"Me- I seem to recall another election in 2000 that the GOP won after manipulating recounts... And I think we are ALL sorry they did today."
I will have to respectfully disagree on this point. There were plane loads of attorneys from the gore camp on the ground the 5th of November.
The Bush camp was caught flat footed and nearly didn't catch up to the count, recount juggernaut unleashed in Florida.
A vote is a precious thing and canvassing boards should not divine the voters intent.
If that's where we are(canvasing boards picking senators etc etc), the great American experiment is in decline. |
Let us pray that Senator Webb is " locked and loaded" and living next door to the latest nutball. They both like dirty books, have anger issues, lack social skills , have huge ego's, and full of their own self- importance. One appears to have a mercenaries cold -bloodidness, the other , should not carry firearms, or matches, or sharp objects. We should call it the Senate psych ward, cots available ! Lord have mercy ! Mongoose and the cobra !! |
typical ditto head responses-smear fear and accuse. You're a cliche right out of the Rush limbaugh show. This would be funny if so much nationally wasn't on the line.
But its funny how you still can't accept the fact that you were proven wrong by Sarah Palin herself.
Perhaps you can go elsewhere and spread your special brand of idiocy someplace where you will do less harm. Perhaps you could go for a walk in the park. Certainly that will do you some good as you really need to re-evaluate your life.
People do not become as wrong as you withoutmaking serious errors. You need to confront your mistakes if ou are ever to be a whole person. Getting in touch with Nature/God will assist you with this.
Typing your ignorant screeds on this board helps nobody.
Perhaps the time is right for a social conservative support group? Go start one. |
This is part of the beginning stages of what Conservatives have to have the resolve to fight with every fiber of their being. Corruption in this country knows no bounds.
If the Conservatives do their jobs, it should be four years of hell for the liberals notwithstanding those who "reach" across the isle like John McCain and his little minions like Lindsay Graham.
Conservatives may have lost a battle but they have not lost the war. Not yet, anyway. |
Democrats are lying cheating and stealing at every turn. They are the dirtiest party by far and away. Franken should not be seated now or ever. The democrats cheats in MN. office that have obviously slanted favors Franken's way should be removed as well. |
You have the laugh of a 3 year old little girl. But I guess that's to be expected from today's "feminized" liberal male. |
franken is a clown.
Stuff the ballot boxes and when that doesn't work, count and re-count until you get the outcome you want.
To paraphrase old Joe Stalin; the power lies with those that count the votes.
At least, the GOP should make it appear that they are doing their duty.. The Senate seat was incrementally stolen right out from under Norm coleman, but Reid is up in arms against seating Mr Burris, the legitimate Selectee of the current Ill-Noise Gov? Starting Jan 20, the Senate, in particular, is going to be a Circus.. Just send in the additional Dem Clowns, and Animals.. and let the chips fall where they may.. |
When I saw that Al Franken was running, I thought it was hilarious! Who would vote for this loser?
I didn't figure on George Soros backing the third-party candidate.
I also didn't figure that Coleman's win could be stolen by uneven counting, double counting, and non-uniform standards.
I hope Norm fights this. At least it will expose the cheating that Dems do to win.
Unbelievable!

Republicans just cannot stand it...LOL...
I just love to make fun of Moron Republicans...Makes my day...
No longer relevant...No longer of any need...
Would make really good dog catchers and meter readers if one could find a republican smart enough to read a meter...
hehehehhehehehe
I Love Me Republicans...Gives me laughs
http://www.republicansexoffenders.com http://www.freelevi.org
Keepl the Laughs Comin Republicans!!!! Yea!!!! |
You hit the nail right on the head. Morons like Lola are utterly incapable of thinking for themselves, and MUST rely on the orders they receive from their DNC masters.
"Veto happy". What a freakin' laugh. Slick Willy almost vetoed the welfare reform act more times that Shrub has total vetos. Any SANE, RATIONAL person would say that is one of the biggest faults of Shrub -- his LACK of vetos.
But to the dolts like Lola, black is white, up is down, right is wrong, war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.
The level of utter STUPIDITY in the current Democratic Party supporters is just ridiculous. Most of those brain-dead dolts couldn't even articulate in their own words why they hate George W. Bush. All they know is that the talking heads on TV say that he's a "bad, bad man", and thus, ipso facto, and ergo they don't like him. |
Harry Reid was so concern about Burris not meeting the Senate requirements and staining the vacated senate seat and he's going to welcome Franken. Who's more qualified to be in the Senate, Burris or Franken? Even Caroline Kennedy has more experience then Franken. Are they going to do give Franken a mike and rename the Senate, Air America Senate. |
..........should we get behind abortion if it means a few more votes? Now go back to move on, huff, or wherever they pay you $6.50 an hr. to come here and act like an "our party is so out of touch" consevative! Hipocrit! |
Now... lets see the mettle the senate GOP have... they can win this, if they don't give in.
The RNC should already be filling the media with the coordinated message about vanishing and reappearing ballets, inconsistent counts, bias volunteers, etc. Even if Coleman does not get seated... then GOP can make many political points and use this as an opportunity to highlight the massive media bias and intentionally poor reporting when it benefits the dems.
The MSM is becoming the true enemy to free speech and freedom.
It is time for the GOP to start fighting like the dems... that is, to fight smart and fight to win any inch they can get.
Well Frank if being against out of wedlock sex is being "current GOP" ya got me. Unlike You Frank, my conservative values don't begin and end with the rip of a rubbers packet. Hipocrit! |
First he goes to the State Supreme Court to throw out wrongfully rejected ballots.
That doesn't work.
He loses.
He's suing to add more rejected ballots.
Hypocrit.
He should save his money for his own corruption scandal coming up. |
you're just like the current GOP-when your old line of defense fails you just keep digging deeper and deeper. You are too funny.
Thankfully Palin has proven to be at least twice as smart as the avergae voter or this case you average village idiot which surely you must be. |
...thief in the temple? You go Stuart Smalley! Keep up those daily affirmations! Even though you're not good enough, nor smart enough to be there; and doggone it, who could possibly like you?
I mean really, did anyone expect anything different? Franken-idiot and his idiot friends were going to keep counting and counting (sometimes the same things twice!) until they got the outcome they wanted. Not the first corrupt politician; certainly won't be the last!
Maybe he can cruise on down to Chi-town and hang with Blago after he gets sworn in. |
So now Pres. Bush is "veto happy"? Never mind he has the least vetos (12) since Chester Arthur, if your talkin points memo says he's "veto happy" then he's "veto happy" damn it! |
"veto-happy President"....????????
GWB has probably used the veto LESS than any other President in recent history.......
WE conservatives are pissed at GWB also on vetoes........HE DIDN'T USE ENOUGH OF THEM!!!!! |
stole the election from Nixon and the rest has been history ever since. Stealing elections is what the "RATs" are all about.
"Lil Lola" reads out of her little commie red playbook and blathers about "tooolllerance, etc.
She needs to visit Dr. Lyle Rossiter, {psychologist}, he says liberals/socialists/commies are brain dead. Hahaha! |
Or should I say "The Latex Consevative"! I see your still trying to justify YOUR use of a rubber as a green light for out of wedlock sex. Remember Frank? Remenber how it was so horrible for Bristol to have out of wedlock sex, but o.k. for YOU because YOU used a condom? Your brand of "do as I say, not as I do" conservatism is just like YOU Frank, a joke. |
"and get ready for Princess Caroline."
Funny how all of a sudden the media has stopped asking about "qualifications" for public office, huh?
Sarah Palin is governor of a state, was the mayor of a town, spent a career out of routing out corruption, including from within her own party, and personally had international deplomacy experience, NONE of which "That One" had, yet she was "unqualified".
Caroline Kennedy has EXACTLY three qualifications. One of which is her last name, and the other two are in her bra. And yet not a peep from the "news" press about that. Instead there are insults tossed at those who would DARE to question what qualifications she has, as if simply having the same name as a man made famous by MURDERING a girl means you are automatically "qualified" for public office. |
Sorry, dear but the dems have controlled congress for the last two years....just about the time everything went to hell |
...maybe it's time that you actually read a newspaper or website that isn't owned by George Soros and the Daily Kos. Since the Clinton Administration, it seems that ethics and integrity have been practically declared unconstitutional.
Of course, when we look at the roll call of the U.S. Senate...Dingy Harry Reid, Queen Hillary Clinton, Leaky Pat Leahy, Grand Dragon Bobbie Bird, the two lions from Massachussetts...then maybe the pseudo-comedian might be a perfect fit...and get ready for Princess Caroline. |
It's about time that the leaders in the GOP show some spine. If they allow this un-talented tax cheat, pseudo-comedian and alleged author to steal a seat in the Senate, then there needs to be a revolt. |
...that Lola never even READ any of Ann Coulter's books? I'm betting that the Vegas odds are something like 100 quadrillion to 1 against, and that the drivel she's scribbling is nothing more than the cut-and-paste vomit off of huffingtonpost.com or DailyKOS, which, I am sure, she reads religiously, and thinks is "absolute fact". |
Franken is, well he's just a blowhard uberlibral comedian. He is what he is. Coleman is rotten and corrupt to the core. It's a pity the third party candidate didn't get more traction. |
no wonder you are such a dissagreable angry little cuss; it must really gall you you to be so wrong all of the time.
Good thing Sarah Palin has more common sense than you. I guess you were too busy finding new way to fight abortion when Palin relased her statement saying Piper's prenancy was in effect "unplanned" "A mistake" "and not ideal."
Sounds exacltly like the admission of guilt/failure I was talking about.
My opine of her has gone up-my opine of you remains unchanged. You are the cancer inside the gOP.
Why don't you go elsewhere? |
Apparently, you don't read what you have written...cheat if it doesn't go your way? How many times has Coleman been ahead? Just keep recounting the same ballots, and stealing them from the opponent until you get your desired result! Your an idiot! |
...that in a few weeks, now America-hating fascists....I mean Democrat....can no longer legitimately whine "It's all Republican's fault!!!". In a few weeks, we're going to see EXACTLY what the Democrats are made of. Methinks 1933 all over again. Sadly, like 1933, in 70 years, after The Great Obama Depression, Obama World War, Obama Cold War, and everything else "That One" hands the "58 States", the left wing hacks puking out history books will forget Obama's involvement in all of that and miraculously blame it all on Republicans. Again. Thereby continuing the Orwellian cycle of lying to keep the fascists in charge. |
Calling this moron a US Senator is a disgrace. The dems keep reaching farther down into the cesspool to dredge up their candidates. The US doesn't need enemies, it is destroying itself. |
People on both sides should remember that neither side holds the bar on being above the fray when it comes to dirty politics and shady or illegal behavior.
Republicans will do just as many dirty things as a Democrat because they are both after, and intoxicated by, the same thing. Power.
With all the scrutiny on election results in Minnesota by the media and the watchdogs from both sides, I can't imagine that any illegal behavior has happened. At the same time, it does look shady and I think that the Democratic leadership should refuse to seat Franken until it is ironclad that he won the recount. It seems silly that they would block Roland Burris and not Franken.
Anyway, please don't assume that Republicans and conservatives are always the good guy and that Democrats are always "lieing, cheating, and stealing". And vice versa. It's a silly and naive thing to say. |
The cheating is right there in the open for everyone to see.
We know for an IRREFUTABLE FACT that HUNDREDS of votes -- ALL of them for Al Franken -- were counted twice. How do we know this? The election board has ADMITTED that they were counted twice. The scame they pulled was simple. They claimed that certain votes would not be registered by the voting machines, so they manufactured "duplicate ballots" so they could be read. The problem is that they counted BOTH the original ballot AND the duplicate ballot. That is a fact, and it is a FACT admitted by the election board, Al Franken, and everyone involved in the recount.
Their cheating is right there in the open for everyone to see, and the reaction by the American Nazi Party....er, I mean Democratic Party? CELEBRATE stealing elections.
You know what the scary part is? Even the Nazi Party of Germany never stooped to stealing elections. Oh, sure, they burned the Reichstag and duped a senile Hindenburg into handing over power to Hitler, but even the Nazis never stooped to the level of the cheating Democrats. |
What you just did there was ignore everything and state the dem party lines. So, now Franken is ahead after:
duplicate ballots were counted as original: Net gain for Franken 80 to 100 votes.
Ramsey County precinct ended up with 177 more ballots than there were recorded votes on Election Night: Net gain for Franken 37 votes
Absentee ballots: Many Franken leaning communities have completed the re-examination of this issue, while many Coleman leaning have not: Net gain for Franken 176 votes.
But, I haven't been paying attention. Bottom line, this was going to go on until the democrat had enough votes to win, and then they want to certify immediately. |
Since when do ethics, honesty and integrity get in the way of keeping democrats from getting what they want?!? The congressional republicans may only have been in the majority for 12 years - the democrats for 70 plus years. That's a lot of time to corrupt and taint the system. |
SDF and Lola - Are you people blind or just stupid? Repubs have been following and it is obvious what is going on here. Dems are lieing, cheating, stealing bastards and you two are dems. Republican politicians simply need to learn how to fight folks like you. Lie, then accuse your opponant of being dishonest. Cheat while accusing your opponant of cheating. Steal while accusing your opponant of cheating. That is what we have witnessed Dems doing for the 30+ years I have been paying attention. You will be the first to run when the new Revolution happens. |
So it's the republicans who say "It's goes my way or someone cheated"? Let me be the first to welcome you back from Mars, where you apparently spent the last 8 years in a cave. |
LOLA - how much do you get paid for being a TROLL? Don't expect much here, as you are on IGNORE. We'l just count this group of votes twice, while not counting this group of votes... yes - we know why Frankin is where he is. Just watch what happens next! |
Hey sdf are you serious? Republicans cry cheating when they lose. We have been listening to the left whining and bellyaching for 8 years. I'm not even a republican, but I can't believe you are that delusional. |
I hope they don't do too much damage, but I believe they'll do enough to get the republicans or independents back in 2012. Al Franken doesn't just tell jokes, he is a joke. What kind of drugs are you doing in Minnesota. That is one place I'll never want to visit if they could elect this nasty little man. By the way did he pay those back taxes yet? |
White Salamander said Franken won the election. Did he? Ann Coulter wrote a piece awhile back here on TH about Dems stealing elections; add another one to the list.
Franken is a foul-mouthed comedian who also has legal and ethical challenges. His election proves that Democrats will vote for anyone with a "D" next to their name. It also speaks poorly of the people of Minnesota; prior to this they had a reputation of being pretty sensible. Finally, it shows just how bad the Republican brand has been battered. |
"For weeks and weeks Coleman was ahead by from a few votes to a few hundred votes. Now, Franken pulls ahead and they immediately want to certify him the winner? The recount itself had all manner of discrepency. The democrats accuse republicans of stealing elections, but it appears they are the real culprits. This isn't the first time this scenario has played out."
Republicans just don't understand the process of voting. "It goes my way or someone cheated!". If you had been following this race, you would know that Coleman has exhausted all of his options, and that the lead came after a court review which allowed additional absentee ballots, initially not used, to be counted. But then you'd be informed and able to make a intelligent comment, and I hear that doesn't fly so well over here at Townhall. |
Unless you are willing to fight to the end, the seat is lost. Franken cheats. No doubts about that. But if the GOP really wants to start winning again, they can actually put up folks that CAN win. |
the us government is a big joke--- bailouts, people on the take, fools as represntatives... no wonder the US is becoming a joke to the world and to the voters. lets just elect peple who just take care of thew special interest groups.
........aka, Kimberly, Giselle, animalgrl, Ronnie, Window Cleaner, and my favorite, a--hole! |
Six names ago(Kimberly) she vilified him! You libs are so predictable. |
- Nixon didn't protest about the dead-people in Cook County/Chicago "voting" in 1960. Jump ahead another 40-some years... I wrote former Senator Bill Fritts about the GOP sponsoring the anti-Internet Wagering bill as the Republicans were pandering to the Baptists (while Lotto and OffTrackBetting are okay, of course). The totally stupid response from the supercilious senator's office was sickening Pabulum Puke, utterly irresponsible, "saving we 'unwashed' from ourselves." Face it, the Republicans are weak -- an empty shell; if Mitch McConnell's the best the GOP has in that august body, we're all in serious trouble! We have a two party system - - the evil party and the stupid party. |
For weeks and weeks Coleman was ahead by from a few votes to a few hundred votes. Now, Franken pulls ahead and they immediately want to certify him the winner? The recount itself had all manner of discrepency. The democrats accuse republicans of stealing elections, but it appears they are the real culprits. This isn't the first time this scenario has played out. |
The ethical party that brought us Blego and ACORN is ready to take the reigns. |
Does anyone have any specific information on Franken cheating on this election? It sounds like the process has just run its course and Franken won. What a shocker that left-leaning Minnesota followed the national trend of ousting Republicans. |
This recount was going to keep going until Franken was in the lead - then it would be "certified".
As soon as election night was over - you could see this coming a mile away.
The only time I found Franken funny is when he announced his candidacy - and now Minnesota deserves what they've gotten.
Now the REAL comedy begins. |
Governor Pawlenty had reported that the recount would be clean. At least one lesson is evident in the Minnesota travesty and that is that mild mannered muttonheads should stay clear of National politics.
Thank God for Senator Cornyn of Texas. |
Time to "Move On" so to speak. He deserves the defeat. It'll be enjoyable to watch Franken, a true comedian, be serious. What an amazing change!
I read one post and laughed hard. Liberalism was restoring fiscal responsibility? Are you serious? when did that happen? when, exactly did liberals propose cuts to government spending? |
I have noticed that none of the posters here who support Franken have even bothered to deny that he committed fraud in order to get elected. There can be little doubt that when there are more ballots than voters something is not right. |
I can't think of one reason the GOP would stall this process. Their track record say's it all, we have never won anything like this. I don't know if its the money or lack there of, or the simple gutlessness of the party. Make no mistake, I think this recount was bias and was robbed from Coleman. Why anyone would want this idiot Franken to run anything except his mouth is beyond me. Until the GOP gets a clear party leader, we will remain in the weeds and pointless. |
Franken is no Jessie Ventura but if there is not a pro wrestler on the ballot might as well vote for a comedian. The good people of Minnesota still have some lessons to learn.I say let him have it,he is just going to add to the circus which is now known as the Senate.Only until there is such a preponderance of foolishness and irresponsibility exhibited by this liberally dominated senate will the MSM be forced to cover it's shenanigans.Maybe than will America find it's sanity. So let the clown in ,the sooner the better. |
...Burriss and Franken will be albatrosses around the Dims' necks for the next couple of years. Franken's outrageous, intolerant, elitist diatribes that lefties delight in as "comedy" will do more to fire up the opposition than to bolster their party. And Burriss will be a constant reminder about which its the REAL party of corruption. Bring 'em on! |
It's not much, 225 votes, but it's enough to give Minnesota the senator it deserves. If Gov. Pawlenty -- and Coleman for that matter -- wants any future in politics he ought to nudge his allies in D.C. to do the right thing and not stonewall Al Franken's first term in office. |
to steal the election because they're willing to lie cheat steal or anything else they have to do to effect their nefarious agendas. It's very unfortunate for the country. |
B.O. as Potus... never happen !! McCain as nominee... never happen !! AWTF as Sotus... never happen !! What happened ??? |
that brought the country to the point it is today. As Rush has said, the Repubs nominated a moderate in McCain (and McC's former friends in MSM turned on him); GWB has governed like a moderate-to-lib at least fiscally (and has been accused of all manner of atrocities); GHWB was a moderate-to-lib and was hammered by the Left.
Franken failed with Air America while Rush continues to set records and results - for his sponsors, listeners and yes, his detractors. Are you really that impressed with Al and what he hasn't accomplished? |
How they steal elections! By, Al Franken |
So now there are 59 dem. senators. Just 1 more and the rethugs can go home - permanently.
It's fitting that Al Franken participate in the removal of conservatism from control of the US. When liberalism was being beaten down after restoring fiscal responsibility and restricting assault weapons, Al Franken was one of the few people willing to take on the blowhards like Rush Limbaugh. Now that conservatism has run America into the ground, those with the courage to denounce it early on should participate in the correcting of our course. |
If Republicans are to spineless and allow this to happen, I'm simply resigning - from politics - and I'm going John Galt. I've got the local sports channel up on my radio and thats that. Let the dems/libs run us completely into the ground - I just don't care anymore. |
Every circus needs a clown, that's why we elected you.
Al Franken. Al Franken.
It's becoming a bad joke, so it makes sense to have you.
Al Franken. Al Franken.
Caligula at least sent the whole horse, Minnesota just the back.
Al Franken. Al Franken.
Now excuse me while I vomit, I can taste it in my mouth.
Al Franken. Al Franken. |
