Did anyone else know that President and Mrs. Obama wanted to secularize Christmas at the White House this year? Did you know that they went so far as to attempt to ban the traditional nativity scene from being displayed? This writer insists that Christians are to blame for it all. Though we agree with her on this point, if the White House occupants want to hide their religious beliefs at this time of year, stop making us pick up the tab for the White House Christmas tours. 800.345.9622.

Merry Christmas to ACORN from the U.S. Courts. A judge has ruled that it is your obligation and mine to give millions of dollars to the organization that attempted to help (on nearly a dozen instances) people set up child-prostitution rings. Ain't America great right now? 800.345.9622

Is there such a thing as sex addiction or is it merely a name we've come up with to mask what has been around for centuries? If anyone "has it" surely Tiger would fit the mold, and it appears he's walking away from golf right now to possibly get this part of his life under control. But former addicts I've spoken to this week claim that sex addiction is as real as chemical. KMC doesn't quite buy it... 800.345.9622.

Romney supporters have clucked all week about how the vastly distorted and dishonestly misrepresented facts in the case of cop-killer Maurice Clemmons were the fault of Gov. Mike Huckabee. Yet none of those critics had the guts to talk to the Governor directly. So in this national radio exclusive, Fox News host, Radio Commentator, and former Governor Mike Huckabee sits down with Stephen Baldwin & Kevin McCullough to take your calls and to answer the questions that set the record straight. Prominent bloggers and silly fill-in talk hosts (that seemed pervertedly in love with the words, "put a bullet in his head") need to listen in, pay attention, and report honestly. 800.345.9622.

Tiger Woods, for years the mere name struck fear in the hearts of players he was paired with. But at 2am on a morning this last week, fear struck the heart of the greatest golfer to ever live. He's accomplished everything he could've imagined. He has a supermodel wife, two beautiful children, but like so many before seemed willing to throw it all away. So here's the question for tonight: "If you were to have a one on one chat with Tiger, what three steps would you advise him to take in the next three weeks to save his family?" 800.345.9622

For the Non-Believers
Posted by: John Campbell at 2:16 PM
I listened to many of the speeches given by supporters of the bill yesterday. I also had the opportunity to question the Director of the Congressional Budget Office on the subject. The tepid arguments and weak rebuttals of the proponents here lead me to believe that perhaps even they know that this is not really about stimulus. Being generous, I can say that maybe 25% of the items in this bill have some multiplier effect. But the rest is just spending. Just 2 months ago, President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel, said “Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."

Couple that statement with the President’s repeated comments yesterday that this is just “the first” in a series of economic recovery actions, and it becomes clearer to me that this bill is really about getting about a 20% annual increase in non-entitlement federal spending right now, and paying for it with tax increases to be named later. The public would not stand for that in the normal course of politics.

If you don’t believe that, I hereby submit for your consideration a document that was sent to me by a Democratic Congresswoman from California in order to entice me to vote for the package because of the money that California would receive. It actually pushed me even further in the opposite direction. I think it will have the same affect on you so here is link. Virtually all the spending in here is merely the federal government paying for programs that the state is already doing. In another case,  billions of dollars are allocated for more school construction, at a time when we have just borrowed and spent $30 billion on school construction in California, and where some of our failing schools happen to be housed in beautiful new buildings.  The State of California will get a $32 billion spending increase in this bill, paid for by federal taxpayers. I hope that the idea of raising taxes in California will be dead now. Isn’t $32 billion more spending enough for now?

Sharpton to Florida: "Beware da' disenfranchised!"
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 1:24 PM

Courting?

Dr. Bullhorn is ready to throw down:
Rev. Sharpton is traveling to Florida today to compile lists of residents who skipped the January contest because they thought their votes would not count. He plans to have those residents sign affidavits saying they would be disenfranchised by the seating of the Florida delegation, in the event the Democratic Party allowed that to happen.

THUS it finally begins... the MSM turns on McCain!
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 3:50 PM

"Maverick no more..."

I've said this in MANY interviews recently, "One can not be the 'standard bearer' for conservative values the 'maverick' of the mainstream media simultaneously."

Thusly the MSM proves me right... AGAIN!

The Washington Post, "He's bad on the war and health care." The L.A. Times, "He's FOR TORTURE!" Time Magazine, "He's a complete fake!" And New Yorker magazine: has to hand off the tough question to his staff...

On a side note - a good friend of mine unearthed what I think might be the ultimate McCain argument in his upcoming debates against Obama. (Assuming that McCain keeps his frame of mind well enough to not become reflexive or knee jerk against Obama, which I personally believe will be his toughest temptation to overcome.)

But in the debates this is the card he should play over and over again: "You know, in all the years I've been working across the aisle, Mr. Obama has just never been there. He's a nice man, with a beautiful family, but where has he been. I was the one working across the aisle, working with Democrats to solve the problems we face - even to the ire of many of my own supporters. But Mr. Obama was never one of the ones leading the way to solve those problems. I've worked with many Democrats, but Mr. Obama was never one of them. Where was he?"

At first blush I thought this tactic was quite bland - but the more I contemplated it - I think my friend is on to something. It DOES reveal Obama's thin experience while positioning McCain's position as one who has ALWAYS walked across partisan lines to get things done. (Something most of us conservatives can recite chapter and verse...) And that may be in attribute that the independents will be looking for in the general election...

Certainly an idea worth trying...

GOP "Eventual" Nominee, who "doesn't much understand the economy", opposed tax relief, to end year with 4.5 Million in Campaign DEBT?
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 11:16 AM

"money's just not my thing..."

He's on vapors, fumes, last legs... and ended 2007 $4.5 million in the hole. Bryan Preston also points out that the total number of people who have contributed to his campaign since its inception 3 jump starts ago is somewhere in the neighborhood of 110,000 donors.

Barack Obama added 170,000 NEW donors in January of 2008... alone! (He also raised 7-8 times the amount of money that McCain OWES for 2007 in cash for 2008...)

Jiminey Christmas...

Rasmussen: Romney leads in NO Super Tuesday States...
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 6:22 PM

Number 1 in HER heart, in 2nd or 3rd everywhere else...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Rasmussen does not show Romney leading in ANY Super Tuesday state where they have conducted polling: McCain leads/tied in 6, Huckabee leads/tied in 3, Romney leads/tied in 0.

If this is how it plays out - look for a very un-motivated GOP base in November.

Crikey... McCAIN????????

After all the debates and ideas and options WE ARE STUCK with the man who likes to give conservatives and republicans the finger day after day?

THIS is the best and brightest?

Perhaps Crazy Ed Rollins is right - if McCain gets the nomination - perhaps the Reagan Revolution IS dead...

(FINALLY) Rasmussen's LATEST: A GOP frontrunner emerges...
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 1:45 PM

"Decisive Lead Amongst Conservatives!"

According to the newest Rasmussen numbers Mitt Romney now leads the GOP race for the nomination - NATIONALLY, and is up 15 points amongst "conservatives." McCain leads amongst moderates - but most of the primary races here on out are closed races which will diminish moderate/independent turnout for the GOP race.

Mitt's strategy, though it hit a sizable speed bumps in Iowa AND New Hampshire, is on the verge of complete fruition. The singularly important task ahead of him being - to win Florida.

If McCain loses Florida, though he will be around to make more noise, he will be all but finished. It Mitt wins, he must still compete heavily on Tsunami Tuesday, but he will be in position to raise additional money to complete his war chest.

Huckabee's loss in South Carolina appears to have been his ultimate undoing, which in all reality could be blamed easily enough on Thompson given the similarity in the exit poll responses from Thompson and Huckabee's supporters. Had Thompson not been in the race, Huckabee would have easily defeated McCain by a wide margin (perhaps 10%).

Now that McCain, who traditionally only wins "open" primaries, is faced with convincing the conservative base of the GOP primary voters that he isn't the wild, undisciplined, arrogant, half-crazed, tempest in a teapot he has been for the last eight years. But the track record is long.

And when you associate your name with more legislation (McCain/Feingold, McCain/Kennedy, McCain/Lieberman) with your opponent's co-signature's than from your own party's there's bound to be backlash. Even in this election cycle it appears that while McCain says ONE THING about border security, the staffing of his campaign advisers tells a VERY different story.

A good boxing of the ears in Florida and Senator Cranky can finally put the "running for president" demons to rest, and just focus on enjoying the remainder of his time in the Senate and with his wife and family...

Don't think just answer: The last time Billy Jeff did something like this?
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 12:21 PM

...b-day girl...

I thoroughly disagree with almost every policy position Barack Obama holds. (Though his assessment of Reagan was quite sound two days ago.)

But in the "decent human being department" he's got the last President that emerged from the Democratic camp beat by about 7, or 8, maybe 10,000 miles.

Meanwhile, Obama took a break from campaigning Thursday night to celebrate his wife’s birthday by taking her out to dinner. Advisers declined to say where they would eat, except to say it would just be the two of them.

(VIDEO) HOLY SHNIKEES BATMAN - Obama's knockout punch against Hillary.
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 1:51 PM

Holy Freaky Deeky!

There's a lot of reasons why people don't like Hillary... but how many candidates could get one of her PRECINCT CAPTAINS to switch sides in the midst of the most important primary of her short life? This 2min video is deadly... DEADLY!

It is a knockout blow for so many reasons:

1. It plays into the "hope filled" message of Barack Obama...
2. It is a PRECINCT CAPTAIN of Hillary's ground effort - in the very first state...
3. It is a FEMALE voter... (what Hillary HAS to have to overcome the number of African Americans that are now breaking for Obama.)

If I was Obama, I would re-order my television buy in Iowa and eliminate the single second avails, and put out half as many two-minute avails and run this video, again, and again, and again, and again...

I would like to point out - that it was me - Kevin McCullough who said way back in the late fall of 2006 that Obama would be the democrat nominee. (I could still be proven wrong, there is certainly still plenty of time.)

But this kind of stuff coupled with the "drugs, Muslim" and other negative attacks Hillary/Bill/Penn etc., have been unfurling seem to be rallying the undecided African Americans to Obama's side, and with a video like this - look for more and more and more women to break for him as well!

NYTimes: "Huckabee is no Theocrat. He simply believes in the power of the Christian message, and in his ability to embody and deliver it"
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 10:23 AM

No Theocrat...

Hugh Hewitt owes Mike Huckabee an apology.

Instead of quoting from an AP release of the story that sensationalized one aspect of a 12 page article in which he was first baited into commenting on whether Mormonism is a cult or religion (Huckabee answers, "religion") he (Hugh Hewitt) should have done due diligence...

Mike Huckabee was asked a direct question about Mormonism as a religion. His answer follows the reporter's question. And the reporter classifies the tone of voice that Huckabee uses as "innocent."

Huckabee is NOT using the opportunity to invoke Mitt Romney. IN FACT the article notes that Mike Huckabee does not invoke Mitt Romney's name the entire time the discussion is being had.

The entire NYTimes piece can be read here...
