Schism in the Lefty Netroots?

Some pro-Clinton bloggers are declaring a "writers' strike" on the lefty Daily Kos site. One justified the decision on "the abusive nature of certain members of our community.”

Newsflash!? Really? If one wanted truly to encounter the "abusive nature" of some of the lefty netroots, try posting as a conservative on the Huffington Post web site. The profanity, even the obscenity, of the vitriolic denunciation that fills one's email box after a post is almost unbelievable.

Let's hope the internecine warfare on the lefty side of the web will alert the well-meaning people there that there's a real problem with the way some of their less-polite compatriots conduct themselves.

I have seen posts from some of the lefty sites, and they are far, far worse than anything I have seen on TH. At least you are allowed to post here, Isabella. I know that the big lefty sites tend to squash any conservative posts. If you think it is so vitriolic, why do you come here? I would not go to a site that I felt I needed a bath after reading it.

there's been some nasty name calling here at TH, insulting people's intel- ligence because of differing opinions, and conservative writers can tell half truths just as well as liberal writers can.

The vitriol sure as hell gets trashier on DailyKos and all those other lefty blogs. Far trashier (and angrier and meaner and filled with hate). Whereas the "righty" blogs attempt to argue using facts. Your typical lefty loonies (oh, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings with the lefty loonies comment - how so very vitriolic of me)argue with emotion and feelings (and a lot of F-bombs). Another thing the lefty blogs do is use half truths or plain incorrect "facts" (as you would call them) and then when someone debates or has proof to the contrary, they are thrown out or simply verbally crucified by the bloggers or host on the site. By the way, wasn't it one of your own that said we have the right to debate and disagree? Apparently that is impossible if you are on a lefty blog.

I love it when the munkees throw doo at each other. The DailyKOS is one of the largest stacks of munkee-doo on the 'Net. Apparently, the munkees wander out of their cages and fling doo here, too. I notice some stainage above.

Excuse me?!? The vitriole doesn't get any trashier than right here at TH when someone deigns to differ, so I'd suggest that Liebau cut the faux victimhood and give us all a break.

You are absolutely correct about DailyKOS. I've had accounts there in the past and yes, they are vile, offensive and just plain nasty towards anyone that isn't in their camp. I'm a moderate. I'm a bit right of center and a Christian. They made it quite clear that I wasn't welcome there. They hate Christians with a passion. -Chuck
