Obama Calling ICE Agents Terrorists?

Barack Obama spoke today to the Latino interest group La Raza ("The Race"). No doubt the more militant members were already favorably disposed toward him, what with his insistence that American parents should be making sure their children speak Spanish.
But what caught my eye was this snippet:
The system isn't working . . . when communities are terrorized by (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) immigration raids, when nursing mothers are torn from their babies, when children come home from school to find their parents missing.
Really? So what this means is that ICE officials, enforcing this country's immigration laws, are terrorists?
As for the nursing mothers being "torn" from their babies, here's the context, courtesy of The Boston Globe:
Immigration agents "worked closely with DSS both before the operation commenced and at every stage of the operation, to be sure that no child would be without a sole caregiver," Julie L. Myers , the assistant secretary of homeland security, wrote in a letter to Patrick.
Myers, as well as a spokesman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said that each of the 361 detainees was asked about child-care needs several times. They pointed out that 60 women who were found to be the sole caregivers to their children have since been released, though they will still face a court hearing.
Contrary to Barack's insinuation, it is not US policy to tear children from their mothers' arms. And perhaps the ICE officials Obama accuses of "terroriz[ing]" -- who are already doing a difficult and thankless job -- deserve a little more respect from the guy who's campaigning to be their boss.

This is the type HYPOCRITICAL crap we can expect to hear from Obama and his force for the next 4 years. Our security, military and intelligence will be set back for years. His (Obama) ICE remarks are just like some liberal would spout at Bush. Our new President will probably open the borders enough to satisfy the Mexicans and liberals.
What a crying shame for America. What an open season for illegals to swim through. What a moment in history when you liberals and independants elected an inexperienced jerk. And, with a caucasion hateing wife, this should make for some interesting days ahead for America.

I agree with you 100%, I too heard and watched the same speaches you refer to on Fox News TV. Nobody can refute the fact that Obama made these statements. That is what angers me about the Liberal Left... they always NEED to be right, and everone else wrong! |

Between the citizens of the United States and the anarchistic war going on in Mexico. Obama needs to remember that. These brave men and women go out each day and night to protect the sovereignty and citizens of the United States. They uphold the laws that even our own government fail to follow. Obama obviously has no love for the LAW and LAW ENFORCEMENT. His days of drug use convey that attitude. His want for law breakers to be rewarded seals it. He is part of the problem, not the solution. Remember this when you go to bed at night. The U.S. Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement are the ONLY THING standing in the way of the death and destruction being waged across our southern border.

I see that is a large part of the function of the blogesphere, but it is the equivalent of mental fast food, and I am tired of eating it, so to speak. |

Not surprisingly at all, Carol joins the growing litany of RW'ers spreading the Big Lie about Obama-- that he'll mandate the learning of a second language, Spanish. He did no such thing, as these liars are probably aware.
For Carol, it's "his insistence..." a little tempered from Hugh Hewitt and John Hinderaker's "diktat" from Obama-- but still with this tone of forcing something on Americans by government fiat. Even Nixon, in 1960 didn't resort to charging that JFK was going to force physical fitness on Americans.
You'll get a few extra votes that way, but eventually it'll backfire on you, if there's any justice. |

I live on the bordere. Illegals killed my friend, a young father. A 15-year-old girls waiting for the school bus was raped by illegals in my neighborhood.
Roger Hedgecock yesterday played an old audio of GWB (prior to his first election) saying we need to secure the border. Maybe you like GWB ons some things, but on this he was a big fat liar!\
Mack has been saying we need to secure the border. Is he lying too? Probably.
But Obama knocking ICE in order to pander to La Raza? Despiciable beyond words. These guys down here put their lives on the line for US.
V.Pat. is correct. We don't need reform. We need enforcement of the laws we have, just like Mitt's always said.
Nothing's going to get better down here until the people of the US rise up and make a huge fuss before the POTUS. The voice of the people, people, is the only thing that's going to get some attention.
If the the pols don't think the people care, the pols don't care. As we've said before, the Dems want votes and the Pubs want slaves.

We need Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, not reform. We need to restore respect for the law and the faith of the American people that their government is not selling them out. Amnesty for the illegal aliens is also amnesty for the corrupt companies who have been employing them. Money trumps everything, including love of country. Multi-nationals have no loyalty to country by definition, they see us as a market, not a nation. They see people as workers, documented or undocumented, no difference. If they can't send the work to where the labor is cheaper, then they want to bring the cheap labor here. If citizenship becomes meaningless, this is no longer The United States of America.
If we love our Constitution and our representative Republic and we intend to keep it we must not surrender our sovereignty or abandon the rule of law. Profits must not supercede security. We should not create a new path to citizenship. We have a path to citizenship, more generous than any other country, illegal aliens have ignored it and bad choices do have consequences.

Senators Obama and McCain have no intention of enforcing our immigration laws. Both of them are pandering to citizens of other countries ILLEGALLY in our country. Neither will stand up for U.S. citizens.
God's children should not be expected to comply with our laws, learn our language, assimilate into our culture, or have any loyalty to America. Juan Hernandez wouldnt like it. |
