Fred Thompson's First Ad
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 8:35 PM
If Fred Thompson runs, his first ad might look like this ...

Jimmy Carter v Duncan Hunter
truthbetold,

Don't know why this seems to have been relevant to you:

Jimmy Carter was arguably the worst President this great country has ever endured, and I think strongly of Buchanan when I say that.

That being said: before Jimmy Carter was President of the United States he was the Governor of Georgia; before (and during) that time he was in charge of the family peanut farming business which, say what you will, was and is a very large and successful commercial enterprise; before that he was one of Hyman Rickover's fair-haired boys in the U.S. Navy which is an elite of the elite's elite group to have been a member of. Lots and lots of executive decision making was part of Jimmy Carter's 'formative' years - enough in fact that it should have been plainly obvious to the country that he was NOT going to be a good President.

Duncan Hunter may be a nice guy and was probably a high-speed, low-drag Army Ranger but he's never been the executive of anything. His son on the other hand,...

Obviously a joke ad designed by a Dem
Everyone mentioned in that ad is made to look like a fool. Thompson is a serious candidate regardless of what Matt Lewis may think. He and Hunter are the only ones who are on the right on every issue. Even if they were light on experience, I would rather vote for someone who agrees with me on issues than someone who will impose the opposition's agenda. It's beginning to look like all of the big 3 are in trouble and if the GOP doesn't get its act together, it will have dug itself into a hole too deep to climb out of. It is time to let McCain begin his third party campaign and begin serious discussions of Thompson and Duncan because it is beginning to look like Romney will never get it going and Giuliani looks most vulnerable against a true conservative.

What did Jimmy "Peanut Brain" Carter do before he became President?

Duncan and Fred
I'm from Oceanside so, while Duncan Hunter is not my congressman (Issa) he is close enough for me to be more familiar with than 95% of the country. Duncan seems to be a very good, very conservative Republican,... For me though, if he's serious about running for chief executive, he should try being executive of something else first so that I have a basis for judging his skill under decision-making pressure. Maybe he could try being San Diego County Supervisor or even Governor of California first, then we'll talk about President.

Same thing goes for Fred Thompson.

Anybody but Rudy McRomney
Run Fred Run!
And if he doesn't:

Republican voters still get to decide who their nominee will be. Money only buys elections when people act like sheep. If 80% of Republicans are indeed seeking a conservative, we can nominate one. We can nominate Duncan Hunter. The money players won't like it and are trying to convince us only Rudy, Romney, or McCain can win. Hogwash. 49% of people will never vote for Hillary. Only 60% voted last time and turnout was the difference. My belief is Rudy would push turnout down. There might even be a third party, splitting the vote. Give Americans a chance to vote for a candidate who WILL secure the border and watch what happens to turnout. Americans want their government to fulfill it's most basic responsibility.

The primary responsibility of the U.S. government is to protect the territorial integrity and people of this country. They have completely abdicated this responsibility. Both parties have been complicit in this. We are being told it is not possible to control our borders, enforce our laws, and thereby control our destiny as a nation. Hogwash. We are being sold out by corporations intent on importing workers for jobs that can't be exported with the taxpayers paying the true costs, financial and human. If we act like sheep and don't stop the inundation across our borders, we will lose our country without a bleat.
