It's Not a Doll ... It's an "Action Figure"
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 11:37 AM
Sarah Palin doll

If having your own action figure is a good sign you've "made it," then clearly Sarah Palin is generating a lot of excitement.  (Now featuring "GI-Joe Kung-Fu grip"... Watch out Barbie!)

Where have I heard that? It's killing me that I can't remember. Matt, please tell me!

I hope McCain Palin win because:
1) I am a patriot and they are the better pick for the USA; and,

2) I will relish seeing their opponents do this after the election (the glimpse of the future curtesy of the ghost of election 2008 future):

r - wrong party
"Does it come with Nazi insignias that she can wear to the lynchings and burnings?"

- Last time I checked the only member of Congress who was member of the KKK is Senator Byrd of West Virginia who happens to be a Democrat.

Another fact you should realize those "religious morons" support less government and tax cuts. Notice most of the economic growth and job creation is occurring in the red states. While blue states like the north east and rust belt has been losing job through too much taxes and regulation.

lovely doll
LOVE THE DOLL. Does it come with nazi insignias that she can wear to the lynchings and burnings? I guess you people probably already have those in your closets- right next to your sheets.

This party disgusts me and my fellow conservatives who want real options not this empty pandering. The religious right has taken over my party and that makes me think bob barr is the only real answer for me.

that blows- thanks you religious morons

However, I have yet to hear one Democrat call for an end to pork barrel spending; while McCain is a one of the most vocal anti-pork spending senators in the country.]

Alright. You are right.

I will concede that one difference: the gang of Democratic thieves is honest and upfront. They want your money and will take it by force to spend on their favored interests in an effort to get re-elected and reap personal rewards.

The Republican gang of thieves will tell you they don't want to do this, and then go ahead and do it anyway.

But let's all assume that, hey, the GOP has seen the light and is really, truly repentant of letting the finances get this out of control on their last watch.

A cursory search online turns up that the earmarks were around 18 billion or so in fiscal 2008. Great. That's about 4 - 5% of the current year's 'official' budget deficit, which doesn't take into account emergency spending bills.

How else exactly is McCain (or Obama, for that matter) plan on covering the remaining 95% of the 'official' budget deficit? More bonds from the Asian or European Central banks? More dollars printed up at the Mint? Even more Enron-style government accounting to magically make the deficit disappear? Wish really hard and hope the economic genie will let us grow our way out?

I'll take McCain's fiscal conservatism seriously when he starts telling people that America has to balance its books and it's going to require some very favored interests to be very unhappy: farm, defense contractors, old folks, etc.

You like to insult people, call them unintelligent. But I have never seen you post anything of substance. Are you truely so full of hate and bile that you can't hold a civil discussion? Or are you simply using the anonimity of the internet to safely lash out at people and thereby stoke your deficient ego?

The two tickets are hardly the same. First of all McCain is the head of the Republican ticket. As for Sarah Palin, she is a fresh face, but unlike Obama she has real accomplishments. She made that pretty clear in her speech.

Sure there is corruption is both parties. However, I have yet to hear one Democrat call for an end to pork barrel spending; while McCain is a one of the most vocal anti-pork spending senators in the country.

As for whether or not the teleprompter broke, that is one person's story that it did not versus many that it had. Believe what you want to hear, however, I will point out we all know what happens to Obama when his teleprompter breaks, and it is not pretty.

[Not sure what your point is?]

I thought it was fairly obvious: that despite the high and mighty rhetoric, at the core, Republicans and Democrats are all the same.

That when they criticize one another for saying up is down or black is white, they are base hypocrites, who will be saying the exact opposite themselves the next week.

That the Republicans are just as likely to pin their hopes and dreams on an unknown fresh face simply because they think they might score some additional votes.

That the Republicans and Democrats have helped turn our political process and elections into a sick, cynical joke which won't change a bleeding thing in America, just the party affiliation that gets to dole out the favors and money to their preferred partisans.

[Also - FYI - the teleprompter broke during Sarah Palin speech!]

Not according to at least one person who was there:

Not sure what your point is? One of the reason's Sarah Palin's speech was such a success was she laid it out in plain English that her and John McCain's accomplishments dwarf those of Obama and Biden. The liberals and media tried to rip Sarah Palin for being the mayor of a small town and a governor of a state of just 600k people. What they learned was Sarah Palin has done more in two years as governor and a mayor than Barak Obama ever did. The key line being he wrote two memoirs before writing a single piece of legislation. While Palin has not written a memoir, however she is the most popular governor in the country. Every attack on Sarah Palin has backfired. Yet the liberals continue to attempt to attack her and they keep failing.

Also - FYI - the teleprompter broke during Sarah Palin speech!
Dread writes: Monday, September, 08, 2008 12:50 PM
Seriously...
Was it not just a month ago that the GOP was running ads decrying Obama's celebrity for 'not doing anything'?

Or was the message that the GOP was trying to send was: "Hey, America, if you think Obama's just a pretty, but empty suit who speaks well from a teleprompter just wait till you get a load of what we've got coming..."

The sheer cynicism of this campaign is overwhelming.

The Wreck of the Barack Obama
The legend lives on from the Gray Lady on down
To the network they call “Fair and Balanced.”
The MSNBC, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of September turn gloomy.

With a load of delegates - 2,500 or more
Than the Barack Obama weighed empty
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of November came early

The ship was the pride of the Democrat side
Rising out of the machine in Chicago
As big ships go it beat out Team Hillary so
With a campaign and the Veep well seasoned.

Concluding some terms with a couple of special interest groups
When they left fully loaded for Cleveland
And later that night when the ships bell rang
McCain announced Sarah Palin.

The Kos and the Dish made a tattletale sound
Claiming that McCain was insane
First it was Trig, and then it was Bristol,
This would finish the old man off early.

Gustav came late and the GOP convention to wait
And bets were being taken when she would drop out
But when the Governor spoke to the assembled folk
The Dems were in the face of a hurricane Palin

When supper time came the old Veep came on deck
Saying I hear that life starts at conception
At 7PM and Intrade caved in
Biden said fellas it's been good to know ya.

Then Captain hit a shoal called "New Pennsylvania"
And the Dem ship and crew was in peril
And later that night when Mac’s polls went out of sight
Came the wreck of the Barack Obama.
