Why does Texas have only 1 possible case of swine flu and New York have possibly 20?
Certainly when you look at the numbers of cases in the U.S. that very interesting number stands out.
You know what stands out even more?
How dumb this administration is...
Borders should have been shut within the first 24 hours that it was commonly realized that the cases were getting worse in Mexico. Now over a 1000 have contracted it, more than a 100 are dead, and still our feckless leader does nothing to contain border activity.
You know what one of the really good reasons to have international borders between nations is?
To keep disease from crossing territorial lines... Why do you think they do not allow certain aspects of fresh foods to be brought back from certain parts of the world?
Here's the thing, the open borders cabal (which Obama subscribes to 100%) believes that all the world's problems are ALL of the world's problems. Of course a more stupid thought has seldom been thought.
Dependable, reasonable, and enforceable immigration policy disallows the spread of contamination, disease, and by extension death to a nation's population. National government's number one priority is to provide for the common defense of her people, and according to our Constitution that's BOTH foreign and domestic.
Obama, by trotting out the Arizonan joke (apologies to all my new Arizona College GOP friends) Janet Napolitano, demonstrates no seriousness concerning this outbreak. And she is a national embarrassment -- she didn't even know where the 9/11 hi-jackers came from.
Border enforcement is one of the few things that a large federal government should actually be spending money on. Closing the border at our discretion when a health crisis erupts is not a racist idea, its a GREAT idea.
In other parts of the world they are getting far more picky about who they let in. See the infared temperature guage they are now using in Jakarta above?
And who would've ever thought that the blind Democrats would be the one leading the way... but the credit where credit is due department is acknowledging
the ferocious leadership of Eric Messa - D from New York.
Oh and what HAS the administration done in the face of this pandemic...?
Posted some new info about it on their dandy little website.
Good for President Dum-Dum!
Next week... he might try taking a stab at mid-level decision making...
