found out his wife had cancer. I mean really she is probably going to go terminal and slip into a coma. He knows that he will have to give the doctors the order to pull the plug or stop the feeding. He was just seeking comfort ahead of time to help himself through his future distress.

Ranger29
Don't tell the world you are from Texas. You are from Arkansas and I know it.

Now go to bed.

Resume' Enhancement
As has been proven many times, Libs who "slip up" on doing that which is morally correct - once they make their "apology" - they find themselves the object of sympathy which generally leads to a political rebirth.

This story may die for lack of MSM nourishment - which is okay with me if it causes Mrs. Edwards less grief.

But to those who think the National Enquirer never gets an authentic scoop - I have two words:

Jesse Jackson

FW: Excellent point!!!

And, one would think that Edwards would at least... AT FREAKEN' LEAST... have some respect and sensitivity toward his wife!!!

As sad as it is for Eliz. to have this "out" the worst is what her husband did not just to her, but to their children as well.

Edward
...while one can appreciate your attempt at not "casting the first stone" might I suggest that the whole reason the Nation is in such a moral quandry is precisely because too many people of moral character have remained silent when confronted with evil/sin rather than doing their duty and speaking up and against it. The Edwards affair is EXACTLY the type of behavior that people of moral character should be condemning. The Judeo-Christian GOD may be a GOD of love and compassion but the Bible also clearly speaks loudly and prominently against sin...so much so that there can be no salvation apart from forgiveness of sin.

Rumpranger, et alia
please don't use the phrase "love child;" that gives it too much dignity. try 'lust child.'

Elizabeth
I, too, feel sorry for the family. (I'm a two time cancer survivor.) The cancer should not be a factor when Edwards is considered for V.P, a cabinet post, or Supreme Court Justice. All the facts, PLEASE! Those prospects give me cold chills!!

Anne
I can't prove you wrong on what Coulter meant, but my instincts say it WAS a jab at The Breck Girl's coifed Metrosexuality and beyond that a kind of general telling it like it is on the whole "Metrosexual is the New YQueer eye for the Phaggot guy" shtick.

Be that as at may, what all this is REALLY about is the Fundamental difference in MORALITY,ETHICS, and LEGITIMACY, between Reaganites and Commiequeers. The former is Personal Responsibility in Defence of Liberty, the latter is Tyranny through Collectivism.
The former is Coal Miner's Daughter, Johnny Cash stand by your man, I walk the line Old School Classic American Morals, Values and "Extremism in defense of Liberty is no Vice, Moderation in pursuit of Justice no virtue"; the latter is Maoist/Stalinist the Only Ethic is Class Hatred.
I despise MR. Ed because he wants to steal from the Productive to give to the Parasite who bows down to Mr. Ed. I despise him even more for calling such theft Moral while betraying his most sacred oaths and trusts to someone who loved him. This is commiequeer morality at its most quintessential. The perfect poster for their inherent evil.
That's why they need to be beaten with it every hour of every day. Moronic Mythical Middle Moderates who can't grasp the Evil Inherent in Socialism CAN approach an intuitive understanding of the Evil of betraying someone who loves you.
The Big Mick

Only his hairdresser knows for sure???
Is that the reason John Edwards pays so much for a haircut???

Now it all makes sense, huh?

Sad, But Not Surprising
"Everbody's doing it! It's no big deal." Just business, as usual in the Democrat party.

DANV
ok, I think I see your point.
mick

Really Robert?
As if Edwards is not someone of importance to be reported on?

Edward #26: You make an excellent and

poignant point. Please know that our prayers will be with you....

I really don't believe that Edwards' affair is being covered with "glee," but more that Edwards IS a public figure, and because UNLIKE if he were a Conservative, it's being covered up!

If nothing else, it IS a media bias issue!!!

I don't think anyone doubts for one second that a "dire cancer diagnosis can place a severe strain on any marriage." But here's the thing, what kind of a reprobate would do such a thing to begin with, MUCH LESS knowing his wife has cancer?

As bad as it might be, the "coverage" can't possibly be as bad as Edwards' OWN betrayal of his wife and family (IMHO!)

But please know, you and your wife will be in our prayers, as has Elizabeth Edwards since we learned that her cancer had returned.

The Breck Girl
is a typical, lying Moonbat! He should have a spotlight on him for the same reason Pelosi and Obambi should, to show them up for the disingenuous, leftist, anti-American Lib-tards they are, trying to undermine our way of life and house our children in tiny little European apartments. Way to go Ann -- keep 'em howling about the truth!!

Robert,
This story is not about the Presidential race. It's about the longstanding bias of the MSM in favor of the Democratic Party.

McCain Smear!!
Now the libs are saying that McCain had an affair while his first wife was in the hospital recovering from a car accident. I hate liberals.

Semperfi/par #32: REPREHENSIBLE!

Probably one of THE most reprehensible, vile. contemptible posts I've ever read on TH!

And IF you thought it was humorous, IT WASN'T!!!

Edward 10:32
So is your argument that having a family member with cancer places one off limits to having your reprehensible conduct criticized? That smacks of the Victim uber alles, credo--if one can lay claim to victim status of any stripe one can indemnify oneself from any criticism on
ANY issue. The ultimate "get out of jail free card." The Jersey Cows and numerous Minority agenda groups come to mind. What, cogently, rationally, logically, does HER medical condition have to do with what HIS actions say about HIM, his principles, the principles of his PARTY and those who vote for him and them and of the Omedia?
Are you arguing The Rapist in Chief shouldn't have been impeached because it hurt Hillie's ("take a deep breath...it's all a vast right wing conspiracy") feelings?
Tell me, what illnesses qualify for a free pass?
If Hilly was a diabetic say, or if Mr. Ed's wife had multiple heart attacks like Chaney? They qualify?
We've all suffered the death of loved ones, Edward--"The evil that men do lives after them" the MANOR of their, or their loved one's dying cannot mitigate their personal responsibility for that evil. It CAN REDEEM it, in some cases. To assert otherwise is to AVOID such responsibility. In the end, to be forgiven, the sin must be named, confessed, repented of, and penance and restitution made so reconcilliation can occur. To short circuit this process does no one any good. Do Ashley, Rhett and Scarlet get passes for their conduct because Melanie was dying? The consequences remained.

The Big Mick

Robert
Robert, did you even know anything of Larry Craig prior to his much publicized toe-tapping incident?

CNN blog
I posted a question on the CNN blog as to why Edwards is no longer in consideration as a running mate. The responses said that he was no longer interested in the job. Any posts giving the real reason must not have got past the moderator.

Kae Sea: The idiot, Ranger "Robert"

doesn't know anything about anything...

He just blabbers on and on and on... and attempts to hijack the threads with his total nonsense.

And the less posters interact with him, the less I have to track him... Give me a break! :-)

Really?
Right. The mainstream media always covers up and ignores Democratic sex scandals. That's why Eliot Spitzer is still governor of New York, and Jim McGreevey is still having three-ways in New Jersey.

No one ever heard of Ted Haggard, he was only the head of the National Association of Evangelicals, led the political campaign for an anti-gay-marriage amendment in Colorado, had been featured in the movie "Jesus Camp" and a number of TV programs before his scandal.

In the past, the National Enquirer also "broke" stories alleging that George H.W. Bush had an affair and accused the current president of falling off the wagon and getting drunk in the White House. I didn't hear conservatives screaming for the MSM to take up THOSE stories!

Would you also like the MSM to look at John McCain's marriage? It's common knowledge that he started dating Cindy while still married to his first wife, who was injured in an accident while he was in Vietnam. He soon dumped his older, ailing wife for the much younger heiress.

I see a lot of selective moral indignation here.

Anne 11:16
I would presumptiously suggest you and I generally agree, but I would ask you to think about your response to Semper Fi. Setting aside the argument over whether Semp was speaking humorously, sympathetically, satirically or contemptuously, WHAT IF IT WAS TRUE?
What if that WAS EXACTLY Mr. Ed's TRUE MOTIVATION, perhaps even hidden, suppressed, unknown or unacknowledged to himself?--something we cannot KNOW at this point, but NOT beyond the bounds of possibility--in FACT it makes psychological sense on a VARIETY of levels. What if it IS accurate? Which is the greater sin, Mr. Ed's or Semp's for speculating on it?

The Big Mick

Anne
Anne, are you admitting that you are a stalker? I mean, tracking Robert and all?

Kidding aside, my point is that Larry Craig was always a low-key senator from Idaho. I only knew who he was by his position on the board of the National Rifle Association and for his loyal stance for the 2nd Amendment.

Larry Craig, were he a Democrat, would have been held up as a standard bearer, much the same as Jerry Studds was, and much the way that Barney Franks is today.

Double-standard? Nah, couldn't be!

ALL: Ranger "Robert's" posts are PULLED

EVERY MORNING... like clock work... (and of course, it doesn't occur to him why!!! lol)

Just ignore the little twit!

KaeSea; Nope! Job! And it's a pain!
.

Jed
Gleeful Exaltation is not Moral Indignation. Joy at a hypocrite’s getting caught is not a Jeremiad huff against the conduct. To enjoy the first is not to engage in the second.

The Big Mick

Kae Sea
""Robert, did you even know anything of Larry Craig prior to his much publicized toe-tapping incident? ""

Who do you think craig expected to be on the other side of that wall? Problem is, the wodent got caught in traffic and the cop stole his stall. :o)

Edward, I truly do feel for you...
and know where you are coming from. Speaking from my own experience with cancer and the battle, I seriously doubt that Mrs. Edwards cares at this point about her husband's notoriety. She has bigger concerns and bigger battles to deal with.

If I were her I might even think that he deserves more degradation than a column written by Ann Coulter, in light of his desertion of his marriage vows and his family especially after already losing a child.

He is a scum bag and hopefully won't have the nerve to ever run for public office again. If he does I am sure Ann won't give him a pass.

Robert,
You seem to have no problem with Larry Craig's media frenzy because he was a gay basher. In the same vein, Edwards has given many a speech on family values and has been hailed as a loving husband taking care of his ailing wife...
As I said, biased.

KaeSea; All that Ranger "Robert" said

he did... He DIDN'T!

He's like a fly... he likes crap and bothers people...

Edward's Dilemma!
I just have two comments.
There for the grace of God go I.
He who is without sin cast the first stone.

Anne
Anne, may I humbly and gently correct one thing you said regarding Robert? While it may be true that, as you state, Robert is a little twit, I think it would be more accurate to refer to him as a 'troll'.

Troll - Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to utter flame bait. Like the ugly creatures they are named after, they exhibit no redeeming characteristics, and as such, they are recognized as a lower form of life on the net, as in, “Oh, ignore him, he's just a troll.”

You're alright, Annie!

Busted again Wobbie
So Wobbie, In your post #391 in the Malkin thread you claimed that you're having your wedding at TAMU this year and that the TAMU Singing Cadets are going to sing at it.

Is that what you're claiming, Wobbie?

Well, you just got caught in another lie because I'm a member of the Singing Cadets.

We're not scheduled to sing at any weddings on the TAMU campus for the rest of this year, or well into spring of next year.

So tell us all again, Wobbie, Who's going to be singing at your wedding?

Blackbird
Your forgot "Go and sin no more." Which is sorta the point, n'est ce pas?

The Big Mick

Blackbird
Blackbird, are you saying that you committed the same acts, but for the grace of God you weren't ambushed by The Enquirer?

Blackbird: Sorry, disagree on this one!

No wife (or husband) should ever be betrayed like that.... Some things are just wrong!!!

But the fact that is wife has cancer, makes it just that much worse.

In fact, I'm not so sure that he shouldn't be stoned!!! I'll throw the first!

Charles
Charles, did you know that in July, 2007 John Edwards accepted a Father of the Year award? How ironic, no?

But we all know that Republicans hold the monopoly on hypocrisy, don't we? If in doubt, just ask any kool-ade drinker, they'll tell you.

perBerts TriFeckta
In response to perBert's 11:38. Second attempt, the first apparently got lost in the ethersphere. If this is a double, sorry.

perBert's TriFeckta

1. "Ask me I want to tell" Homowarrior.
2. "The Never Ending Story of my Naval Career."
3. "Up in the air Junior Birdmen" Flying While Playing Doctor aviation.

Adds a whole new meaning to the term "Light" aircraft.

The Big Mick

Corpus Cadet
I am sure in response to your post, it will suddenly be time for "night maneuvers" or "chow" or something similar.

Or has our illustrious jet-helicopter-tank-pilot-general-admiral-doctor-ambassador-butcher-baker-Indian-chief given up on the pretense that he is in some Iraqi location whose relative time seems to vary with his faulty memory?

KaeSea: I stand corrected! :-)

But he's still like a fly.... lol

KaeSea: Did they give him two?
I'm just sayin'... :-)

KaeSea: You in Western or Eastern PA?
.

To Anne and All Who Hate Robert
Hey all you Commodore Bob (Robert) detractors, here's an item you might enjoy.

A couple of weeks ago on another TH thread about Pennsylvania and the election, (I forget the author's name), Commodore Bob AKA Robert AKA Rangr 29 was rapping with Hal Donahue. And boy did it get interesting.

As you all know, these two prima dona gadflys are cursed with humungous egos and superiority complexes. Both are frauds, the biggest posing fraud is, of course, Robert. Over the months he's claimed to be a "Fleet" admiral, a naval aviator with flying time in every aircraft since Kitty Hawk, a navy SEAL, currently conducting missions in Iraq, holder of several advanced degrees and title to valuable land in various parts of the country and a widower whose first wife was also a naval aviator, one of the first females to qualify as a naval aviator and who was killed attempting to land on a carrier. He also claims to have two daughters also graduates of the military academies.

This guy is delusional. He's like the turncoat FBI agent, Robert Hanson, who was caught spying for the Russians some years back, resentful for being passed over for promotion, or that army scientist who we now was responsible for the anthrax attacks in 2001. This scientist was also a mental case with a hard on for the world. These types are a real menace.

Anyway, Robert and Hal got into a huge argument and it got nasty, like two high school girls arguing over the quarterback. They're no longer friends.

They were debating Obama's plan to pull out of Irag and Hal had the audacity to infer that Robert's opinion was without merit. Bob let loose and it sounded like a tempermental little boy, not a Fleet Admiral.

Did anyone else catch that bittch fight?

Cicero Dallas: Ha Ha Ha..Didn't see that

one, but I did hear about it... What a hoot!

You're right about "tempermental little boy, not a Fleet Admiral."

He always denigrates Pres. Bush, which is in direct violation of the UCMJ... and some of the vile things he posts... often to me... NO Naval officer would ever, in a million years, say.

And, he just doesn't get it (although I've tried to tell him!) when he posts like that, he GIVES HIMSELF AWAY!

Oh, and as you've probably noticed, most of his posts are not quite as good as a 3rd grader... not anything that any officer would ever do.

We're on to him!!! :-)

Another attempt like my 10:55,
at rebutting the "It don't signify" or "everybody's guilty" defenders of Mr. Ed.

At bottom, the Commiequeers and "sex ain't yo business" defenders of Mr. Ed are STUCK in the 60's much like the Sandnazis are stuck in the Dark Ages.

What this is about folks is that One political philosophy and set of principles---

(note I do NOT say Party--I've divorced ths spouse abusing Conservative Free GOP and its Gilt Bird Cabin CINO Robber Barons--see my blog, click the underlined name above)

ONE political philosophy--Reaganism, has a vastly superior morality and ethicality to the alternative in America today--Commiequeerdom.

Reaganites believe in Personal Responsibility as the guarantor of Personal Liberty, the commiqueers believe in the Collective as the Dictator of Public Morality. This difference in philosophy and the ethics that flow from that difference underlies the difference in both their private and public behavior and their Political Platform. Thus the Nanny State is not only coterminus with, but arises out of the Mutual Sexual Abuse of the Sixties. Janice Joplin's "Drugs, Sex, Rock and Roll" is not a rejection of the Greatest Generation's Materialistic Values--nothing is MORE materialistic then Drugs, Sex, Rock and Roll.
The Sixties were a rejection of the previous generations VALUES--Honor, Duty, Personal Responsibility. Make self-satisfaction the only value and the Nanny State is NECESSARY to insure it. Thus Mr. Ed, acting out his Parties most fundamental credo, promotes stealing from the productive to gratify the parasitical while modeling that self-gratification in its most basic form.

Western - not far from Mafia City, I mean Youngstown.

Cicero Dallas
I saw that exchange too. Can't recall where it was, but I believe Robert carried over into another subject, not the one about Pa.

I've watched this guy for many months and remember his claim to be an admiral of some kind. He was busted as a video arcade player. He has improved his BS over the months, though.

The real proof of his fraud is actually his appearance here in Townhall. Think about it. No one with a fraction of the achievements this guy claims would waste his valuable time jousting with us no body mortal civilians. Why is he trying to impress us, mere citizens who don't go out at night with a Bowie knife clenched between our teeth searching for Bin Laden?

Where does he find the time to mess with us and save the planet too?

Anne
Western or eastern?

Virtue and Values part 2
The exact same moves were made from the Virtuous and Free Roman Republic to the Morally Degenerate Mob pleasing Empire.
One can even argue that opening Citizenship to hordes of barbarians illegally over the border had a similar role to play as well.

commiequeer is as commiequeer does. Mr. Ed did what his Party and their voters ARE.

KaeSea: Just curious.

The other week I encountered a poster who actually lives less than 5 miles from my house in PA... And a few months ago was posting with another TH poster who lives only a few miles from where I live in VA.

(Mafia town??? LOL)

KaeSea: The opposite end of the state,

when I'm here.. Work in VA most of the time.

Anne
You didn't answer my curiosity...

Five miles? How quaint. Was this poster a friendly or a foe?

Anne
Pardon my follow-up...got caught in the lag here.

JD's Handsome Son: You're right...

no officer would have either the time or the inclination to be on TH as much as Ranger "Robert" is...

The sad part is he really does think he's got us all fooled! The little man is truly a sick pup!!!

Hmmm perBert and your responses
to him, and his to you, have got me thinking.

perBert, since you won't engage the underlying Philosophical Discourse here, the moral vacuity of Commiequeerdom, let me try a rebuttal to your “who cares” argument in the vein of your own materialistic self-gratification.

A good necktie party, even a rhetorical one, of a commiequeer hypocrite “halloweth any cause”.

Similarly, the joy of a perBert smack down is, in and of itself, sufficient justification both for his posts and their rebuttals.

As in "The Quiet Man" a good brawl is worth closing the bar for.

The drinks are on the house.

KaeSea: He was an arrogant little punk

Overly impressed with himself and where he lives... Ha Ha
