Biden Booed By Philly Eagles Fans
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 9:40 PM
Ok, who is watching Sunday night football?

I'm in a hotel room in Indianapolis and can't figure out how to work my TV (seriously), but I heard Joe Biden was BOOED by Philadelphia Eagles fans on NBC's Sunday night football.

Can any of our football-watching commentors confirm?

Update: Yup.

AP: Eli Manning threw two TD passes and John Carney kicked two field goals to give the NFC East-leading New York Giants a 20-17 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles at halftime on Sunday night.

Trying to slice a game off New York’s lead, Philadelphia scored two touchdowns off Giants’ turnovers. Donovan McNabb threw a TD pass and lined up as a wideout on a trick play score that gave the Eagles their first touchdown. David Akers kicked a 29-yard field goal as the first half expired to make it 20-17.

The Giants and Eagles played in front of a special guest. Vice President-elect Joe Biden watched the game in a luxury suite with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie. Biden was booed when he was showed on the video screen.

I understand, however, that the Eagles have also booed Santa Claus in the past. They even pelted him with a few snowballs.

Agreed! Biden Booed in Philly
you could tell by the look on Biden's face that HE KNEW THEY WERE BOOING HIM. He had to work a fake smile on his face to pretend "they must have been booing someone/something else". It became apparent quickly that he was the "object" at the moment and he knew it.

I was at the game, freezing in section 233- Biden was booed. I mean, I know its hard for some of the left wing trolls on here to understand, but he was booed. Jeff Lurie was took a stand in this election and got boo'd just like Ed Snider did with Sarah Palin- get over it libs.

Biden Booed
I'd assume that 44% of the crowd was McCain supporters; that's the percent of the popular vote he got in Pennsylvania. 44% of a large crowd can set up a pretty good boo.

Of course we'll be reviewing videos of the crowd and correlating them with the seat sales database to find out who it was. We have the technology.

Booing Biden
Considering his track record, it will not be the last time. With all of the talk of "new" departments, I think that we will be seeing a Secretary of Apologia to "explain" Biden's gaffes and smooth over hard feelings.

Further, with all of the promises made by Obama that can't possibly be met due to budgetary constraints, the new Secretary will be the most overworked politician in DC.

BETTER GET USED TO IT BIDEN
Better get used to it obama & biden. A good chuck of America does not recognize you as their President or Vice President...inasmuch as you stole the election.

Did you really think you could stuff ballot boxes all across America, have military ballots disqualified, accept fraudalent credit cards, intimidate average citizens, yet be considered a legitimate president?

obama & biden ...you are not simply disliked by many ... you are despised. We will have no quarter with someone that lied, cheated, stole and bullied their way into the white house. We will have no quarter with people that espouse Marxists ideals.

While we are presently being lectured that we should make nice and all get along, that simply is NOT going to happen. These Marxist, in their own words, describe the constitution as a "fundamentally flawed document." In addition, we will NEVER accept a president that sat in a church for 20 YEARS with a "preacher" that calls America "the US of KKK" and "God damn America."

In short (stand-up chuck) biden, you just got your first taste of the kind of respect you will be getting from the non-Kool-Aid drinkers. The people that could see past your bilge, and the bilge the media was spewing.

We are going to give you two the same respect you gave our president & vice-president. None, zero, nadda.

Not Booed
For those of us actually following the play on the field, the fans were booing the referees. They had just made another bad call. As much as I dislike Joey "The Parrot" Biden, it was not for him. If you watched the people in the box, Jeff Lurie, the Eagles owner, leaned over and told Joe that it would look like this on TV- that Biden was being razzed. Then Lurie's visage read- "here we go again, Eagle's fans unfairly indicted". Stick to politics, Amanda, football demands constant attention.

In addition, Bush did not STUFF THE BALLOT BOXES ALL ACROSS AMERICA LIKE obama DID! Nor did Bush have military ballots disqualified like obama did.

Obama Approval
Yes, Mr. Munck, I will agree that Bush's approval rating are in the toilet. Recall that Palin had high approval ratings when she was selected as the VP pick, and then her ratings went down as the MSM made up news and piled on the hate.

That said, what do you think Bush's rating would be had he gotten Obama-like treatment from the media for 8+ years? We already know how he was treated. Bush had to put up with 8+ years of treatment that Palin only got for 68 days. Yes, the Media ( and europe ) already hated Bush, and that was before he BEAT Gore.

So, in conclusion, I'll admit that Obama is a very intelligent person, but not even he would have good approval numbers if the Media decided that they don't like him, and go negative on him. It's all about perception. For the most part, the majority of American's, and the world, can only base their opinions on what they're told by the Meidia.

Obama is not even the president yet, and he hasn't done anything. It's amazing you equate a "70 percent approval rating" for him to Reagan and JFK. Are you really that hungry for him to be embraced by the public?

Obama did not win in a landslide - at least not of the popular vote - and considering how much pro-media coverage he had (and how the media never did their jobs in covering and vetting him), that is pretty pathetic.

You should check your facts about one other thing - JFK had high approval ratings AFTER he was assassinated, not before. While I feel terrible that he was cut down in the prime of life, he was not a particularly good or effective president. Are you saying we can expect pretty much the same from Obama? Flash and not a lot of substance? That's pretty much what I've seen so far.

Let me be specific...
just so no one else misintreprets my comments. It is obvious Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher have serious mental and personal problems that have nothing to do with politics, I noticed this long before the election and their lives bear that out, neither one is capable of maintaining healthy emotional relationships, either. I do not think that about other Democratic news pundits, like Chris Matthews, Alan Colmes or Anderson Cooper, for example.

I am also aware of how many people are on drugs for mental health issues in this country. Some of them are being helped and some belong in hospitals, but we don't have enough room. There was an excellent report on CNN about this, but it's nothing new. I don't think TV stations should be hiring them, just because they shoot off at the mouth and are offensive to people. That is not helpful or interesting.

don't believe it's flawed and we intend to keep it from being FLAWED by people who are ashamed of our Country.
People have faced you down regarding the theft of the vote, ballot stuffing, intimidation, and
the most insulting of all, tossing the military vote OUT! And I bet those tossed were NOT for
your master. You have no confidence in your
politics that you must cheat, lie and steal and swindler elderly people into signing absentee ballots not knowing what they signed. (Happened out here). So be smug for now, but when one is up this high by doing nothing and only a week after winning..he's going down, media won't save him. Why hide the Birth Certificate if he
were legit, and no matter what SCOTUS decides,
it's too little too late. He's gonna have that cloud throughout because there will always be
the suspicion that even one that's presented as legit..is it really? If so, why was it sealed.

"They never showed Pres. Bush an iota of respect or recognition"

Bush had a 92% approval rating right after 9/11. He got everything he asked for from both the Republicans and Democrats in Congress: funding for two wars, the PATRIOT Act, Homeland Security, etc. Are you too young to remember that?

So true Justme
Just me writes:

"...voting and going rah rah reee.....for the big D and many don't have a clue what these two actually stand for.......

A sad testiment to the overall mentality of so many in this country...

Completely dumbed down and emotionall stuck on thirteen."

You are so correct...the majority of B.O. voters have absolutely no clue what they have done. Oh, they think they know.

But they have no clue...as evidenced by the remarks of an B.O. supporter on YouTube. "....now I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car or paying my mortgage."

Just wait until they get their beloved "universal health care"...oh yeah...this is going to by interesting.

Just wait when they are told they are not going to get certain treatments because they do not meet the "government's standards" for being treated, or their chemo for cancer will start in 6 months, or they will not be getting that heart bypass or transplant, or cancer treatment because you they are 70 and the government doesn't feel they are worth treating.

Look at universal health care in other countries. That is what happens there...just look it up.

While there are problems with U.S. healthcare, the vast vast majority of people do receive treatment, and if they have problems with their insurance there are avenues for redress. Let's see what happens when they find out there is NO redress when their beloved savior (the government) turns down their treatment.

Any one of us could have had a 92% approval rating after 9/11. Everyone was in shock, and in the chaos, Democrats briefly felt some sense of loyalty to their nation. What did it take -- two or three weeks, maybe? -- before they reverted back to blaming the U.S. government for everything, including the attacks themselves. Bush may have gotten what he wanted from Congress, but the same politicians who voted for the items you mentioned frequently and publicly bad-mouthed the President at every possible turn to appease their soon-to-be-war-weary constituents. Gutless.

I was there
Sat in section 131. The fans were booing a play or a call I'm not sure which, when the image of Joe Biden AND Jeffrey Lurie (the somewhat disliked owner of the Eagles) appeared on the sideline screens. The booing definitely picked up a notch at that time, no question.
While I believe some of it was directed at Biden some most certainly was sent Luries' way.
But I have no doubt that the loudest booers were those who hated both of them. One guy was moved to point and curse both of them rather creatively.
I didn't think any of those suggestions were anatomically possible. That's my take.
