Will Sarah Palin make a run at the GOP Nomination in 2012?

The last Republican presidential debate before the January 3 Iowa caucus, hosted by the Des Moines Register, failed to generate any sparks between the candidates, frustrating event watchers.

Complaints about the debate that ranged from the selection of questions to the decision to allow long-shot presidential candidate Alan Keyes participate to its low-budget appearance.

Townhall editor Jonathan Garthwaite wrote, “Best moment of the debate: 3:17 when the debate ended.

Moderator Carolyn Washburn, editor of the Des Moines Register, opened the debate by telling the candidates she would not ask questions about Iraq or immigration because it they were not issues Iowans needed to know more about.

“We won’t talk a lot about issues like Iraq or immigration,” she said. “They’re important issues, no doubt, but Iowans say they know where the candidates are coming from on those.”

Instead of generating fiery exchanges between the candidates, Washburn got herself into a tangle with Fred Thompson. At one point, Washburn asked for a “show of hands” on whether or not the candidates believed “global climate change is a serious threat and caused by human activity.”

“I’m not doing handshows,” Thompson said.

Face it. Huckabee wins the Nomination!
ROMENY has run out of gas. He has been the worst investment money could buy. His persecution complex make him so defensive that he cracks under pressure. BOTH Romney's and Giuliani's flop flip past makes them a liability and not an asset for republicans 2008.

Mike Huckabee is presidential material and is alone able to defeat Hillary & Obama. I am now convinced that those wealthier donors to Romney's, Giuliani’s, and Thompson's campaign have wasted their money and if they continue, are wasting their hard earned money on candidates who do not have voter appeal or substance. As a member of the younger generation, I will tell you point blank, Romney, Giuliani, and Thompson DO NOT connect with us.

Hey jdw...
These are presidential debates. This is not a game show where the candidates should be expected to slap a buzzer and spit out quick news-byte ready answers. If you dont have the time to listen to a candidate carefully explain his position on a widely debated topic, I suggest you go play a video game. But don't expect the rest of us to adapt to your short attention span.
