Sen. John McCain sent out an email today announcing the creation of his new political action committee. Here's a quick excerpt from the email announcement:
"Just as I have proudly served my country for more than half a century I am as committed as ever to helping see our mission through.
So to continue the movement, I have decided to launch a new grassroots organization called Country First."

Hey Seadog, why don't you post how many planes McCain crashed before he crashed in Viet Nam. Was it something like five or thereabouts. While your're at it why don't you post his graduation rank out of more that 400 graduates at the sailor school that his daddy got him into. Yeah, why don't you just do that instead of posting your ad hominem remarks.
He was a sorry student, a sorry pilot, and because of his terrible legislative history, i.e. McCain- Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, etc. and his open border pro illegal agenda favoring law breaking non citizens over tax paying law abiding American citizens, I say he is a sorry American. I might add that his ridiculously incompetent and dumb behavior in the presidential campaign where he all but gave the Presidency to a socialist confirms a lot about him.
Oh, I voted for him in the general election because uninformed people like you, I am guessing, gave me and many others no choice when he was foolishly made the Republican nominee.
And now he wants to help us get the right people elected. Give me a break. |
|
Too bad McCain didn't put "Country First" when he picked Caribou Barbie.
That was obivously "Campaign First." |
|
cretins who think they actually know something about McCain.
I voted for McCain because he was the best of two bad choices, but that takes NOTHING from his service to his country.
To the idiots who think he was a bad pilot . . . every repeat every carrier landing is graded. Those who repeatedly make poor landings are decertified as carrier pilots. These pilots end up flying cargo or recon planes ashore or are removed from aviation duty. The grades are tough too -- no slack is given, regardless of rank. |

but many of his policy ideas are not conservative. That is where my heart is. While I supported him against the Bamster,he was the only choice. So I think my money would be better spent with another conservative group that better share my views. |

exercise it. Your insults and rudeness is becoming annoying to most readers on this site. Can you find an intelligent way to make your point? or else, you can find liberal sites where discussion, and debate is used to insult others. Around here we prefer to actually disagree amicably. FYI - your freedom was made possible by those who served, McCain and every other man and woman in uniform included. |
|
Firstly, thank you for service. Many of us round here truly appreciate it. Some of us comprehend that once a freedom is won, often it is maintained only by the spilled blood of the many heroes that have fought and died to keep us free.
Like Senator McCain, my father in law was also a naval aviator much of his adult life from the early 40s through the late 60s. Like McCain he also had to ditch a plane. Unfortunately he did it in France just after take off and the plane took out a house an killed an occupant. The scum-bag Frenchies tried him for murder. Nice people, huh? Sadly that same idiotic mind set inhabits some of the trolls round here. |
|
(aka WindowCleaner) references ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE for her "facts"....... Those bunch of stoners?????? I can't quit laughing!!!! Her next "truths" will be from Stewart & Colbert on Comedy Central....... Hey witch........try occasionally referencing ADULT sources if you want to be taken seriously..... |

Now you must stop, your very freedom and free speach are provided by rhose of us who served in the armed forces, and you have NO CLUE as to what MCCAIN did or didnt go through in Nam, you have what "OTHERS" have TOLD you.I am so tired of you idiots who live and prosper in a country thats freedoms and protections are provided by the people you seem to detest the moct, and those jerks who attack the country and demean it in every way are your HEROS.MCCAIN was and is a HERO, un like the lieing piece of crap you dems put out as a hero. You need to learn to either appreciate and respect those who protect this country or you should leave and go live in a country like france that will let you be concoured without a fight and I hope the day comes when there is a situatuin where you personaaly NEED some one from the military to come to you aid and defend your life and that they say NO. |

Getting shot down in an airplane that, from past experience, you were probably barely competent to fly anyway doesn't make you a hero. And neither does being a prisoner of war. How about the hundreds of thousands that didn't survive the hell of war and never came back because they died for their country. Not all of them were heroes either but they gave a lot more for their country than John McCain. McCain used the "I am a hero" gig to reach heights in politics that were undeserved considering his character and intelligence. I don't begrudge him that because most politicians use gimmicks or phony accomplishments to advance their political careers. But America is paying the price now with his McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, open border Mexico first, global warming, agenda and constant back stabbing his own political party, and finally with his totally stupid incompetent campaign for President which gave the White House to a Socialist.
Julie, you want to know. I enlisted when the Korean conflict started. I was willing to go anywhere my country wanted me to go. Mechanics to keep the bulldozers running that were building air strips in the Philippines were needed worse than warriors I guess because that's where they kept me for four years. It wasn't war but it wasn't a picnic either. Living in tents in a cleared out space in the jungle sleeping on a cot was not as bad as a POW lived but it was not fun. Fungus, mosquitoes, and the rainy season made me wish many times that they would deploy me to Korea. And you Shannon, need to do a little more research on the people you idolize. |
|
If he truly though of country first, he would have actually campaigned for president, and chosen as a veep, someone with serious creds, rather than another bimbo./
Country first. Yea, right. |
|
Lola - "stint as a POW". Yes, dear McCain did show us where his loyalties lie, with the country. There could not be a simplier slogan, I guess you still don't get it. Is that stint, like I did a stint as a journalist over the summer, or stint as a dog catcher?
Wil - "He was a sorry student, a sorry pilot, and is a sorry American." You, my friend, are a piece of work. |
|
I don't know where all of you were when John McCain was stuck in a hell hole as a POW. Like most other Americans, I was quite happily oblivious to his (and many others') sufferings. They didn't teach us about "that war" back then.
So, all of you McCain bashers, where were you? What did you suffer from? Come on, I really want to know! |
|
Break out those checkbooks, Mac needs your support!
|
|
When he says Country first I am sure he is talking about Mexico. He darn sure doesn't think about the hard working, tax paying, American citizens first. They take second place to law breaking illegal aliens as far as McCain is concerned.
He was a sorry student, a sorry pilot, and is a sorry American. The only thing he has been good at is picking a rich wife after ditching his first one.
Republicans and the country needs him like a hole in the head. |
|
Yes, folks do know where John McCain's loyalty is located. It is located in serving his country as he has done since he was about eighteen.
Crawl back in your hole, Cull! |
|
For people to start bashing McCain (again) for trying to do something worthwhile (again).
And Lola C., the first poster, please get a grip. A lot of "lower" middle-class people are huge McCain supporters.
I for one consider my "lower" class status to be pretty darned comfortable. My family doesn't have a big screen TV, but we have TV!!! And a computer!!! And telephones!!! And plenty to eat!!! Heat, air conditioning, hot water, need I go on? We pay for it all with hard-earned dollars, and still find a few bucks to give to charity.
But it won't be long before the Government classifies us as "poor" and decides to give us something. NO THANKS! |

I got the email. Says he wants to elect politicians who "will become fierce advocates for limited government, economic opportunity, personal responsibility and strong national security." I am all for electing such candidates. However, when it comes to which PAC to support, I feel the “Club for Growth” has done an amazing job finding such candidates to support and will likely support them over McCain’s new PAC. |
|
I got that email and promptly deleted it. The old goat grudgingly got my vote as I saw his opponent as too wet behind the ears and naive to take on the job of POTUS. Thankfully Obama is staffing his cabinet with people who know the score, much to the chagrin of the leftian mob.
As for ole Johno, he lost the race when he sauntered back to DC to "help" with the financial bailout bill in September citing that old furht-ish sounding "Country First" slogan. Conservatives had no trust in him at all, and independents saw him as an old hack Senator from a Congress with approval ratings lower than Bush's - no small feat that! All the while Obama WISELY stood off to the side looking like an outsider seemingly shaking his head along with the rest of us saying, "I don't know what the heck those guys are doing other than the usual nonsense!" while the credit market melted down. This PAC is more of the same.
John, I hear Arizona is beautiful this time of year. Why don't you go enjoy it? |
