Being a journalist or law enforcement officer requires checking facts before going to print or arresting somebody. Being a pundit or blogger requires nothing but the desire to repeat or make up what sounds good to you. Makes you drunk, doesn't it?
As Americans we reject being ruled by drunken mobs.
ACORN helps poor people, minorities, and young people to register to vote. They hire thousands to do this work (paid hourly, NOT per registration card), and as with any organization there will be some slackers who won't work and just turn in false registrations. They spend millions of dollars on a highly-praised and sophisticated quality control system to root out these problems. ACORN turns in workers caught falsifying registrations to law enforcement and helps prosecute them.
Most states require them by law to turn in every registration card, so they separate the suspect registrations and flag them as suspicious. ACORN doesn't have to do that but they do.
The justice department did a study and found that the concept of widespread voter fraud has no actual merit. What other independent studies have found is that the real threat to voters' rights is the effort to suppress votes using tactics like removing names from rolls by the thousands if their addresses don't match up exactly, blocking early voting, passing laws to require a picture ID, or any number of things targeted at poor and minority populations.

In his very first run for public office BO was the hand picked successor to a Ms Palmer as IL state senator from south Chicago.
Ms Palmer suddenly found that she would not be moving on to higher office and got well over a thousand signatures on a petition to get her name on the ballot for her old job which meant she would be running against BO.

In Germany, when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial depression. Money was worth nothing. In Germany people lost homes and jobs, just like in the American Depression in the 1930s, which we have read about in Thoene’s Shiloh books.
In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to power by promising “Change.” He blamed the “Zionists” around the world for all our problems.
He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had caused every problem we had. He promised when he was leader, the greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would be wiped off the face of the earth. So Hitler was elected to power by only 1/3 the popular vote. A coalition of other political parties in parliament made him supreme leader.
Then, when he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did not go along with him. Yes, change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would. The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to
sing songs in praise of Hitler.
This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer’s programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the playyard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school. My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school.

That's not quite true in this election alone there have been a number of ACORN managers arrested. That's the people running the registration drives not some dolt who registered illegally but the people encouraging the illegal registrations. When you add to it that in Ohio alone they have 200,000 illegal registrations by ACORN it would seem that with criminal investigations opened up and on-going that more ACORN crooks will be off to jail.
Voter registration is a great thing but fraud does nothing but skew the election. In fact a solid argument can be made that because polls are skewed based on voter party registration that part of the reason Liberals have been so shocked in the past few elections would be due to voter fraud. It's not unusual for a poll to ask 1500 people who they favor for President but when you drill down into the poll you find that they asked 900 Democrats and 600 Republicans and then reported the results as a straight percentage. Given that I must ask why are the polls so close? Might it be that without skewing the result based on party registration there might be a more accurate assessment of the state of the race. Might it be that McCain is actually ahead but due to ACORN's skewing of the democratic voter registration the polls aren't accurate. Kind of like when Kerry was running. And before that when Gore was running. In fact ACORN has been doing this for 30 years back to the Reagan days and the polls had Carter way ahead of Reagan when he won. |

I am so sick of hearing that it is not ACORN's fault. There is so much fraud in ACORN that it is unbeliveable. Besides them using part of the grants they received for mortgages, and then transferring it to their voter campaign is just an example. The bottom line is ACORN is acting as one company instead of separating their business units as first intended. I am also sick of hearing Mickey Mouse will not show up to vote. It's not about who shows up, its' about the confusion being committed by these forms and causing people to already think that we will have errors before the election even gets here. I want to know where the outrage is in the Republican party leadership and in Congress, and what are they doing to protect the rights of ordinary citizens? I own some rental property, and I am wondering if I should sell before the Obama Gestapo seizes my property, using manipulative local zoning, code inspection, taxes, etc.

Write a letter to the DOJ, and tell them we think it is unjust of Obama to take our hard earned money and give it to a stranger. Do you think they would be inclined to investigate that one. That seems like a form of robbery to me.
