Meghan McCain: It's My Party, I Can Cry If I Want To
Posted by: Jillian Bandes at 7:24 AM

She's a little whiny, but still as entertaining as ever:

The old conservatives of the past need to start accepting that this is a new era and I am a part of a new generation. I am as sick of the infighting as everyone else, but I would like to point out that I am not the one starting this fight or demanding that the other half of the party leave.

Are we demanding that she leave? Michelle Malkin certainly is. I don't much like her views, but I think she's kind of an interesting character in the Republican party. Why not keep her around, at least for a couple beers?

Why Mince Words When You Feel Free To Say It Like This?
Posted by: Jillian Bandes at 4:34 PM
Is anyone else perplexed by the most recent activity of Megan McCain on Twitter?
McCainBlogette: f--[expletive deleted] harvard MBA's, show me your nipple ring, harley and arm sleeves of tattoos and I will run away with you
A few moments earlier:
McCainBlogette: Sturgis has not helped my attraction for all things (men) inked up and dirty...
Sturgis is the name of a bike store.

Apparently, I'm not the only one giving her Twitter feed a second glance. From Hot Air's AllahPundit:

On one hand, I don't really think this kind of language is becoming to the daughter of our party's Presidential nominee. On the other hand, at least she's not keeping the Party stale...

John McCain continues the fight...
Posted by: John Hanlon at 11:28 PM

Stephen Moore had a really interesting interview with Senator and former presidential candidate John McCain in the Wall Street Journal today. You can check it out by clicking here.

For those who support the Arizona maverick, the following quote from Moore's article comes as great news.

"If you thought that the senior senator from Arizona would ride off into the political sunset last November, inconsolable after losing his bid for the presidency, think again. He’s over it. And he’s as energized and spry as ever I’ve known him."

Meghan McCain & 'View' Ladies Hog Pile On Laura Ingraham. Meghan: 'Kiss My Fat A#*!'
Posted by: Greg Hengler at 2:39 PM
The ladies have a legitimate argument against Ingraham because even though Laura had solid points deligitimizing Meghan's war-of-words, all umph was lost in her ad hominem attacks. If you wish to see a legitimate gripe against Ms. McCain read Michelle Malkin's latest column.

Note to RNC: More Action, Less “Tank”ing
Posted by: Tom DeLay at 10:43 AM
RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, who is now running for re-election, recently announced a new project to be run out of the national committee - The Center for Republican Renewal.

Now this, simply put, is a horrible idea.

Michael Barone: Exit Poll Error running as high as 11% in Obama's favor
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 8:33 PM
[fox_news-795681.jpg]
"WPE"

Amanda Carpenter reported that MSNBC has already called Pennsylvania for Obama... here's the reason why Fox News had not. (They now have...)

Michael Barone when asked by Brit Hume why they had not - was due to something called "WPE".

It stands for "within precinct error" and means the difference between the exit polls and the actual vote count.

Barone said, shockingly - "WPE is running as high as 11% in positive numbers for Obama."

Meaning exit polls mean zip... which we had been telling you all this time.

SHOCK CHART: Obama's Taxes vs. McCain's (FWD to everyone you know.)
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 2:50 PM
http://www.americans-working-together.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/obama_button.jpg
Side by side...

Dueling Tax Plans:
TYPE                       Current                    McCain                Obama
Capital Gains               15%                      15%                       20%
Dividends                    15%                      15%                       20%
Income/Payroll  (High)   35%                     35%                     43-45%
Estate Tax                    45%                     15%                       45%
Corporate Tax               35%                     25%                       35%
(...from CNN this morning.)

Why does any of it matter?

Notice Obama raises Capital Gains 5%? THAT is a tax increase he says you're not going to have to pay... unless you cash in a bond, sell a house, start using you're 401k, begin retirement, liquify an asset because you need the cash. Now 5% more of it is going to HIM. For THE ONE to determine how it should be used.

How 'bout those Obamian increases in Income/Payroll taxes? I was publicly disputed with on television the other day in relationship to the percentage rate where I used the 45% figure - though the Obama camp has secretly been using that number for weeks in their projections. So depending on WHO is telling the truth you will now be paying 43-45% if you make above 70k, 120k, 150k, 200k, or 250k. (And you do realize that 45% of 70k - essentially takes your net usuable take home--JUST FROM TAXES--down to 35k for the year.) Feel rich?

How about the Estate Tax that punished your loved ones if you wish to leave them the family farm, shoe shop, dry cleaners, diner, etc? McCain's plan would require you to pay only 15% of your after death taxes, Obama wants to suck the marrow clean at 45%. Gluttony is a sin! But this is a sin that hurts your family for YEARS to come.

ON-AIR NOW: w/ Ed Morrissey (HotAir.com)

Pre-Election HotAir - 3pm EST

Ed Morrissey will tee it up, and I will attempt to knock it stiff. The Election less than 18 hours away from polls opening, Ed and I will likely hit all the good stuff to hit in the last 48 hours... like:

Obama's illegal Auntie that was asked to cough up $260 for his campaign - when she was living in the public housing projects.

McCain's poll numbers tighten. And historic levels of undecideds still plague the pollsters.

And much much more...

Infomercial this!

It is the most viewed video on YouTube related to the campaign of 2008. Over 11 million people have viewed it. Over 35,000 people have rated it 4.5 stars. I doubt Senator Obama will see it... but he sure darn well should...

Things that make you go HMMMM...

No THAT kind of change...

It could NOT be said better than the estimable opinion of Ed Morrissey:
It’s interesting to see how the country that Barack Obama would have abandoned two years ago reacts to the idea of him leading the nation that liberated Iraq.  Unsurprisingly, most of those interviewed worried that Obama wouldn’t be able to stand up to the dimunitive genocidal lunatic to their east!
AND...
The Iraqis apparently understand global and regional politics better than Barack Obama. They certainly understand military strategy and tactics better than Obama.  They understand best of all what would have happened if Bush had followed Obama’s advice in 2007 rather than fighting the terrorists and securing Iraq.

...word!

Shock: LA Times supresses important information about THE ONE
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 10:54 AM
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/189/468729559_5379f5c079_o.jpg
All the news that's fit to be hidden...

So let's argue theoretically that a major news portal in the old media has a video tape that shows John McCain donning a set of sheets and dancing around flaming crosses... What's the bet that even if the tape had been given to the media agency with a request not to show it - that it would remain unseen?

So why would the newspaper remain silent while possessing video footage of  Barack Obama singing the praises of a "klansmen" from the middle east?

Camp McCain knows it would get the shaft if the press had something nearly as tasteless and reviling in its history. No wonder they're steamed:

"A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi," said McCain campaign spokesman Michael Goldfarb. " . . . The election is one week away, and it's unfortunate that the press so obviously favors Barack Obama that this campaign must publicly request that the Los Angeles Times do its job -- make information public."

Hollywood idiot speaks... dumb stuff comes out...
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 3:10 PM
http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/james-bond-16.jpg
I play a tough guy in the movies...

Even though I like him as the new James Bond, Daniel Craig's brain is so lame--when he speaks--he makes me wanna throw up a little bit in my mouth...

When asked by Parade magazine:
I finally ask this British actor a deeply American question: “Who do you think would be the better James Bond—Barack Obama or John McCain?”

Craig doesn’t hesitate. “Obama would be the better Bond because—if he’s true to his word—he’d be willing to quite literally look the enemy in the eye and go toe-to-toe with them.

I guess if you mean by "look them in the eye, and go toe to toe with them", "sit down with them without preconditions" then you may be right.

But come on Barack's never jumped out of an airplane, he's never been actually tortured, and the most death that Daniel Craig has ever come close to seeing are the stuntmen who keep biting it filming his stunt scenes on his behalf.

PLEASE... John McCain flew fighter jets, had several successful missions, got shot down by the enemy, and tortured for six years!!!

His shoulder blades were snapped like saltine crackers and they beat him into unconsciousness repeatedly.

Daniel Craig may think Barack's a tough guy... but that's just because they both would love to believe they've played one on TV.

McCain's been there, done that, and understands the real sacrifice in doing so.
