Who Hacked Into Palin's Email
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 7:07 PM
Anonymous, the group credited for illegally hacking into Sarah Palin's personal email and distributing her and her family's personal information, is identified as a left-wing fringe group seeking to expose the Church of Scientology. (Yes, weird, I know.)

They have been described as a "cyber vigilante group." A chapter of their group, which is indeed strange, protested the GOP Convention a few weeks ago. Here is a video clip from it:

Here are some of my thoughts on this. It's almost certain this illegal invasion was politically motivated. The only people who've expressed interest in obtaining Palin's personal emails are the ones trying to nail Palin on Troopergate. And, what are the odds someone would be hacking into her email if she wasn't named VP? Slim to none, I'd say.

Palin released official work emails for the Troopergate investigation, but her foes have been clamoring for her personal emails since politicians are encouraged to use a personal email account for non-government related communications.

So here are my questions:
What are the odds these people are supporting the Obama campaign?
When is Obama going to make a statement denouncing this illegal, invasion of privacy?
And how soon is the FBI going get these hackers and the bloggers over at  Gawker who promoted this illegally obtained information??

Lastly, when is the media, outside of Fox News, going to start holding people accountable for so viciously invading the Palin family's privacy? If the DailyKos fabrication about Palin "covering up" her daughter's pregnancy wasn't enough, surely uploading Bristol Palin's cell phone number and personal contact information for Todd and Track should be. It's not like everyone doesn't know exactly what side of the political spectrum these smears are coming from.

Bizarre...
Come on, liberals. You've read what's left of the Constitution: only the Federalies are allowed to do that sort of stuff unchecked with no accountability.

Now apologize and promptly go apply for a job at the NSA.

Where is Andrew Sullivan?
Where is Ariana Huffington, and the New York Times, and Daily Kos? Where is the ACLU? Is there no one who will speak for Sarah Palin's family's right to email privacy?

Memo from Andrew: Yeah I will be right on that after I examine the DNA tests from Baby Trig and question Sarah Palin's choice of having amnio performed.

Cyber corruption
It won't take long for Federal Officers to tag and hook-up these hackers.

Whether, politically motivated or just cyber anarchy designed to cause humiliation and/or sell information for profit; this results in tampering with the electoral campaign.

All hands involved get punished. Period.

It surely won’t prove out to be registered or 'likely' Republican voters.

Women of America, run to McCain/Palin on election day.

SNOOPS
So far, EVERY report of misconduct I have read has come from a religious NUT for the McCain - Palin ticket and I imagine this in no different. Democrats usually respect peoples privacy, whereas Republicans think that some GOD has given them the right to snoop into EVERYONES life.

Hacker confesses
"I read though the emails… ALL OF THEM… before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor…. And pictures of her family"

okay HKL*
Now consider this, if you can. The headline is "Obama's Personal Email Account Hacked." Now the shoe's on the other foot. DO you still stand by your ignorant remarks? I await your response.

Obama
I'm sure Obama or one of Soros's operatives had
something to do with this.

Obama cant multi task, he's lucky if he can tap dance and find the tele prompter at the same time.

Hopefully they will shut down gawker and charge
any and all people involved.

In a sense, this helps Palin
And what was found by these hackers? What was found in Governor Palin's personal email acount? PERSONAL EMAILS. They illegally hacked her account to try to find what she was "hiding", and it turns out she was hiding NOTHING.

animalgirl writes: Wednesday, September, 17, 2008 9:32 PM
This seems so fake
I don't believe this is really Palin's email. Gawker is the only blog covering this--the rest of the left blogs haven't bothered because it's so unlikely to be real.

If it is, I condemn it--no one should ever be looking into other people's emails without a warrant. I'm so glad the right has finally discovered the right to privacy, though! Are they also upset now about Bush Administration spying without a warrant?
animalgirl writes: Wednesday, September, 17, 2008 9:42 PM
Now that I think about it
Not only is this fake, but this was likely leaked by Palin to try to staunch investigation of her personal email account, which she used for state business.

REAL REPUBLICANS DON'T CARE
Am I right?

The memo said to say:

"If you have nothing to hide, it's ok for anybody to spy on you."

Isn't this what real republicans are 'sposed to say? Did I read the memo wrong?
Peter from Dover NH writes: Thursday, September, 18, 2008 7:12 AM
Despicable
These comments from the dems make me want to hurl.

If a rape victim is Republican do you think she was asking for it? Does anyone deserve to be raped? Do you think she is the only Governor with a private email account? Do you think she is the only one who emails work associates from a private account? But for her there is an evil reason?

How much can you hate her? If this is the mentality you have to have to support Obama then I no longer want to be in that club.
This is nuts.

I never thought I would vote for a Republican or McCain but there is no way I am going to be connected to this crowd of hate mongers.

This family will never feel safe again.
Perceptor II writes: Thursday, September, 18, 2008 7:51 AM
To answer the Democrat talking points
1. "This is obviously a faked hack attempt used to drum up sympathy for Sarah Palin." Uh, no. This is confirmed as real. And Anonymous doesn't strike me as a group that'd go along with McCain/Palin.

2. "Sarah Palin was obviously hiding something." Liberals had been crying foul because Palin would not turn over personal emails to investigators, claiming that she was hiding something. With the contents of this account made public, it's now obvious that her personal email contained nothing incriminating or even relevant to the investigation.

3. "Sarah Palin should not be using a Yahoo account for government business." And this illegal and unfortunate event has proven that she wasn't.
Nee writes: Thursday, September, 18, 2008 7:54 AM
you lefties
Miss the entire point. It isn't about having something to hide. It is that someone willfully went after her to try and find somenthing to use.
If Palin withheld some emails, perhaps that is related to potential invstigations or legalities which makes it nobody else's business.

illegal conduct
Once again those on the left prove that they can not be trusted to be in office or hold any power or authority. From looking at Pelosi and Obama Logan act violations down to code pink disrupting recruiting efforts by our military and now this hackery against GOV Palin. Those on the left should be considered tratiors to the nation and should be tried for treason. It is one thing to have a different point of view and discuss it in the public square it is something totally different when those of a different views conduct illegal activities and conduct attacks against those they do not agree with. Those of us who can conduct ourselves as adults need to push back against these nut jobs. Tha's why I engage people every day about the election. The one thing I found out is as long as I debate with facts people realize how much a threat Obama and the dems are and have decide to switch their vote or come out and vote. Go McCain / Palin
Dread writes: Thursday, September, 18, 2008 12:31 PM
Perhaps...
If our anonymous hacker is ever caught he can hire a lobbyist to get Congress to pass retroactive immunity for his crimes.
Senior Chief writes: Thursday, September, 18, 2008 1:41 PM
The Hackers
There is no doubt the hackers are politically motivated. What else can you expect from scum. People whose only way of winning are through tactics typical of losers. For what other reasons would Obama sanction sending 300 of his goon squad to Alaska. Liberals think nada, zip, zilch, of ruining a persons life. They will do anything to justify the means.
