Biden Misrepresents McCain
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 12:11 PM
At a speech in Tampa today, Joe Biden said that during the second debate last night, McCain didn't say the words "middle class.”

Here's what Biden said today:

JOE BIDEN well, folks, speaking of obama, again in the debate last night what was most notable to me was what you didn't hear, what you couldn't hear. on the middle class, john mccain's silence was deafening again. you didn't hear john mention the words middle class one single time again after the second debate. more importantly, the questions from the people in that town hall last night i believe, personally believe reflected what a majority of the american people are looking for, a steady hand, leadership, an opt mist, not an angry man lurching from one position to another.

While this is technically true, McCain did say “middle-income” several times!:
SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, (R) PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE: I think you have to look at my record and you have to look at his. Then you have to look at our proposals for our economy. Not $860 billion in new spending, but for the kinds of reforms that keep people in their jobs, get middle income Americans working again and getting our economy moving again.

Then later,

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, (R) PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE: I've got some news, Senator Obama, the news is bad. So let's not raise anybody's taxes, my friends, and make it be very clear to you I am not in favor of tax cuts for the wealthy. I am in favor of leaving the tax rates alone and reducing the tax burden on middle-income Americans by doubling your tax exemption for every child from $3,500 to $7,000.

Then later,

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, (R) PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE: When he ran for the United States Senate from Illinois, he said he would have a middle-income tax cut. You know he came to the Senate and never once proposed legislation to do that? So let's look at our record. I've fought higher taxes. I have fought excess spending. I have fought to reform government.

Also, of interest, perhaps recalling Joe Biden’s offer to run on John McCain’s ticket, the opening speaker at Biden’s rally in Tampa today introduces “the next Vice President of the United States, John McCain.”

Class warfare
is easier to exploit, if you keep referring to the "middle class." Does that mean there is a high class and low class?

High income, middle income, and low income seems to be a lot easier to define.

They want McCain to take the bait
They want McCain on record as saying there is a class problem in this country and McCain isn't taking the bait. This is classic class warfare.

"Biden Misrepresents McCain

While this is technically true"

Another term for "technically true" is "true."

Compare that
to Palin accusing Obama of "palling" around with "terrorist" Ayers and you've got a veritable molehill, my friends.

Palin, queen of gutter politics, told her zombies a LIE, and even invoked the NYTimes as "proof". Sarah, like her twin in the WH, Bush, obviously doesn't do anything more than read headlines, otherwise she'd have known that the NYT described Obama and Ayers as anything but friends or pals. Of course, Palin's reputation for inciting violence against a candidate, and her ability to lie without remorse will live in infamy. Her 15 minutes will smell of chickensh!t - appropriately enough.

Please be definitive when you accuse someone of lying. Lewis explained Biden's lie.

Please tell us where you believe Governor Palin is lying.

Bob M. below states:

Another term for "technically true" is "true."

BHO has known Ayers since at least 1995 having been employed by Ayers to assist with distribution of money.

(If you are a volunteer, you are still considered an employee for OSHA purposes, etc)

Weikipedia states:

Obama served as president of the board of directors for the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a large education-related nonprofit organization that Ayers was instrumental in starting.[12] The board disbursed grants to schools and raised private matching funds while Ayers worked with the operational arm of the effort. Both attended some board meetings in common starting in 1995, retreats, and at least one news conference together as the education program started. They continued to attend meetings together during the 1995-2001 period when the program was operating. [12]

Say it isn't so Joe
Where is the Joe Biden that used to sit in his Senate seat and Grill anybody who came in front of Him? Where is that guy that believes in his Country? All I am seeing now is a Desperate man? Biden, Desperate? So desperate to be in the white house he would compromise his integrity? Why would Joe Support someone who is friends with known Terroists/Agitators? Yes, Ayers is a Terroist, he bombed within the United States and has no Regrets? Joe you remember somebody else who bombed the Pentagon? You remember his name don't you? Remember Osama? Remember that guy who has so much hate for our country he caused 9/11? Joe, Ayers, bombed the pentagon too! Joe you aren't stupid so please don't claim stupid now, when it comes to Obama's associations. Joe, I saw tears in your eyes during the vice presidental debate, you were choking back emotions. Joe, where are the tears and emotions for the people you knew well who were killed in New York, Our Pentagon, Do you ask for forgiveness from your maker for supporting someone who associates themselves with the same type of people who killed your friends? Say it isn't so Joe
I don't know this Desperate Joe
I don't know the Joe that supports Terror within our own Country?
Joe, you become who you associate with.
Don't let that happen!
