VIDEO: "Public schools are accountable to US... not the other way around!"

*Snap... B. Bernice Elementary School!

I wrote my immediate reaction to this breaking story yesterday. I was literally still in the Fox News offices when my editor asked me sit down and drop three paragraphs in response. I did 500 words.

The issue of the school's response and role in this entire matter is still by far the most troubling element to it.

Well America's Newsroom allowed me to hold court again this morning, so I took them up on their offer. Regular Newsroom viewers notice that Alyson Camerotta was in for Megyn Kelly. The reason... Megyn was busy giving birth. Her first child, a son named Edward Yates after his two grandfathers. They are going to call him "Yates." Everyone at Xtreme Media, Townhall, and Baldwin/McCullough Radio wishes Megyn, hubby, and baby well!

I'm joining them in about 29 weeks!

And YES... I know I totally flunked "Baby Karl's Secret Shout Out!"

If you missed it here's how it all went down:

TIME TO PLAY: Baby Karl's Secret "Shout Out" on Fox: Today, 9:00am EST!
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 8:31 AM

I'm going to be in America's Newsroom on Fox News this morning in the 9:00am hour and I want YOU to watch and see if you can spot "Baby Karl Rove's" secret word of the day.

Here's how it works:
Baby Karl, the official talent manager/program consultant to Baldwin/McCullough radio will issue a "secret word" to Stevie B or KMC whenever we appear on a "talking head" show.

Then KMC or Stevie B is required to use this word in the natural course of conversation during our media appearance.

We will announce what the "secret word" is the day of.

Here's where you come in:
1. Watch the media appearance LIVE.
2. Then be the first person to respond to the most recent facebook status update from Stevie B or KMC

If you are one of the first ten to correctly quote the sentence the word is used in you win a fabulous new Baldwin/McCullough black and red wrist band!

TODAY'S WORD (which KMC will attempt to use on Fox News around 9:00 am this morning) is: AUTOMATON

So go have fun and play!

New Mama to be!

Nice things should happen to nice people. And I don't know anyone in the NYC media community that doesn't have nice things to say about Megyn Kelly. The FNC midday anchor and attorney who is frequently seen on FNC's prime time line-up, is expecting.

Running into Megyn in the Fox studios, I first mentioned this weeks ago on HotAir's Ed Morrissey show.

But Allahpundit and Mary Katharine Ham tweeted it today.

So official congratulations to Megyn! Everyone except Justice Ginsberg in America shares your joy. Justice Ginsberg will first consult with the French legal code before deciding.

Teachers 86 Kid's Obama-Masked Talent, Fear Of 'Offending People'
Posted by: Greg Hengler at 7:51 PM
Tolerance is a puzzling virtue because the whole point of it lies in putting up with some things that are immoral, offensive, erroneous, in poor taste, or in some other sense bad. In the “old school” years of Bible-believing/God-fearing folk there was tolerance shown to those who broke an objective standard rooted in Judeo-Christian values. This idea of an objective reality rooted in Judeo-Christian standards of right or wrong has given way to the “it’s all good” generation of people trying to “keep it real” (see real stupid). How do they keep it so “real”? Their feelings tell them how real it tiz.  So we got what we have here in the video. Someone’s delicate feelings were scratched and that was enough to shut the kid out of the school's talent show.  A perfect example of liberal “tolerance.”

As we see here, the most formidable obstruction to free speech on campus, however, is not the direct censorship code but a political and social environment in which people with politically incorrect opinions are downcast, slandered, ostracized, and ignored. Even though they do not constitute a majority, politically correct campus activists (especially teachers) do make up a kind of “moral majority,” enjoying tremendous leverage within an environment that is already hypersensitive to any indications of racism or bigotry. In several instances, some highly publicized and others relatively unknown, professors/teachers who have opposed politically correct nostrums have found themselves unemployed, or shamed by administrative reprimands and sanctions.  Numerous other professors and students have received the message: rather than jeopardize being pulled into a vortex of allegations, sensitivity indoctrination, or censure, they naturally refrain from articulating unpopular sentiments; they censor themselves. This kid will quickly learn to follow the party line or simply shut up.

In this country, for the foreseeable future, the chief danger to moral, cultural, and religious toleration arises not from our avowed religions (as many on the Left adhere to) but from the unavowed and illiberal religion of liberalism itself.

Megyn Kelly: So US Weekly punk... what's with the biased cover... dummy?

dressin' 'em down

If you missed it the last two days - Megyn has taken the narrative saga of Sarah Palin rather personally. She's been downright feisty about the whole matter - so much so that when she got the disreputable editor from US Weekly in her sights - she let him have it. If you missed it:

FoxNews SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!!!

Canceled!

A few months back John Gibson rocked his time-slot. Then some dufus up the  food chain decided he needed to be "sexied up" a little. The Heather Nauert fast track was put into play but as likeable as both individuals are the effect of the move was not beneficial from a ratings perspective...

And now it has officially cost Gibby his timeslot as well...

I like Hemmer and Kelly - in fact I think they have a lot of personality.

The image “http://www.cameroncole.com/gallery/News_Babes/Fox_News/Megyn_Kendall/200503010001.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

But if Gibby's solo show was in a timeslot against "America's Election HQ" and even if Fox put the attractive and leggy Kelly in a swimsuit - I'd still take Gibby's show.

It was just THAT good!

NYPD's Commissioner DISTANCING from Rudy's budget misdeeds...
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 7:54 AM

"Rudy's Misrepresentin'..."

The current NYPD police chief is adding to Rudy Giuliani's corruption woes, distancing himself, and calling out the former Mayor. He asserted in Newsday that Rudy's story does not add up:

Giuliani, a two-term mayor serving from 1994 through 2001, has faced questions this week over whether he tried to hide certain expenses during his second term as mayor. The inquiries came after a report surfaced Wednesday on the Web site Politico.com detailing how travel and security costs were shifted to obscure city agencies from 1999 to 2001, during a time Giuliani was reportedly involved in an affair with Judith Nathan, now his third wife.

Giuliani and his aides on Thursday said there was nothing improper about how nearly $600,000 in travel bills run up by his security detail that was not immediately registered as an expense incurred by the mayor's office. Giuliani's defense is that the NYPD was slow to pay its bills, forcing his office to bill the other agencies.

Kelly said on Friday he could not comment on those expenses because he was not police commissioner during the years in question.

But a high-ranking police official said the department has quietly looked into the matter over the last few days and found no evidence the NYPD was slow to pay the mayor's office. Typically, said the official, who asked his name not be used, the mayor's office would make any arrangements necessary whenever Giuliani traveled out of town with the detail. After the trip, the mayor's office would bill the NYPD, which in turn would ask the comptroller's office to pay the mayor's office out of the NYPD budget.
