2pm: I don't understand why everything I fail at - is always someone else's fault. Now black people not voting for Obama is because of an inferiority complex: "You know, there's always that doubt in the back of the minds of people of color. People who've been oppressed and haven't been given real opportunities. That you never really believe. That you believe that somehow, someone is better than you. You know, deep down inside, you doubt whether you can do it, because that's all you've been told, is "no, wait." That's all you hear, and you hear it from people who love you. Not because they don't care about you, but because they're afraid." I know that elements of racism do still exist in America. As the father of a special needs African-American son I worry about the world he's stepping into. I reject Mrs. Obama's ideas and will not allow my son to be affected by such a fear. 800.345.WMCA.
3pm: I have a dilemma. I believe that Government should not harrass or invade the privacy of my children. But what about when other accountable adults don't do their job? Breathalyzers and pad downs, micro-chips for GPS tracking, metal detectors with bars on windows. Is it school? Or Prison? I don't want Government invading my child's privacy. I'm a responsible parent - and my child should have the right to live in freedom - as long as their own personal actions are moral. You probably disagree with me, or maybe you don't. (And 73% of YOU agreed, only 26% said use the technology to keep them safe...)
3:20pm The United States Senate is taking an interest in how much a pastor makes... so at the very least shouldn't we? Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said those under scrutiny include faith healer Benny Hinn, Georgia megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar and one of the nation's best known female preachers, Joyce Meyer. Grassley sent letters to the half-dozen Christian media ministries earlier this week requesting answers by Dec. 6 about their expenses, executive compensation and amenities, including use of fancy cars and private jets. In a statement, Grassley said he was acting on complaints from the public and news coverage of the organizations. "The allegations involve governing boards that aren't independent and allow generous salaries and housing allowances and amenities such as private jets and Rolls Royces," Grassley said. So many pastor's labor for the store front churches here in New York, and take full time jobs outside just to pay bills. So deciding how to figure out the compensation for your pastor is one important job. How well are we doing? 800.345.WMCA.
3:55pm: The McCULLOUGH PUNCH It's a LOT more than just FOOTBALL!
