Autotune the News... Lettuce Leaf Legislation...

God Bless America!

Ok I admit it I have a new internet based way of passing 3 or 4 minutes a day. I was introduced to it by my buddy Sam who works at Fox Business Channel. There have been several of these that have been produced, and I'm personally hoping the the creators don't stop anytime soon.

There's not a lot on the origin of where it came from. This TIME article sort of tells the story.

I was asked by the Lovely Bride tonight whether I think the producers are left or right. My main thing is, I don't really care, they poke fun at ideas that need fun poked at.

For those of you who are uninitiated let me also tell you that there is an artistic side to me that I seldom talk about publicly. I am in fact a musician, have done a good deal of studio work, written, composed, conducted etc.

These little sketches take news media, public policy, politician arrogance/incompetency, and turn it into Comedy sketch humor, original music production, and even poke fun at the industry of pop music while they are at it.

I will share them over time with you but tonight thought it would be fun to clue you in to one of my favorites.

And one that Townhall's own Matt Lewis plays a cameo in. But whatever you do, don't miss Joe Biden's stirring solo:

Matt Lewis Media Today
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 2:10 PM
Barring some "breaking news," I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC between 3:30 and 4 pm EST, to talk about the Panetta vs. Cheney story.

I'm also scheduled to be on CNN with Lou Dobbs at around 7:30 EST.  I will be debating Reihan Salam on the future of conservatism (read more here).

(So, if you've seen enough Matt Lewis, I'd recommend avoiding those channels at those times...)

Are Michael Ledeen and Matt Lewis being unfair?

NOT the next Hill?

My buddy Matt Lewis seconded the point of Michael Ledeen's blogwonderment at the similarities between the Obamas and the Clintons.

Do not be confused, the Clintons share leftist ideals with the Obamas, and yes Michelle Obama is extremely ambitious. But calling her hyper-ambitious and thinking she would run for office to me seems a stretch.

Make no mistake the Obamas are progressive leftists whose ideas I disagree with nearly across the board. In fact I'd go so far as to say I'm not away of one idea that they have fought for through his legislative career, nor his present campaign for President that I would agree with.

From taxes to homosexual activism and everything in between particularly in the defense of our homeland - I couldn't disagree more with them.

But let it be noted clearly that the Obamas on the family level are an entirely different crew than the uber-pragmatic Clintons. For one - they love each other, and are raising two beautiful kids. Michelle was on record as NOT wanting Obama to run for both Senate AND President early on, and has said publicly that if he doesn't succeed on this go around -  she doesn't want him to run again. She insists that they would then go back to their career as law professors, hospital administrators, etc. You know the respectable professions they practiced prior to going on the public dole. And THAT'S something that the Clinton's have never known ANYTHING about.

(NEW POLL ROUND UP) Is a vote HUCK still a vote for Rudy?
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 1:50 PM

Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina, Florida
...NATIONALLY...

All of these numbers are impressive given what Huck has actually spent. Matt Lewis is attempting to out Huck everyone here on TownHall and he points to the naming of Ed Rollins to Huck's team. He also highlights the Jim Pinkerton piece that I failed to mention.

And he surmizes that the more liberals bash Huck the better he does... Which I could not agree more with.

That is also fundamentally the problem with a Rudy general election. No daylight between a Rudy vs. Hillary race. With Mitt or Huck you get enough daylight to ram a Mack truck through - and the MOST IMPORTANT THING THE GOP needs in its general election candidate is...?

CONTRAST!

UNTRUSTWORTHY TH's Matt Lewis sounding off on religion/humility!
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 11:27 AM

"Fair is fair..."

I love it when Matt is blogging before noon... Two items you must not miss: 1. The Huck-Wagon responding to the speech that shall not be named anything less than magnificent... and 2. The accusations being leveled at Huck for being a religious nut...

Rudy and Huck - ABSOLUTELY so fast!
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 5:05 PM

"Well...maybe I am a whatever you need kind of guy!"

Our own Matt Lewis posted, what I believe (and if I'm mistaken - please set me straight Matt) to be a post that was designed to sort of defang the idea that Huckabee isn't jockeying for a VP slot with Rudy. He cited a clip from my buddy Scott Wilder's show in which the Huck-Wagon makes a very clear assertive statement on abortion - and it's importance to the GOP:

Mike Huckabee: It Means President Hillary Rodham Clinton. It means the Republican Party loses a whole lot of folks including people like me who didn't become pro life because of my politics I became political because of my pro life convictions. That's what worries me when I see some of the people who say I've argued it both ways, I can be for or I can be against. Hey whatever you need. Well I'm not a whatever you need kind of a guy.

Spotting this I tuned into Scott's program at 6pm EST this hour only to hear Scott express throrough dismay at Huck's less than straightforward answer to George Stephanopolis on ABC yesterday when asked very clearly what it would mean to have a pro-abortion candidate leading the ticket. The Huckster panned on the substantive question by saying it would be a cheap shot... thus putting him at complete odds with his earlier answer FROM JUNE 15.

The difference now - as Scott pondered aloud - is that Huck possibly sees himself a spot on the ticket or perhaps in the cabinet of a Giuliani administration.

Something I was publicly speculating about weeks ago...

MORE Audience "Hillary-fixing?"
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 3:15 AM

"...um pearls...I mean...diamonds...no pearls..."

How many more of these stories will primary voters put up with?

Instead of being allowed to ask the question she, the UNLV student who is nearly a Truman Scholar had researched and came prepared to ask:

Yucca Mountain, NV is the proposed site for the country's nuclear waste repository. Despite scientific evidence that it is a vulnerable site, the federal government continues to push for the plan to move forward. The evidence relied on is unsound and the risks involved in transporting high-level radioactive waste across the country are high. What will you [Sen. Clinton] do to ensure that the best site/s is/are chosen for the storage of spent nuclear reactor fuel?

She instead ended up being instructed to ask Senator Clinton the question that ended the night, "Do you prefer diamonds or pearls?"

Clinton's opponents believe the CNN-micromanaged event had a pro-Clinton tilt. Between castrati Wolf Blitzer's refusal to ask the tough questions, and one more charge of "fixing" the questions for Hillary - it's hard to convince them otherwise...

Me either...

Matt Lewis has additionally significant thoughts on the CNN-Hillary connection...

1,000,000 satisfied readers can't be wrong...
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 1:14 PM

At roughly 11:47am EST this morning I had a split second of celebration. I know its nothing compared the legions of visitors that Hewitt, Ham, Lewis, Barnett, and company roll up weekly - but it thrilled me nonetheless.

A visitor from the domain: ARMY.MIL in Columbus, Georgia who stayed on my page for roughly 1:37 minutes became my 1,000,000th visitor to MuscleHeadRevolution

Sure it may not be Ham's millions, or Hewitt's tens of millions - but it made me happy.

And if YOU were that visitor and can to some degree prove it to me, I've got a gift for you - just hit me up via e-mail!
