HUH?

"Obama To Scrap Bush Faith-Based Office"  (Mike Allen, Politico, today).

"Obama to Expand Bush Faith Based Programs" (Jennifer Loven, AP, today).

Yup, he's a man for all seasons and all reasons. Is he for expanding the programs after he scraps the office, or for scrapping the office before expanding the programs?  And is anyone else confused by all this?

Not ready for prime time . . .

Neo kommies delight...
...in their candidates' flip flops. They view this as "politics as usual". They expect their candidates will do and say anything to WIN. Power "uber alles" is their ultimate goal. Throw in some corruption, some blatant anti Americanism, and the neo kommies perceive an awesome candidate. Throw in corruption, sex scandals and a little murder or two, and you have their perfect candidate.

Carol, Carol
As much as I appreciate your insight, you got this one wrong. The Politico article, in spite of the dubious headline, actually tells us that Obama will be setting up his own bigger, better, more expansive office of faith-based initiatives after dismantling the one Bush created. (Apparently he can't build on and improve what Bush set up, as...everything Bush touched must be torn out and discarded, if not burned, lest the infestation spread? I dunno.) And Obama manages gets this one right. I'm kinda looking forward to the Obamaniacs tout and defend his policy after many of them attacked Bush and screamed "THEOCRACY!" when Bush set up a less ambitious version.

Not Confused
Obama is moving towards the center, and at breakneck speed since he was pandering so far to the left out of democrat primary necessity.

Confusing statements? Yes. But the politics are clear, and shouldn't suprise anyone.

The only suprise is that Barack Obama has turned out to be an even bigger phoney than anyone could have ever predicted.

Semantics
If you THers keep calling Obama a leftist as he moves more and more to the center, the word "leftist" will take on a positive connotation to many of the same folks you need to scare just to make a living. Now that would be some irony.

Typical Democrat
"I was for the Faith-Based program... before I was against it."

One of Obama's many problems is that he can't come up with is own "isms". He even takes those from other political hacks.

Delightful!
Just because Politico yet again gets the story wrong is somehow a reflection on Obama?

You people are so desperate to see Obama slip up that you'll take ANY bait.

Delightful to watch you Neo-Con freaks reaching for every staw.
