GOP apparently needs to "dumb down"
Obama can claim his stealth Presidency as the being elected by the dumbest voters that ever stepped in to the voting booth.

He was helped by the leftist media and the constant propaganda and lies that they fed the voters.

If the GOP is to win, they have to follow the same plan. Use the Saul Alynski Rules for Radicals of appealing to the middle class. Lie constantly about your opposition. Flood the air waves with lies. Make the leftist media struggle to refute the lies.

The dumb voters will believe what they hear the most, even if it is constant lies.

WHY Republicans lost, they're the idiot
Gee they are dumb, must all be McCain voters...LOL

Go into a heavy red state area; asked basic civics questions, they would go daaaaaaa! (and add I'm not voting for that commie terrorist!)

Obama is sharp, an inspirational leader, getting people involved in politics. IS THAT BAD?

The WORLD is really excited about Obama as the new President of the USA. WHY? BUSH.

Stop whining and crying. Republicans lost because Obama is SMART and a better leader than McCain, who was erratic and all "Mavricky". Palin? Are you KIDDING, what a dullard, could not name ANY supreme court cases, reading to say current or basic geography (& plus all the nonsensical mad lib words).

The difference is these people in the video are NOT running for VP.

Here is the other reason McCain lost - BUSH, CHENEY, RUMSFELD, WOLFOWITZ, GONZALEZ, MYERS, LIBBY, IRAQ, KATRINA, ATTORNY FIRING GATE, PLAME GATE, WIRE TAP GATE, ABU GHRAIB GATE, GITMO and this cast of republican fun bags:

Randy Cunningham, convicted of accepting $1.3 million in bribes. JAIL

Bob Ney, plead guilty to accepting bribes. JAIL

Tom DeLay, indicted on charges of money laundering.

Scooter Libby, convicted of perjury, obstruction of justice, and lying to the FBI. (Should be in JAIL)

J. Steven Griles, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice.

Mark Foley, sex involving a 16-year-old male page.

Bill Frist, maintained additional stock holdings outside of his blind trust, creating a conflict of interest.

Curt Weldon, trading political influence for lobbying contracts for his daughter.

Dennis Hastert, cover up of Mark Foley, Jack Abramoff, prairie highway project pork (though his property, a two for!)

TED STEVENS R-AK Convicted felon x 7

DON YOUNG (R-AK) Senator and record holder for the most pork WON RE ELECTION? WHY?

stop the youth vote
people under the age of 25 should not be allowed to VOTE. lets face it, all of us at that age beleived we knew EVERYTHING when in fact we knew NOTHING. turns out our parents were right. idealism trumps realism at that age.

the only thing men & women under the age of 25 should be able to do is join the military. its the only institution where youth and inexperience is a virtue.

Bennett - Fact Check
Point One: The "Greatest Generation" was not the "baby boomers", it was the parents of the baby boomers. That generation was credited with enduring the depression and winning WWII.

Point Two: The first "baby boomer" to collect social security was born in 1945 and only started to collect it last year. Don't blame boomers for the soaring cost, it was their parents who started that system.

Point Three: There was a much higher percentage of technical field graduates (physics, chemistry, engineering) in 1963-68 than in 2003-08. "Boomers" had SAT scores 100 points higher than today's high school graduates and took a much harder test. About 20 years ago the test was "dumbed down" to match the skill level of high school graduates. On the subject of differential equations, boomers solved them by hand, there were few computers in the late 60's and early 70's.

Point Four: Next time you decide to take us to task find some facts on which to base your case. A class in logic might be helpful too (logic classes were part of the core curriculum when I was in college).
Bennett writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 11:56 PM
The Youth Rock
Want to make it a generation issue?

The biggest "welfare" generation is, in fact, the so-called "greatest" generation. The Baby Boomers are the ones clinging to Social Security and Medicare and screwing everybody over with those ponzi schemes.

Say what you will about first time voters, but the Millennials are the least prejudiced out there. Race didn't even factor into their decision. Studies show we *don't even notice* race.

Dumbest generation? Last time I checked older generations weren't growing up with computers. My Uncle tells me to name state capitals, I can't do it. Fine. Then I tell HIM to solve a differential equation or program a webpage (you know, things that are actually USEFUL in today's economy).

Bottom line is, the youth are the only people NOT voting out of selfishness. They're not voting to save their retirement plans, or unions, or Social Security, or health care... the youth are the LEAST bias voters.

Good points continued
And, BO was elected because people quite frankly did not care what he stood for. This video proved it.
Barbara writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 11:49 PM
Many Good Points Here
Several factors resulted in the election of BO, which was guaranteed by the media.

1. The media picked McCain for the Republicans, remember? His campaign was all but dead until the media finished picking off the other candidates. Suddenly McCain was dubbed the "come back kid." What did he do? Nothing. The media brought him back to life.

2. BO was and never has been taken to task by the media for anything. He was packaged and sold like a pop star. Clueless people got caught up in the wave and voted for the guy being sold as the sure winner.

3. The democrat machine turned out the votes, with the help of ACORN and voter fraud. Their efforts paid off, too, because the margin of victory was significant enough that no one would seriously bother to challenge the validity of the vote. It was a very well orchestrated strategy. People follow like sheep, even over a cliff.

4. This election saw a record number of black voters. That's a given.

5. Labor Unions, which back liberal candidates and have a lot of political power. A daughter worked for a chain grocery store, which is unionized and sent out pro BO newsletters.

6. White guilt. BO used "racism" (his own) to tap into American white guilt. White Americans voted for BO to prove they are not "racist." The real racists accuse others of racism when they do not get what they want.

BO is where he is because of the media. Do you think the media is going to turn on him during his first term in office? NO, they are not! The same way the media protected the Clintons, they will protect BO. The media turned the American people against Bush to ensure the 2008 democrat victories. The media will not touch BO because he is black. Chris Matthews, MSMBC, said it is his "job" to see to it "this president is successful." He had no problem seeing to Bush was cast as failure and hated.

Bizarre
Notice they never asked about Rev. Wright. The media never talked about that. Ever.

I mean really. This is just more negative spin to avoid looking in the mirror at why McCain lost. The media was just as liberal four years ago when Bush won re-election.

It wasn't the media, it was McCain's lousy campaign.

The people questioned..
in those interviews are uninformed and they don't care that they are........
the youngest ones get their "news" from VH1, MTV, Comedy Central and SNL.....
the older ones get theirs from MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, LA Times, and my neighborhood newspaper.....The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation (Journal and Constitution)...
What did you expect?????

The people interviewed in this poll, sadly, are typical of a large(and getting larger) majority of people in our country today. They are hypnotized by a magnetic, celebrity type personality that blinds them to actual facts about that person. It makes me wonder just how far Obama will be able to push his agenda of socialism and nanny state over-reaching government intrusion. My fear is he could do more damage to the United States than LBJ did, possibly even more than FDR.
miss vicky writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 9:41 PM
Perceptor very perceptive.The Teflon 'O'
The 'Primary' was unrealistic and favored Obama and we all know the rest of the story! With the hatred for Bush etc., the questionable, un-accounted for campaign funds which helped Obama buy the White House, the unprofessional, one-sided 'media' bias coverage helping the Novice
'O' along with fraudulent voting, promoted by Acorn supporters etc., what else could we expect! It didn't help when the uninformed, naive, immature Youth voted for the celebrity and 95% blacks voted for their race, regardless if Obama was ill prepared! Buyers remorse is pending! What a way to win the most important job in the free world! Ex Democrat
Perceptor II writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 9:15 PM
It's a fascinating look at the "facts"
If the media had covered things differently, would it have made a difference? If the public knew that Palin had actually made a cogent point about Alaskans being so close to Russia that they'd be more aware that they really do share the same world than would people in the lower 48. And Obama really did once say that there were more than 57 states, and that Arkansas is closer to Kentucky than Illinois (go look that one up on a map). Change what statements we choose to emphasize, and suddenly it's McCain and Palin who look like the serious candidates and Obama and Biden who look like fools.

Though it wasn't just the media. After Bush, the American public was desperate to go the other way and choose the Democrat. Unfortunately, we're about to learn just how desperate they were, as Obama is assembling an administration made up of Washington insiders and products of the same crooked Richard Daley political machine which he came from.

Anne writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 8:56 PM
Bennett: But that wasn't the issue...

or the point...

The point was, these people were CLUELESS, and typical of too many voters!..

During the campaign, some interviewer asked several people (on the street) if they were going to vote for Obama, but listed McCain's agenda points.... or... McCain, and listed Obama's agenda points.

To a person they said, "Obama" because they liked his agenda, which were actually McCain's.

I knew then we were in very, very, very big trouble.

However, we shouldn't have been all that surprised since the LeftStreamMedia was, for all purposes, Obama's PR dept.

Bennett writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 8:26 PM
Anne
Yeah, I agree with you. But was John McCain really the best choice? Was he even a good choice? Was he just "not as bad" as Obama but still bad?

I don't think informed voters had any good options available to them this election. That's the real travesty.

Plus a heck of a lot of informed people voted in the Republican primary and we still got who we got. You know?

The "free market" media. Oh boy, that's an interesting segue. What other kind should there be? The kind brought to us by the Fairness Doctrine? The glamor attraction of mainstream media communications appeals mostly to liberal-minded people, it seems. Conservatives must be too busy working at real jobs. I have a daughter who is a rare exception to that rule, and is making her mark. How long she can abide with all she has to put up with -- shading her eyes from the illuminati glow of bleeding-heart "changers" and "hopers" I can't say. Maybe we need a whole herd of young folks like her. Problem is, where are they going to come from? Liberal colleges and universities, which tends to taint the pool.

The youth are the future - huh?
The young people on this video, and in universities where I come across many of them, are completely uninformed about our government and the need to research issues and be an informed voter. Most of them vote the way the media tells them to vote. Isn't it scary to think when we are old (I am 40), these young people who voted for skin deep change will be in charge of our country???? The Blessing of Obama is that his failed policies (no pun intended) will serve to make the youth think more about real change that happens when americans focus on changing government instead of asking government to change/improve their lives. I do think it will be too late to change the paradigm of ignorance as more young people become indoctrinated with relativity in the social arena and political correctness that makes it impossible to have an honest conversation about bad ideas propagated by a black president.
Bennett writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 6:45 PM
Not Unbelievable
If you just step back and honestly appraise the situation, isn't it understandable Obama won?

He ran a mature campaign, stood for a few issues, and inspired some folks in a bad time economically. McCain was all over the place, randomly threw out bailout package ideas that scared people left and right, and acted like a relic.

I'm not a fan of Obama, but even without the media or ignorant voters, you've got to honestly admit you understand how he won. And it would've been a landslide but for Palin, who was the saving grace of the ticket.

Plus the guy who did this documentary was on H&C last night and he was obnoxiously partisan. Don't take this too seriously.
Stoic Patriot writes: Tuesday, November, 18, 2008 6:28 PM
Welcome to the Media
This is what happens when one political wing gets complete control of the media. All damaging information will be revealed about the wing not in control, while all efforts will be made to cover for that wing which does control the media.

Might I point out to the economic conservatives that this is what the "free market" of media has produced.

Truth
The blacks in this poll I will give a pass to simply because of what it has meant to all of black Americans to have a black man become president of the U.S.A. It has inspired and for that I am grateful.

The others simply wanted to join the crowd - something new and something they thought was special and someone who said he would bring change - it did not matter what kind of change - just change.

What does matter is that TRUTH will make the difference in the long run - it will come out because lies always catch up to the one(s) who are lying - sooner or later.

Then the house of cards comes tumbling down never to be put together again - the MSM which did not do it's job of honestly informing the voting public about both sides of all of the issues and candidates will die a slow but well deserved death.

I'm not defending the people in this video, but I think it's a stretch to say that it's isolated to this group.

Sadly one could probably stop by any polling place in the country and get a similar result.

I don't see anything here though to suggest that these results have anything to do with the candidate the people support.
