It took two years from Nelson's acquittal to get Reno to bring a civil rights case against him.

Janet Reno presided over the leak of Richard Jewell's name to the media, implicating him in the Atlanta Olympic park bombing in 1996, for which she later apologized. I believe Reno also falsely accused the Miami relatives of Elian Gonzalez of violating the law, which I am not including in her record of false accusations, but reminds me of another comparison.

Not until Bush became president was the media interested in discussing the shortcomings of the attorney general. Whatever flaws Alberto Gonzales has (John Ashcroft has none), we don't have to go back to the Harding administration to find a worse attorney general.

From the phony child abuse cases of the '80s to the military assault on Americans at Waco, Janet Reno presided over the most egregious attacks on Americans' basic liberties since the Salem witch trials. These outrageous deprivations of life and liberty were not the work of fanatical right-wing prosecutors, but liberals like Janet Reno.

Reno is the sort of wild-eyed zealot trampling on real civil rights that Hillary views as an ideal attorney general, unlike that brute Alberto Gonzales. At least Reno didn't fire any U.S. attorneys!

Randy Weaver v. Janet Reno
The government killed Randy Weaver's wife, via bullet throught the brain pan, as she was holding her baby, they killed Weaver's son, best friend and his dog.

The movie "Babel" is the politically correct version of the incident making sure all victims are non caucasian. Anyone familiar with the Ruby Ridge incident can see the parallel.

Mr. Weaver was found not-guilty of all charges.

All during Janet Reno's Jacobine reign of terror.

Can you imagine the Main Stream Media if Bush would have acted like that with respect of Jose Padilla!!?

The boy should not have
been deported because he was here under the spec. circumstances for Cuban refugees, having "touched" Am. soil.

His mother had left and divorced Elian's father. It was not up to the highest legal officer in the land to force a defenseless, minor child into communist re-education and degredation. Elian didn't return to his father. He was immediately sent to a rural farm-school, where he has disappeared from history.

If we cared so much about natural parents, thousands in the US wouldn't be suffering the disinterest and often humiliation through the process that custodial parents here endure when the non-custodial parents kidnaps a minor child and takes him/her oversees.

People fight for years to get their children returned, often sacrificing life's savings and enduring repeated grief.

The State Dwpt doesn't think its the dept's job to help the legal parent and the Just. Dept is totally separated from foreign affairs. So much for Reno and her caring. It's like all lib. caring, very select and always done to generate meximum pr.
