Jonah Goldberg filed his weekly column in the form of an advice letter to Sarah Palin, ending
"Stay home and do your job and your homework. You'll still be a national figure come the primaries. But if you can't surprise your detractors with your grasp of policy when you re-emerge on the national stage, you won't win the nomination. More important, you won't deserve to." Fair advice. He received a lot of critical email - along with positive ones too -- and responded to several in the Corner around Noon, ending his post with
"One last thing: It's a holiday weekend. I don't plan on posting Palin-related e-mail all weekend. Feel free to send your thoughts, but I don't expect to run a Palin seminar all weekend." I guess Palin had other plans in mind for his 4th of July.

I heard tis guy speak on a few programs I wonder if its the real thing http://www.trendsresearch.com/ |

She's not. She's still a'working as Guv. So much for that IMMEDIATE resignation!
Friends working on houses. Well, if that turns out to be the scandal, Bob, I will join you in shocked outrage!
After all, I am from Barry's state. We don't put up with that sort of corruption, here! Ask Rahm, Barry, Michey, Axelrod, Blago, Burris and (to be bipartisan) LaHood. ;) |
|
"If THAT'S the scandal, Bob, well, it pales next to the Barry/ Michey/ Rezko mortgage deal"
Apparently not. Obama is President of the United States and Palin is unemployed.
Remember, Ted Stevens was brought down by "friends" working on his house for free. |

If THAT'S the scandal, Bob, well, it pales next to the Barry/ Michey/ Rezko mortgage deal on that grand old mansion and adjoining lot in Chi...LOL |
|
"Of course it's possible it's not a scandal..."
The sum and substance of a third rate jerk. |

It's clear that one of the many ethics investigations has caught up with her and has forced her to resign. (My money's on the construction of her house by "friends" who were also bidding on and constructing the Wasilla sports complex.) She's agreed to resign immediately to keep it from coming out, but of course those things always do come out.
Note, too, that she chose to do it in the biggest "trash time" of the year: not only late on a Friday, but the Friday before the Fourth of July, in the middle of a three-day weekend. The news conference was so hastily called that only a few reporters got there in time. Is that the way someone with long-term plans to move up the political ladder would do it?
Of course it's possible it's not a scandal but just an incredibly inept political move, but I think we've seen the last of Caribou Barbie. Her next political office will be Wasilla Dogcatcher. |

As I and others have said, the RINO's and the political class believe Palin MUST be destroyed! She is not a Washington insider and the Washington - Boston corridor elitist have no markers to call on her, in their view she is dangerous! |

Funny how the non-Reagan "conservatives" have all been hitting Palin within the last few days. Jonah Goldberg, Charles Krauthammer, and Steve Schmidt. I guess they saw Palin's great poll numbers last week and decided to try and take her out. No Mr. Goldberg you are irrelevnt to the GOP. Who do you think is going to have a bigger impact on GOP politics? Sarah Palin or Jonah Goldberg? Most of you have never even heard of Jonah Goldberg and now he has the chance to take Palin on head to head, and he will lose in the end. He wanted to take Palin out, and now here comes "The Northern Storm" which GOP pseudo-"conservatives" and liberals have long dreaded. |
