Barack Obama tonight:

From a news account today:
Putin made the nuclear offer after Russia this week delayed talks with the United States and other powers on fears Iran is developing nuclear weapons, concerns critics say have been exacerbated by civilian nuclear technology provided by Moscow. (emphasis added).
If Russia has an interest in preventing Iran from having nukes, it's obviously news . . . to Russia.

It says civilian contributions.... not government. Must be a McCain supporter and not too interested in facts or getting it right.

Someone, anyone, please help alleviate my apparent ignorance ... when did the American Taxayer become responsible for financial aid to "investors abroad"? i.e., foreign investors and/or governments in our "free markets"? It is clear that our "free markets" are more open than our borders! This supposed bailout is not only aimed at American homeowners and/or American businesses, nor the idiocy of some American financial institutions, it is aimed at saving the asses of entities from around the globe that are not even Americans! - these are parties that for whatever reason, decided to invest in our "financial markets". How or why on God's green earth are we to be responsible for the forced "global economy" that we have now been quietly thrown into? I have never seen a referendum or opinion poll for which I have had an opportunity to vote on for any of the issues in our now globalized economy - this is yet another matter being thrust upon the American Taxpayer without any input from those who are paying the taxes - the last time I read the Constitution, which hasn't changed much, the federal government is not to be involved in the private sector of financial matters which are not related to the federal government! The hard working, law abiding, tax paying, community active legal citizens of America, are now responsible for saving the globe from the obvious corruption and manipulation of our financial markets? NO BAILOUT - LET ALL ENTITIES INVOLVED CRASH AND BURN, LET IT ALL FALL, ADDRESS THOSE RESPONSIBLE AND START ANEW - REBUILD SO EVERYTHING IS SET UP TO PREVENT THIS FROM EVER HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE!!!!!! |

I thought McCain held back on the economy. It would have been easy for McCain to blast Obama, Dodd and Frank on Freddie and Fannie. Why didn’t he?
Because Country First. A deal needs to be made. This weekend. Such an attack would not help.

No More Golden Parachutes for Disgraced CEOs! Except for Those Who Contribute to Schumer and Obama...
For all the chest-pounding by Washington politicians, especially Democrats, about CEOs of failed banks and financial institutions receiving "golden parachutes," why is it these guys all tend to be big bucks Democrat contributors?
Can you say hypocrisy, boys and girls? It's bad enough Barack Obama has the audacity to do this while he's pals with Franklin Raines, who walked away from Fannie Mae with $90 million, but now comes news that the CEO of the failed Washington Mutual bank, Alan Fishman, may walk off with a $13 million package.

Because He's Black
This older white guy asked his older black friend, 'Are you voting for Barack Obama just because he's black'? So the older black guy fires back and says, 'Are you not voting for him because he's black? Why can't I vote for him just cause he's black? Hell in this country men are pulled over everyday just cause they are black, passed over for promotions just cause they are black, considered to be criminals just cause they are black, but you don't seem to have a problem with that. This country was built with the sweat and whip off the slaves back, and now a descendent of those same slaves has a chance to lead the same country where we wasn't even considered to be people, Where we weren't allowed to be educated, drink from the same water fountains, eat in the same restaurants, or even vote, so you damn right I'm going to vote for him!
Not just because he's black, But because he is hope, he is change, and he now allows me to understand when my grandson says he wants to be president when he grows up, it is not a fairy tale but a short term goal, Because he sees, understand, and knows, he can achieve, withstand, and do anything just because he's black!
And pass it on..... JUST BECAUSE
