Axelrod: Obama Didn't Know About Ayers Bombed Capitol
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 9:12 AM
Barack Obama's campaign guru David Axelrod admitted Obama had no idea about William Ayers violent history when Ayers raised money for Obama and they served together on the board of a Chicago-based foundation.

CNN's Jim Acosta asked Axelrod, "Now a college professor in Chicago, Ayers and Obama served together several years on a nonprofit board.  And in 1995 Ayers hosted a coffee for Obama when the young community organizer was making his first run for the State Senate.  At this point looking back, should he not have done that?"

Axelrod replied, "Well I mean, when he went, he certainly -- he didn't know the history."

"The Democratic nominee's chief strategist David Axelrod maintains Obama at that time had no idea about Ayers' violent past," Acosta clarified in a concluding clip.

Throughout Obama's presidential campaign critics have questioned Obama's ties to Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist who once took part in bombing the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol as a member of the Weather Underground in the 1960's.

When Obama was asked about his relationship with Ayers during a Democratic primary debate last year, Obama said "this is guy who lives in my neighborhood" and compared Ayers to someone else Obama doesn't always agree with---Republican Sen. Tom Coburn.

In a separate interview on CNN Robert Gibbs, Obama's senior adviser, confirmed Axelrod's admission about Obama's ignorance about Ayers.

"Look, if that's what David said, that is true," Gibbs said.

hmm, Obama KNOWS about Martin Luther
King Jr, Malcolm X, Saul Alinsky and a whole bevy of others during that same time frame, but he just conspiciously doesn't know about Ayers?

Only a kool-aid drinker would even begin to believe Obama's latest excuses.

Nobama KNEW
There is NO WAY that Nobama didn't know about Ayers' past.

There are many radicals involved with Nobama throughout the years starting with his "mentor" in Hawaii, communist Frank Marshall Davis.

Barack Obama is so far left, he could be a poster boy for the communist movement in this country today...perhaps he already is.

Actually simple to explain
Obama knew Ayers before he didn't know Ayers.
Stephen writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 11:08 AM
What a load of crap....
Cbama rabble-roused for years in Chicago, had his political career jumpstarted at Ayers' house and wasted $100M as director of the CAC and now claims he didn't know Ayers bombed the capital. Give me a f-ing break! If the American people are that stoooooopid then we as a nation will deserve what we get if the Obamarxist is elected. Chairman Obama will destroy this country.

I can see it now. Obama will sit down with Achmadinejad and reach a 'peace agreement'. Then Achmadinenutjob will nuke Israel. Obama will have a press meeting and say, 'That is not the Achmadinejad I knew'.
SMILE writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 10:53 AM
What does he know?
This brings to mind the question what does Obama know. Does he know anything about his associates? What does he know about his pastor? What does he know about the people that helped start his political career? What does he know about his friends? What does he know about the people he has real-estate dealings with? Will he be this ignorant when he goes into talks with other countries, and with our enemies?

I have one word to say "BULLS--T!"

Either Obama is lying or he is incredibly dumb!

Character/Judgement
It is obvious by his associations with questionable people, that Barrack Obama does not possess the character and judgement to be our leader. He went along with Barney Frank and Chuck Schumer in pressuring banks to make risky loans to unqualified borrowers. He was in a meeting with then Fannie ceo Mudd and the Congressional Black Caucus when Mudd expressed that his company was in trouble Barrack's response to the crisis was his accepting 126K and looking the other way. It is sad that the media are in the tank for Obama and if elected, this country will revert to the Jimmy Carter years. If more people knew who this man is,they
would run from him as fast as they could. He is bad news. He chose a running mate, Joe Biden, who a few months ago was soundly rejected by the american public as a potential president. Now, these same democrats thinks he is ready to step in as president should the need arise. It shows me that these people are blindly following someone who has charisma and speaks well. They have no idea of his dealings with ACORN which is
at the root of the Fannie/Freddie problems which resulted in a 700B bailout. The democrats are up to their eyeballs in this mess and the media blames the republicans and gives the democrats a pass. Obama is at the center of it all and yet there are enough idiots out there to elect him.

So ...
What did Obama do when he found out ?

Did he cut off contact with Ayers and denounce him ?

And when did he find out ... 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002 ? When ?
Salty_Dawg writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 10:08 AM
There's too much on the line . .
to have a President that "didn't know".

John McCain and Sarah Palin KNOW and that's exactly what this country needs during these turbulent times.

What's barry going to say when Russia attacks Estonia or Latvia or Lithuania -- "he didn't know".

What if Opec decides to hold back our oil, or if Venezuela decides to drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. What will barry say: "he didn't know".

What if the World falls into a deep depression: "he didn't know".

There is way TOO much at stake to have a President that "didn't know".

Vote McCain/Palin because "they Know". There will be NO excuses this time.
Mrs Ramsey writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 10:03 AM
Give us a break
he thinks we are stupid. They associate with a terrorist, both of them his wife and Mr. Obama associate with Ayers and Dorn, terrorist couple No. 1 of America and he didn't know? He hosted a fundraiser for Obama and he didn't know? This is something we can bank on? as we can bank on his assitance in bringing down our economy with all his other senatorial tugs??? and his Acorn friends? and we are supposed to elect him our next president???? Yeah....right!
Screwtape writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 9:59 AM
Can't have it both ways...
Obama has been maintaining that he barely knew Ayers. Now he is suggesting that he knew him but didn't know his history? How about he knew Ayers and knew his history but didn't care about it? That version sounds much more likely.
Brian writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 9:55 AM
Didn't know??
This is just another example of the lack of curiousity of the drive by media. Barak also was unaware of Reverend J. Wright's anti America comments and positions.
Barney Frank was unaware when his boyfriend was running a prostition ring out the basement of his house.
I think we need people in political office who are aware of what is going on. Barak Obama just isn't aware.
Nick Stuart writes: Monday, October, 06, 2008 9:39 AM
Oh Please...
Obama didn't know??

Would the media let McCain get away with a "Didn't know?"

Stipulating for the sake of argument Obama really didn't know, the question then would be "why not?"

It's not like Ayers wasn't infamous. Is/was Obama really that much a naif? If so what does that imply about his judgment and fitness for office as president?
