Whoops! $780,000
Posted by: Jillian Bandes at 3:40 PM
Rep. Charlie Rangel, (D-N.Y.), "forgot" about an entire apartment, one of his checking accounts worth between $250,000 and $500,000, stocks worth between $16,000 and $51,000, a rental property he owned worth $75,000, and a handful of other investments. The House Committee on Ethics hasn't yet determined the extent of the "forgetfulness," though it's currently estimated at as much as $780,000.

If one is supposed to take the "I forgot" excuse at face value, I have one question. Rangel is the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee -- you know, the committee that determines the proper allocation of taxpayer money towards government causes. How is Rangel supposed to have a clear understanding of the national budget when he can't even wrap his head around his own personal finances?

If one doesn't buy his "I forgot" excuse, then what possible excuse is there to do anything less than kick him out of Congress, stat, in light of this massive, massive fraud?

(VIDEO) "He said WHAT?!?!?"

>Charlie Rangel's sweet ride... paid for by YOU!

How's this for recession proof?

If you're the head of the Congressional committee that spends the tax-payer's money guess what! You get to bilk them for $700 bucks each month for a caddy AND you too (like the majority of President Obama's nominees) do not have to pay taxes on the commercial properties you own.

Go figure... it PAYS to be a liberal partisan!

But then when one of your constituents comes up to you in the halls of Congress, and asks you about it you get to bleep him into next week:

The New and Improved Swamp List
Posted by: Tom DeLay at 9:04 AM
Think the Democrats are the party of honest, open, ethical government? Wrong. I’ve worked with these guys (actually, against them) for longer than I care to admit, and let me tell you: nothing has changed but their talking points. The Republican Leader office has compiled a great resource, titled “The Swamp List” highlighting their dirty tricks, and they’re actually in print. But it’s not enough to simply call them out on their hypocrisy and wrong doing – we need to take a page from their playbook and make sure their leadership is weeding out these members. Call on Nancy Pelosi to fire Charlie Rangel!

Fires, Taxes, Gays and kids... Oh MY!

2pm:
The presumption that Republicans will get the California fires solved more quickly is correct...the assertion that it is corrupt to do so is utterly laughable. Liberal commenter on my blog:  Let's see if FEMA can get this one right. Oh, wait -- I forgot: popular Republican governor and the fires include Orange County. Not a problem! It would be naive and even immoral to hope for more disaster upon someone just because they vote differently than you wouldn't it? And the truth be told this is really about the perception that it was the feds that messed up Katrina in the first place - when it was obviously the corrupt Mayor and inept Governor. 800.345.WMCA.

2:30pm:
Ron Luce is heading up the exciting new adventure you've heard about from Teen Mania Ministries coming to NY/NJ in February 2008. BATTLECRY is coming. Be There!

2:45pm:
Charlie Rangel, famous congressman from Harlem, wants to raise your taxes by $50,000,000,000.00 dollars - starting in 2009... Merry Christmas!

3pm:
Barack Obama is losing his mind, not to mention his campaign. Even gay-bloggers are saying so: "If they disinvite McClurkin, they run the risk of offending black voters who are inspired by McClurkin's message and don't know or don't care about the gay controversy. If they go ahead with McClurkin, they run the risk of alienating gay voters who have supported and contributed to their campaign since the beginning." From where I sit, he's already thrown Pastor Donnie McClurkin overboard, he has clearly identified himself with the crowd who has called McClurkin a homophobe and a hate-monger. He is a candidate with two constituencies angry with him now - Black Christians AND rabidly hostile and hate fomenting gay activists. 800.345.WMCA.

BONUS: Now just to really spice things up Obama has added to the line-up - a White Homosexual "Pastor." Leading EVERYONE to ask - "What is Obama's problem?"

No Mercy for Giulliani, Potter goes gay, Outlawing Zero Tolerance, Libs Virtue Absent
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 1:32 PM

Listen "LIVE" - 2-4p EST
Listen ON DEMAND anytime!

2pm:
Rudy Giulianni should get no mercy from social conservative, Christian, born-again evangelical voters. This weekend he attempted to say otherwise. Guiliani attempted to persuade voters that he is indeed as concervative as they desire him to be.. yet he said, "I'm not going to pretend to you I can be all things to all people, I'm just not like that. I will tell you from what I saw with my own eyes amongst the evangelical Christians at the Values Voters Summit last week - he doesn't seem to be getting any. But it's not enough, not in the primary - he should not get a pass from socially conservative Christians. 800.345.WMCA.

2:30pm:
For everyone that believed that Harry Potter was this innocent allegory of good and evil - which is the position in the McCullough house, J.K. Rowlings confession - should not make any difference"Dumbledore is gay," she said, adding he was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, who he beat in a battle between good and bad wizards long ago. The audience gasped, then applauded. "I would have told you earlier if I knew it would make you so happy," she said. We have talked with personal friends and I have seen the studies - Harry Potter sold a LOT of books to people of faith - and the battle between good and evil is at the center of why these books were/are so popular. The series was already compelted and this revelation changes little if any of the meanings of the war between good and evil. 800.345.WMCA.

3pm:
I believe we need to outlaw all use of Zero Tolerance policies...in otherwords I have ZERO TOLERANCE for zero tolerance. Here's another example of why: Seven-year-old Kyle Walker was suspended for one day last week by school officials in Cape May County for drawing a stick figure shooting a gun.  Four kindergarten boys were suspended in 2000 for playing cops and robbers, even though they were using their fingers as guns. Since guns were invented nearly 100% of all boys have used their imagination to kill bad guys, rescue the girl, save the town, and become the hero. I know I did - and I've never had one inkling to shoot a human being - ever! By enacting Zero Tolerance policies we are protecting ourselves against no one, and it is merely an excuse to attempt to govern - without thinking. 800.345.WMCA.

3:20pm
Liberals do not practice what they preach, they do not have to - liberalism allows them to violate the virtues of honesty, integrity, and by all means - consistencyIn a cover story on Giuliani in this week’s New York Observer, Rangel went after Giuliani in unusually personal ways, expressing confidence that Giuliani’s frontrunning status will fade either because of the former mayor’s liberal positions on social issues or the operatic drama of his personal life. Referring to Andrew Giuliani’s reportedly distant relationship with his father since the ugly bust-up of Mr. Giuliani’s marriage with Donna Hanover,” the article says, “Mr. Rangel said it was because ’sons respect and admire their fathers, but they love their mothers against cheating gd'd husbands.’ I have repeatedly argued the simple commonsense perspective that says, if a man DOES cheat on his wife it is likely that he will cheat on people far less important - which is the common belief among 98% of all Conservative Christians. The left in America knows this - but their worldview allows them an escape clause from TRUTH! 800.345.WMCA.

Taking Care of Rangel's 'Monument to Me'
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 10:27 AM
DeMint, Lord bless him, has offered an amendment to block this monstrosity:
"In what may be the ultimate in vanity plates, House Ways and Means Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) is hoping to steer some $2 million to a building project at the City College of New York that will house — wait for it — not one, not two, but three construction projects bearing the gravelly voiced lawmaker’s name." The project will reportedly include: the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service, the Rangel Conference Center, the Charles Rangel Library, and a “well-furnished office” for the lawmaker.
