Only Pearl Harbor comes close but even then there were people that still thought they could ignore it and isolate America from the rest of the world(the world is much smaller now), we were at war and some didn’t know it, unfortunately the descendants of these people have grown in numbers. Make no mistake Islamic fascist as they are fashionably called are out to control the world with their ancient ideology against the worldwide infidel. Running a Republican anti war candidate is just another sign that the Republican party has given up and really needs to be replaced with another party that has passion that equals that of the very left leaning Democratic party and the left leaning Republican party now a days. This is from a moderate conservative, I am far from right wing. Does anyone really think that an isolationist policy is what is going to make us more secure, if so it might explain why the Brooklyn bridge continues to get sold and why each year millions and millions of Americans are scammed out of their money by illiterate Nigerians with a computer, because Americans are naive’. So maybe they do think that hiding under the bed works, never worked for me but I have been wrong before. If you believe in this convoluted idea then you better also believe in the 2nd amendment and be willing to protect yourself because our government isn’t going to do it for you, one of the very few constitutional powers given to the federal government will be ignored to create a socialist or dare I say communist society.

Now that should get someone off their chair, want to call me crazy do so barrym@tds.net

75% people against war?
I think 100% of the people are against war theoretically. That is, they are stupid endeavors and a waste of life and property, however since there have been organized societies there have been wars and to think the necessity for war is going to go away soon because you pull the covers over your head is insane.

Each generation has their nutcases that want to rule the world, this is just the latest example and not terribly difficult so far to slow down but don’t let that fool you it is insidious an will march on whether you acknowledge it or not . Could we forget so quickly, for the first time in our history we were attacked on our own soil by people that couldn’t build their own plane or bomb and next it will be that nuclear device that they also can’t build. Al-Queda made the mistake we hoped they would make and threw all their resources into Iraq and now they are trying to re group, so instead of retreating we should be advancing, that is how the game of war is played, don’t let the enemy get away to fight another day. We need to continue to find their training facilities and destroy them before they destroy us. How many times can history repeat itself before we learn its lessons, you don’t even have to spend anything, just go to the history section of the library and by pass the fiction section.
