Eight Year Olds, Nine Year Olds
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 10:11 PM
Yesterday, I posted about John Murtagh, the son of the New York state Supreme Court judge who was the victim of an assassination attempt by Bill Ayers' Weather Underground.

Murtagh appeared this morning on "Fox and Friends" (video here).

The next time Barack dismisses Ayers' terrorism with the airy observation that he was only eight years old at the time, keep in mind that John Murtagh was only nine years old when Bill Ayers and his fellow terrorists tried to fire bomb his house and set a car bomb for his father.

The Michelle Connection
Put bernadine's comment about the US being the greatest purveyor of violence around the world next to michelle o's now famouse statement about only now...for the first time...being proud of her country. michelle and bernadine worked together and pal'd around.

It explains so much.

The "eight yr. old" defense

is slight of hand and nothing more.

It just reeks of dishonesty when Senator Obama raises it in conversation.

Sen. Obama understands relevancy. He knows these answers have no tendency to prove or disprove any fact under examination.

It is reminiscent of the War Crimes apologists that cry out, it's not six million, it was three million and two million of them were gypsies.

It just makes the speaker more contemptible.

This and other Obama postures makes me wonder just how bright or discerning he is?

Did Sen. Obama join in study groups while a law student? Did he speak out in class? Ask questions, make comments?

One wonders really?

We want answers Barry! NOW!
John Murtagh is a better person than I am, because when I grew up I would have hunted that no good sonovabitch Ayers down, and lived happily ever after at the taxpayers expence.

I said I would not post any unacceptable language, but I couldn't help it here.

No one at TH is going to vote for Obama
So what is the point of these over-the-top "reports"? You guys didn't know about this until just now? How stupid do you think we are? The only people who are eating this up are the noseholders. But they were going to vote McCain all along. It is just chasing more and more people into the Barr camp.

See for yourselves;

All Ayers, All the Time
You guys had better get your fill of talking about Ayers tonight. Because I have a feeling that starting tomorrow it's going to be Troopergate and nothing but Troopergate for a week or more. The First Dude is going to do it for you.

Crank up the fear-mongering some more
Today, RCP polls reports that:

Virginia went from "toss up" to "leaning Obama".

West Virginia went from "leaning McCain" to "toss up".

Minnesota went from "solid Obama" to "leaning Obama".

Two out of three for Obama but all still favoring Obama.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mcca in/

It just seems like McCain never has a good day anymore. Maybe the reason that fear-mongering and race-baiting hasn't worked so far is because you need to do it with more feeling.

Or McCain is too creepy. The new GOP, lost conservatives but gained the 6% of Dems who are open racists and the 33% of Hillary lesbians who won't vote Obama. Is that a great party or what?
J writes: Thursday, October, 09, 2008 11:31 PM
Ummm...seriously?
I'm not seeing the relevance here, sorry.

I DO see a big fat fallacious argument!

Emotional Appeal. Something FoxNews and the blessed and devoted GOP are pretty good at.

It Must Be Worse Than I Thought
A major investigative report on the Alaska "Troopergate" scandal has just been released, and it clears Sarah Palin completely of any wrongdoing. It was released by the McCain/Palin Campaign Committee. Snicker.

You are right that no one who visits town hall is going to change their mind. But information like this could enable us to change the minds of uninformed voters.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to talk to a group of 20-somethings, who were Obama fans. They were open to more research after that discussion. Some of the things I brought up, they had never heard about, and were shocked!

These "kids" were my neighbors' children, and their friends. All of them voting age, but completely ignorant of the issues. I love the fact that they are receptive to me educating them!

There is no one coming to Townhall seeking information. Look at the sitemeter for Townhall. Traffic plummeted once McCain secured the nomination, big short-lived surge when Palin was picked for VP, back to slow again. TH has turned into a shrill echo chamber for the declining number of noseholders who are losing faith in their candidate. TH is just trying to hold things together. God forbid that would be forced to actually make a case for voting FOR McCain. Can't be done so let's just scare the crap out everyone as a desperate losing strategy.

This kind of "information" is typical dirty tricks politics that we always seem to find at the last minute of campaigns. And you are going to fall for it? Do you think they could have brought this out earlier when there was time for either side to refute allegations? It is all nonsense. The world economy is in free fall and both of these very lame candidates choose to engage in petty skullduggery. Lame. Don't buy it.

Sancho Panza
That's how WIll refers to Palin. Hahah.

Let us ask Sancho this: Do you know who REALLY "palled" around with Ayres? Republicans. Annenberg, a Republican supporter.

This is a fatal flaw in McPalin's losing campaign. Is there NO ONE with brains running the show here? What is wrong with you guys, anyhow?

Tomorrow, Palin's Troopergate is coming full circle. The goods are coming out about HER vindictive abuse of power. She's tried to beat the Prosecutor to the punch with her "own" report, but this only indicates a very scared McCain campaign. This could spell impeachment for the hockey mom with a vendetta. Nice, huh? Puts into perspective her attempts to paint Obama as the terrorist.

Odious. Abysmal. Mean. That's Palin/McCain.

Ayers
Didn't you folks get Mr Rove's memo? We're supposed to drop this subject, because it turns out there is not now, nor has there ever been, any evidence whatsoever that could possibly be construed to suggest, even to Rush Limbaugh’s drug-addled brain, that a United States Senator had any sort of link to terrorists.

We ended that back in the Reagan Administration, when Sen. McCain got caught up in Iran-Contra, remember?

So, just cool it, folks.
False alarm.
Nothing to it.
Just go about your business, good citizens.
American Sweetheart  writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 9:11 AM
The point of all this
Is not just poor judgement on Obama's part...but some of these people (like Rashid Khalidi) sought out Obama...

So what did THEY see in OBAMA that made them want to support his cause? People seek out others with similar agenda.

So what is Obama's similar agenda to the likes of Rashid Khalidi, Louis Farrahkan, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko. ACORN, Rev. Wright, Penny Pritzker (the list goes on)?

It's a two way street. Birds of a feather flock together and Obama is part of a flock of radicals.
