I guess they were so relieved McCaindid't win they most likely decided to award it to him then by nature of slaying the conservative neocon dragon and trying to return the world to some degree of sanity-of course the far right shills will not see it that way which is just further commitment to their new anti-american stance. A nobel for Obama is not a good senario for them and the snark and bile is already spilling out.

Awards for intentions, that have no basis in the real world, end up doing damage in the end. Of Course there is such a great history, rich tradition to the Nobel preace prize. The committee is above politics, they are above snobbery. All they are saying, is give peace a chance.
If the history of the last president to win this award is any indication, of any future trouble, it will be any thing but peace. Axe man is infatuated with Carter's foreign policy, a policy that gave rise and expansion of the suicide bomber.
The lefties of the world sure do love to give themselves awards. They are as bad as the Hollywood crowd, giving themselves awards for everything they do. But in the end reality must be based on a good fiscal policy, domestically and abroad, which he doesn't have. TR and Wilson got it at the end of their admins. I believe TR got it for mediating end of Russo-Japanese War. This could have been a huge victory for Obama in say 2012. No, my far right head is not popping with "anger" rather amazement and strangely enough "sympathy". I believe this Admin is sliding into serious military escalation in South Asia,probable confrontation with Iran, etc. He very well may end up as unpopular by 2012 as Bush.Does anyone really believe he'll change one acre in the Israeli-Palestine clutch ? Is this an albatross or a medal they're hanging on the poor guy's neck? This is a medal I think most people would agree is about the Committee's high expectations more than Obama's actual accomplishments;for the next three years I bet it grows heavier about his neck. |
