Given the state of things... should THIS MAN run for Governor?

Gov Rudy?

Given the generally hardened viewpoint of the Lovely Bride - particularly when it comes to the whole adultery/prostitution thing. She tells me - they're not even close to the same thing - and he should take this opportunity...

The jury is still out for me.

Personally I'd rather him knock Hillary out of the Senate because after she's demoralized in this year's primary she will literally then be out of places to go live off my tax dollars...

But that's just me...

A question of real courage for Perez Hilton and TMZ!

Which is more threatening, the fact that Stephen Baldwin and Michael Lohan are willing to tell you that Jesus can change your life?

Or that He CHANGED theirs?

Perez, TMZ, and the haters... Why do you knock, what you lack the courage to try for yourself?

NY GOP: Resign in 36 Hours or IMPEACHMENT.
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 9:57 AM

Front Page
"not gone yet?"

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what both sides of the partisan aisle would prefer Governor Spitzer to do - LEAVE. The editorial pages in all the NY papers agree today.

I mean for crying out loud - if the complaints are true - the most recent incident occurred about a month ago. And he once busted two different prostitution rings.

I wrote yesterday that the delay in making a statement to the public was likely due to his trying to configure a way to hold on to office. The more time goes by the more likely he will believe his chances to be able to remain.

This after his drivers' license initiative for illegals raised the collective ire of the voters of his state leaves him with little if any political capital.

Well today the State Senate is sending the message that his ride will be a bumpy one should he not decide to do the right thing. They have given him 36 hours to resign or face impeachment.

Unlike recent Washington congressional members who HAVE survived similar scandals, I do not believe Spitzer will be able to raise the public support necessary to hold on to power.

But we'll see... the clock is ticking.

Eliot Spitzer SPEAKS
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 3:17 PM

"Out? Not yet..."

In a matter of seconds, he walked in, "I apologize to my family and to the public."

And left...

It was so fast most media was not even able to capture it...

Spitzer's wheels are turning...
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 2:46 PM

...what to do...

He's a half hour late for the presser that called for 2:15pm.

Probably not enough time to run a flash poll, so he has to decide how to ride this thing out.

"Do I resign? Do I try to buy a week of time to run polls and see how bad the damage is? Do I do the Clinton thing and say, everybody does it?"

The reason he isn't appearing yet is because he's most likely NOT going to do the right thing which would be to step aside, go away with his family, and attempt to keep his family from falling apart.

This is going to be a nail-biter...

New Breaking Details on Eliot Spitzer

Spitzer with wife and daughters...

Even though he is largely thought of by NY'ers as being a hard-core, get tough on corruption, politician, it evidently applied to everyone except himself.

The scandal that is breaking right now explains SO MUCH of Spitzer's attitude towards the sexual agenda in his state. It explains his willingness to advance kinky sexual agendas into legislation, and his overt unwillingness to listen to the people of all faiths in his state that spoke back to him in 2007 demanding that he not advance the radical sexual agenda items that he promised to pass into law.

He just didn't care.

New breaking details: the incidents being looked at occurred in February 2008.

NY Gov. Spitzer: "I hired hookers!"
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 2:44 PM

Mr. Ethics Reform

From the NYTimes:
Mr. Spitzer, a first term Democrat who pledged to bring ethics reform an end the often seamy ways of Albany, is married with three children.

Just last week, federal prosecutors arrested four people in connection with an expensive prostitution operation. Administration officials would not say that this was the ring with which the governor had become involved.

But a person with knowledge of the governor’s role said that the person believes the governor is one of the men identified as clients in court papers.

The governor’s travel records show that he was in Washington in mid-February. One of the clients described in court papers arranged to meet with a prostitute who was part of the ring, the Emperors Club VIP on the night of Feb. 13.

Mr. Spitzer appeared on a CNBC television show at 7 a.m. the next morning. Later in the morning, he testified before a Congressional committee.

An affidavit filed in federal court in Manhattan in connection with that case lists six conversations between the man, identified as Client 9, and a booking agent for the Emperors Club.

He had a difficult first year in office, rocked by a mix of scandal and legislative setbacks. In recent weeks, however, Mr. Spitzer seemed to have rebounded, with his Democratic party poised to perhaps gain control of the state Senate for the first time in four decades.

Hillary: "I want more than a one night stand!"
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 9:37 PM

"Me love you long time..."

I'm not quite sure I've ever seen a politician refer to the comparison of a reckless sexual act to the electoral process of asking for votes - though I KNOW that there have been more than enough voters who felt like forgotten girl who is STILL waiting for the guy to call...

But she said it - to a bunch of Iowa voters:

Sen. Hillary Clinton, speaking in Bettendorf, Iowa, trying to convince a crowd to caucus for her, explained that she wants to be with them so that she can win Iowa in November 2008.

"I want a long term relationship," she said. "I don't want to just have a one night stand with all of you."

She was attempting to introduce her new "bring a buddy to the caucuses" plan. How the two concepts go together I'm not quite sure but that's her story and she's sticking to it...

They've also rolled out a half-way humorous campaign ad to get the message across - and stay tuned for the end of the ad where they continue to hit the familiary Clinton themes... "Marriage is hard" (who could remind us better than Hillary), only to be followed by what could at best be described as a subtle poke at "lesbian rights" when two college girls tell us that "dating is hard."

IMAM to Britney: "I'll cut off your head!"
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 7:21 AM

So she has a beer belly, she's going out all around town without undies on, she's about to get her kids taken away with society's blessing by K-Fed, and now this?

"If I meet these whores I will have the honor – I repeat, I will have the honor – to be the first one to cut the heads off Madonna and Britney Spears if they will keep spreading their satanic culture against Islam," said Muhammad Abdel-Al.

NOTE to Rosie O'Donnell: Neither myself nor any other "radical Christians" have ever called for such a thing. And if you STILL can't tell the difference... well I'm wasting my time trying to explain...
