Is reverse racism/sexism keeping John Edwards down in the Democrat Party?
According to this article, Elizabeth Edwards thinks her husband gets less PR because he's a white man:
"... We can't make John black, we can't make him a woman. Those things get you a lot of press, worth a certain amount of fundraising dollars. Now it's nice to get on the news, but not the be all and end all."
Is she implying that Obama and Hillary are ahead of Edwards in the polls because they are minorities?
Now just imagine if a GOP spouse (say, Ann Romney, Jeri Thompson or Judith Giuliani) said this ...
Perhaps Mr. Edwards should rent this old movie ...

Mrs. Edwards is obviously John's most ardent supporter, but she is not only talking people out of supporting him for president, she is talking the other candidates out of giving him a second VP nod. Looks like he will have to go back to lawyering. |

Make him a woman, that is. Sure, it takes a few years and some very painful operations, but as some have noted above, John's not to far from acting the part already (although he DID break his wife's rib in bed...)
If Edwards thinks that Obama and Hillary are getting all the press for being black and female, respectively, just think how gaga the nutroots would go over a transgender candidate! Why, all the free press would practically pay for the surgeries outright... |

Said he isn't geting play for being male, not the right. Besides, isn't this what the left has pushed for? It's just affirmative action, Mrs. Edwards and the Breckgirl need to live with monster they helped create. Actually I think he doesn't get as much traction because he doesn't generate the excitement that Obama and the Red Queen do. They all have the same warmed over, failed socialist views, there is no difference in any of them. |

he's not black, but he is a lot more feminine than Hillary will ever be. Don't give up on the ambulance chaser so quick, Liz. Have him start attending NOW meetings and going to the Dress Barn. I'm sure he already has more lotions and hairspray than Elizabeth as it is. |
