Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

Hillary Clinton accused opponents Barack Obama and John McCain of being too unreliable and too hawkish, respectively, in a major foreign policy address on the 5-year anniversary of the Iraq war.

Clinton primarily focused on explaining her foreign policy views, but took special care to attack McCain and Obama.

In her speech, delivered Monday morning at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Clinton said McCain would carry out President Bush’s failed war policy if elected in November.

“President Bush is determined to continue his failed policy in Iraq until he leaves office,” Clinton said. “And Senator McCain will gladly accept the torch and stay the course for keeping troops in Iraq for up to 100 years if necessary. They both want to keep us tied to another country’s civil war, a war we cannot win.”

“He’s willing to keep this war going 100 years, you can count on him to do that,” Clinton warned.

While Clinton was making her speech, McCain was touring Iraq. His Communications Director Jill Hazelbaker issued a statement that responded directly to Clinton’s charge McCain would keep troops in Iraq for 100 years—an offhand remark McCain made at a town hall meeting earlier this year seized upon by his anti-war opponents.

Hazelbaker said: “The point that Senator McCain [at the town hall meeting] was making was one about American troop presence versus American combat presence. He was speaking of a post-war scenario, not a hundred year war, when he suggested that the American people could support maintaining a military presence in Iraq should the Iraqi and U.S. governments determine it to be in their mutual interest, just as the U.S. and German, Japanese, and South Korean governments did after conflicts. One would suspect Senator Clinton is aware that American troops have been present peacefully in Germany and Japan for more than six decades.

Clinton said Americans should not trust Obama to become Commander-in-Chief because his former foreign policy adviser, Samantha Powers, had told the BBC in a televised interview his plan for withdrawal would not be workable.

“Another choice is Senator Obama, who has promised to bring combat troops out in 16 months, but according to his foreign policy adviser, you can’t count on him to do that,” Clinton criticized.

Powers recently resigned from the Obama campaign after an interview surfaced in which she called Clinton a “monster.”

Unlike McCain or Obama, Clinton told voters “Here’s what you can count on me to do: provide the leadership to end this war quickly and responsibly.”

Clinton says, as president, she plans to meet defense officials to develop a proposal to begin withdrawing troops from Iraq, adopt troop rotation schedules proposed by Rep. John Murtha (D.-Pa.), remove all private military contractors from Iraq, end no-bid contracts and pressure the Iraq government to spend oil revenues.

She says she will also pursue aggressive diplomatic actions with nations including Iran and Syria, to tell others “it’s time we did our part and paid our fair share.”

What's the difference...
between aggressive diplomatic action and military action? You can only talk for so long.

WOW
Count on her to provide leadership to end this war quickly and responsibly.

In other words she will do what everyone else will do NOTHING unless Congress allows her to.

Pull contractors out immediately. Then who will feed and care for the Troops that she Dearly states that she SUPPORTS?

Responsibly means what to a LIB? Make another programm to scam people like they have done the BLACK MAN. We have seen this picture before.

Hillary isn't just a moron…
She is an oxymoron.

She says she knows how to handle Iraq. Pahleeeease! She and billybob the rapist are the biggest anti-war Dems in the party. She's been running for POTUS since he handed her a job as a NYC (of all places) Senator. She voted for the war to come across as hawkish, then she quickly denounced her decision shortly there after.

She is trying to play it both ways. Gimme me a break.

Smartest womyn my arse!

how clever
A few days ago, Hillary was challenged to release records of her tax returns and her earmarks since she's been in congress, nothing but silence emerged from her campaign, curiously, she brings up the Iraq war in a out-of-left-field kind of way, in an obvious effort to deflect those challenges. If I was running against Hillary, a day would not go by without a reminder to the scandals, side-stepping doubletalk, and endless pandering that is Hillary, you gotta fight fire with fire.

But
The democrats don't care how crooked she or
the impeached perjured pervert are; they are a reflection of the majority of their voters morals.
I'd rather see where she put the FBI files and who she is blackmailing.

3, no 4 Questions
Hillary will "pursue aggressive diplomatic actions with nations including Iran and Syria, to tell others it's time we did our part and paid our fair share."

1) WTF is she talking about?
2) WTF does that mean?
3) Does she honestly expect nations like Iran and Syria to listen to ANYTHING she has to say?
4) Is she counting on there being enough people who are stupid enough to believe statements like those?

No, maybe it would be better if you didn't answer that 4th question.

Hillary is now a military advisor?
Hillary's experience knows no bounds. If Hillary thinks it, then it's transferred into experience. Spending three days in Iraq really paid off for Hillary. She can now say from experience the war in Iraq is a fail policy. There have been no accomplishments since day one of the war in Iraq. It's all been a fail policy. The chair Hillary occupied while our troops were fighting and dying in Iraq, really gave Hillary an insight to what was happening in Iraq to declare it a fail policy. What was it Hillary accused Obama of, all talk and no action. This country needs someone who will take action if we're attacked again, not political speak like Bill did before we were attacked on 9/11. That's all we need is another Clinton as President to be attacked again, because by now the terrorist knows what the Clinton's will do and what they won't do.

Hillary Rodham(rhimes / Saddam) Clinton
What a colossal joke she is.She and ol'Slick can't wait to get back in the Oval Office again.Maybe she can see what's under the desk that Bill used for his entertainment.

Things are looking up for her, since Wright has come on the scene.Bet she had nothing to do with THAT ! Bet she had nothing to do with Ger'dine, letting loose with that race remark, either. She just hits and runs and doesn't look back. If Obama starts going south,as is already started, look for some of her (dirt) to hit the fan.It will look like a massive dust storm, when it does.I cannot wait!!

Hillary
This is the best the DIMS can do? Hillary ro Obama?

We have to go with the flawed McCain or we are in very deep kimchi, as my old Korean Vet friend use to say!!!

It is funny as Hell that Hillary is blaming NAFTA when it was one of the so-called Gems of the Clinton co-presidency. Another lie from Hillary like the ones that she was so much help in the peace of Northern Ireland and she was a leader in the original SCHIP program passage.

•She claimed to have been an important part of the negotiations to stop the violence in Northern Ireland. A former Northern Ireland official said this week that was not true. He called her a cheerleader but said she had no part in the actual negotiations.

•She also claimed to have had an important role in the original SCHIP program. This was debunked today by Lindsey Graham and Ted Kennedy.

this woman proves
once again that she is totally clueless and will do or say anything to get elected.

As Chuck pointed out earlier, the contractors are there to provide logistic support to the troops, I doubt clinton even knows what that means nor does she address who will be watching the backs of this small elite force she wants to leave in place when she surrenders.

We were taking casualties because we didn't have enough troops, so to return to that posture reveals her utter stupidity on all things military.

She is absolutely unqualified to be anything more than a towel girl at bubba's cathouse, she has plenty of experience cleaning up after him.

The very thought of her as CinC of the finest military in the world makes me sick, her criticizing McCain on military matters is hubris writ so large it makes me think she is delusional.

As an aside....
....and not too off topic, anyone notice Bill Clinton's approval numbers have been sliding ever since he began to campaign for his WINO (wife-in-name-only)?

It's not looking pretty, and she is trying desperately to hold back the slippery slope.

HELP!!!
I heard Mrs.Clinton's speech, last evening, and was surprised to learn, she is now a republican. She was able to use Mr.McCain's position, both to support herself and against him.She may deserve the presidency, based on that "SKILL" alone. Her position on Iraq was from the McCain handbook.Of course she "Changed" a few "Words",because words do matter. If, Mrs. Clinton gets the republican nomination for president,I am definitely voting for her?
