Is Fred our Obama?
Posted by: Jonathan Garthwaite at 6:50 PM

Two-thirds of the way through this Ann Coulter/Good Morning America clip, Ann gives her take on the FredHeads.

"I think [Fred Thompson's] kind of our Obama. Which is to say it just show how unhappy we are with McCain, Giuliani and Romney that Thompson steps in -- people know very little about him -- and oh he's our guy. And it's sort of like that with Obama. That the Democrats aren't happy with their leading candidate -- Hillary -- so they gravitate to Obama knowing nothing about him and him being -- you know -- 14 years old."

Fred
I think it says more about Romney, Guiliani and McCain than it does about anything else. But we all know how this is going to play out. Democrats are going to tack left for the primaries, Republicans will tack right. Then there will be almost no difference again during the General Election as they all run for the middle, and we'll all be duped again. Call me cynical, but it seems to be the way things go lately. These guys are all clearly playing that game.

Ann Coulter is right
He is our Obama - without the charisma. Sorry folks, I know that this is supposed to be one of his strengths, and it works for him as an actor, but not as a presidential candidate. He looks and sounds pretty old and lacks the energy and enthusiasm of Guilliani or Romney. Reagan was old, but he was filled with passion about his ideals. So far, Fred is a disappointment and I doubt if he's going to be able to pull it off. There needs to be something more to him than just the fact that he's not mormon.

Fred's Our Obama? Not!
Freddie's lead in the polls even as an undeclared candidate does not mean conservatives are "unhappy" with the other three front runners. People who want him to run are in love with an actor, not a leader.

McCain's increasing unpopularity is understandable; everyone but him knows he's done. If not for 9/11, Rudy would not be one of the top three candidates. Think about that. Romney on the hand is a truly proven leader. He has everything going for him, except bigots who don't like him because he's a Mormon.

Yep
It says more about the bandwagon "Fred Heads" than it does about Fred. It's sad that our party can be as stupid as the Democrats, but there it is.

He looks like a leader, he says some things about Michael Moore, he isn't Mormon - make him President!
