I've heard enough
Fred is running interference for McCain. Case closed. Fred is now part of the problem. We conservatives can now focus on Bob Barr. Fred just doesn't "get it". If he does, he is just too lazy to do what is right. He needs to read Peggy Noonan's WSJ column today.

Sorry Fred. Once again, you show up writing columns and not willing to fight for the cause. I like you but stop wasting our time. We have serious work to do and GOP Titanic is not going to be how we get it done.

I Agree Phil
One explanation of Rudy and Fred's inept campaigns is that they never intended to get the nomination. Their role was as blockers, left and right, to allow the presumed nominee to run right up the middle. The RNC's goal from the beginning was an amnesty candidate and it was McCain's turn.

GOP-RIP

Fred hits the nail on the head as usual
There is no perfect candidate but among the choices we face McCain is the one to take on the war on terror. There are other issues he is in direct confrontation to in the conservative movement but they do NOT outweigh our national security. Hey McCain wasn't my first choice.I'm still a Fredhead.Flash is not Fred Thompson but he is a solid conservative and we should view him as an asset.

Virginia
The sad part is that Fred is good at articulating the conservative issues as well as why we are conservatives in the first place. The problem is that he just won't fight. He is just the latest conservative body snatched by the pod people who have taken over the GOP.

BTW, Bush just left the Saudi palace with his tail between his legs after ceremoniously entering with hat in hand. The Saudis rightly refused to up their oil production, as if they could if they wanted to. You would think that our government would level with us and start fixing the problem. Oil prices will continue to rise so long as our government continues to talk stupid. Congress wants to punish the oil companies by taxing them out of existence. Yeah, that'll work. Without the oil companies standing in the way, oil will be FREE!!!!
