'Hide Your Daughters!' Headline of the Day
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 1:03 PM
This one freaked me out for a sec:

Clinton to launch drive for younger women's votes

Mmmm-hmmm.

Luckily, it's Hillary, which is slightly less scary for America's spare remaining chastity, but you might wanna hide your daughters anyway.

And Today's "lock 'em up" headline...
...is:

"Clinton Focuses on Women"

Mick
I said it already today - Coulter could have been promoting kiddie porn and you would have said exactly the same things in her defense.

Another profound, clever post that improves our lives and really makes us think about the truly important issues of the day.

You're so deep.

Hmmmmmm
You know, the DNC is looking at polls that will never see the light of day in the MSM. I wonder what Congress's approval rating is? Has that been published anywhere since San Fran Nan's coronation?

First we start with the fake-black-preacher pandering and bloody shirt waving in Selma, and now we are going for registering unmarried women (who tend to vote Democrat).

I wonder what the tea leaves are saying...

Gathering of Eagles/Move America Forward
Not on topic but important. These two great organizations are combining efforts for the pro troop rally in DC on March 17th. Move America Forward has organized a caravan that starts tomorrow in SF and ends on the 17th in DC. There are about 20 stops scheduled for the caravan. If you can't be in DC on the 17th to show your support go to one of the rallys. You can find the information here:

Clinton & Women
I guess If they're not going for a job as Bill's interns.......they should be ok!!
db writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 4:28 PM
OK, but...
Now that we've agreed that it's a botched joke, does that mean you are obligated to appologize?

/Just joking now :^)
Mary Katharine writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 3:42 PM
Nah, db...
I actually didn't mean to imply that at all. I was just saying, even if the story's about Hillary, Bill's still out there. Bill's the one who's earned the scorn in that regard, not Hillary. I wouldn't go after her in that way.
db writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 3:32 PM
Don't misunderstand me, MK
I'm not chatising you. I have stayed silent on the 'Coulter comment controversy' (how's that for headline worthy alliteration?) becasue I fond the whole thing to be ridiculous. I am simply pointing out that when you make a jest about Hillary posing a threat to our dausghters' chastity, that you are (inadvertently?) implying that she is a lesbian.
Mary Katharine writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 2:59 PM
I call foul
I go after her for saying "faggot," and I'm to be chastised for making a very tame sex joke about Bill Clinton? Pardon me if I think the comparison is unfair and inaccurate.
db writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 2:49 PM
Not passing judgement...
just sayin'
db writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 2:47 PM
Isn't this a Coulter-esque remark?
"Luckily, it's Hillary, which is slightly less scary for America's spare remaining chastity, but you might wanna hide your daughters anyway."
Tully writes: Tuesday, March, 06, 2007 2:18 PM
Unfortunate headlines
Reminds me of this WaPo headline from last summer...

"Clinton Makes a Pitch for Women"

It was about Hillary addressing the NOW gang, if I recall, but definitely a doubletake. Think it came out the same week as:

"Pope Urges End to Cartoon Violence"

My first thought with that one was "Hey, they've already gutted Road Runner..."

Ick

That's a headline no one wants to read.
