Woman's Credit Card Charged $175,000 to Obama

Washington Post reporter Matthew Mosk, who I've criticized several times before on this blog, has found a doozy of a story about the Obama campaign.
I wonder if they'll actually publish anything about it or just give it the cursory acknowledgement on their website.
Apparently Mary Biskup's credit card was charged $175,000 from the Obama campaign. She said she never donated anything. (And yes, she must have awfully good credit.)
The campaign caught the error and refunded the money. Mosk published a quote from an Obama spokesman commending themselves for doing so and making sure everyone knows "no organization is protected credit card fraud."
This seems to me like a heck of a story. $175,000 is nothing to joke about. It's not like this woman lost a dollar in a pop machine.
There's no doubt this story should be on A1 tomorrow.
Something tells me the Washington Post isn't going to move this story off their blog page though. I really hope I'm proven wrong. I'll update then.
UPDATE 10/23: Well, I wasn't proven wrong.
The Washington Post makes NO MENTION of the $175,000 erroneously charged to a woman's credit card by the Obama campaign in their print edition today.
There is, however, an A1 feature on John McCain that opens with tales about Keating Five, a news story titled "McCain Tries to Push Past Palin Backlash," a news story about why "Democrats Have Reason to Celebrate." In the Style section there is a lengthy piece critical of Sarah Palin's wardrobe budget and an uber flatting feature on Joe Biden's wife.

What's the "doozy" part? Mary Biskup was never charged anything; the actual article implies that it wasn't even her card that was used, although you claim that it was. The article says "someone used a credit card to donate the money in her name. No charges ever showed up on her credit card statement."

While this amount is extreme, several others have reported a few thousand dollar "contributions" to the Obama campaign that they did not make. Now I know that you will not believe this Bob, but it is the truth.
This might surprise you, Bob; I hold no animosity toward you or those who believe differently than I do. I just wish you would not deny the truth. If you face the facts and can justify voting for Barack, based on the truth and because you believe he has accomplished something of substance, then so be it. These are probably the ones the are obviously bad. Like over $2300. But one wonders about those not so obvious, like just $23. 25,000 of those is a lot of money. and it could go unnoticed for quite some time.
One also wonders how much of those types of "donations" were counted in the one month $150 Million record in September.

This is happening more than you think. Remember the story a couple of weeks ago about the Obama givers who were giving multiple donations under $200.00 with odd ball names. One of those had been visited by a local police department, no doubt investigating identity theft. How many people out there are donating to Obama and have no idea they are doing so? This isn't the first, and wont be the last. Someone should start looking through and contacting the people who gave via credit card to see if they actually did. |

the Donor name. This is obviously how the Obama Campaign is getting their money. The get a "fat cat" donor to make numerous (maybe 100s) small donations using other people's names. This happened to my wife a few years ago. The only way we found out about it is by googling my wife's name, a document shows up saying she made a donation to a candidate the she never made.
There should be a law that the name of the donor match the name on the credit card or checking account.
The Obama Campaign figured this out in the primaries and that's why they didn't accept Public Financing. They knew from the primaries that they could get away with it. And by the time anyone figures out what they did, he will already be president. |

This is a lot like the ACORN people making up names or getting them out of the phone book. The Obama Campaign is very good at getting names from people who attend their events. All they have to do is get a Fat Cat's credit card and use the names of people they collected at their events. They charge the Fat Cat's credit card but make the donation in the name of somebody else. That somebody else is not notified (except in the case like this one where the same donor's name has been used too many times). ACORN tactics raising its ugly head once again.

I believe he was born in Kenya because his Aunt and other family members told some investigators he was born there before they knew there would be a problem.
Also, the part about his stepfather obtaining a Citizenship for him in Indonesian so he could attend school there should be a problem for him because when he reentered the US his mother would have had to precure a reinstatement of his US Citizenship by going to the immigrations department and applying for one under the Naturalization process I would think. And Berg says that has never been done.
And by the way, there are documents showing where he was enrolled in a school there and that his religion was listed as...ISLAM!! So he can't deny that. Plus he can recite the oran in prefect Islam dialect.
The mere fact that Obama is fighting this along with the help of the DNC makes him look guilty of something.
I pray that he was born in Kenya and was never made a naturalized Citizen of the United States!!
I try to get people to go this site but they just ignore these very important facts for some reason. Maybe they are just afraid to get their hopes up. |

Don't see anything on here about her continued ignorant responses as to the job description of VP - you know the job she's so qualified to do. It may have done. The article that Carpenter uses as the basis of her lies says "someone used a credit card to donate the money in her name." We don't know what name was on that credit card.
That's like "Happy Birthday! I've donated $100 in your name to your favorite charity." A credit card charge wouldn't go through without the correct cardholder's name. And when the Obama campaign refunded the donations, the money would have gone back to the cardholder's account. |

As a previous identity theft victim, I appreciate your reminder to keep tabs on my credit card activities, especially during this political season. To me, that's the story...in addition to the campaign connection. Based on my experience (to include FBI and IRS interaction), an amount above $100K usually garners the US Attorney's attention. |

I'm not an activist but if Obama wins this election and we've got the government controlled by an all Democratic presidency and congress, I think some major protests need to take place. Especially with the media and Acorn being behind this nutcase.
I was watching a special on PBS about the Chicago 7. They rose up to protest the Vietnam war under Lyndon B. Johnson. It amazed me at what people can do if they're determined even though the Chicago 7 were a bunch of liberal junkies themselves. That was also without the internet.
I wonder what a socialist government would do if the very people who pay most of the taxes in this country, Republicans, boycotted paying into their system. |
