RNC Hits MoveOn Democrats
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 3:39 PM
The RNC hits the nail on the head with this.

Update

... The Senate voted 72-25 in favor of Sen. Cornyn's amendment (.pdf) condemning MoveOn's ad.  (Here's the list of today's Roll Call votes.)

... In what won't be described as a "profile in courage," Obama actually missed today's vote on whether ot condemn MoveOn.  Meanwhile, Hillary and Dodd voted against the resolution.  Amanda Carpenter has more on Hillary.  On a side note, lots of liberal bloggers aren't happy with the Dems who voted for the resolution.

Nice Try, Soothsayer ...

But I've never given a penny of my money to any to the three slugs you name, cheered the resignations of Craig and Foley, and won't care a bit when Vitter unceremoniously leaves Congress.

You, on the other hand, seem inordinately proud of your contributions to the Soros Sewer.

Again, your money. I'm just not sure what makes you so proud of the way you spend it.
soothsayer writes: Sunday, September, 23, 2007 1:54 PM
You're killing me!
I'm loving the irony of the party of Larry Craig, David Vitter, and Mark Foley whining about "political pornography."

You might want to rethink your words. =)

It's a Free Market Soothsayer
(McCain-Feingold notwithstanding).

You're welcome to spend as much of your money as you wish on political pornography. Whatever gets you off, buddy.

moveon.org update
Thanks to republicans wasting time in Congress, kooky sites like townhall.com, and even this blog, moveon.org received OVER FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS in donations on the day of this silly resolution. Their best single-day receipts ever.

I'm feeling a little cheap for only sending them $250... keep up your good work and maybe I'll send 'em more!
bama writes: Sunday, September, 23, 2007 5:50 AM
funny this resolution!
expound truth (or lets spin the facts) loudly proclaims these senators were voicing the outcry from america and because they work for america they voted for the resolution. excuse me, but i don't think the outcry was very damn loud, as it were, considering a vast majority of americans are convinced that even if the general wasn't stretching the truth it makes no difference. they firmly believe america needs to return the troops home. damn, isnt that just quite incovenient!
if the hawks, bush supporters, right wing idelogoues, racsit and the gop wants to have a real debate on iraq, a winning debate, they need to do better then to attack the first amendments rights of a minor political group. it isn't working for them because most americans know the right has done worse if not the same types of things even with this issue. i guess americans were suppose to forget that an uber hawk like rush "pass the pills" limbaugh as also referred to the good general as "general bretrayus."
in conclusion, keep up the good work y'all ... it worked well for you in 06 and i'm sure it will work well for you in 08. iraq and bush will win the white house for you! please don't change a thing!

What a Surprise!

A completely off-point, and slightly bigoted, post from Ron Paul supporter Warren Small.

tc, some anti-virus for you.
__The Senate Resolution were those senators voicing the outcry from America. Senators that work for America. Unlike those viral senators voting against, or missing the vote. Take your medicine child, and get over it.

Senate Irresolute
The senators from the benighted states of America have spoken. The senators from the homeland security state have spoken. The senators who believe in freedom of speech as long as it agrees with them have spoken. The senators from the corporate state have spoken. Untold billions to the military and industry in endless wars against terror and speculations to create more wealth for the wealthy but not one more red cent to provide health insurance for children because it will harm the economy; socialism for the rich, free enterprise for the poor. The senators from the oil state have spoken in favor of continuing Opearation Iraqi Liberation(OIL). The senators who believe in extraordinary rendition have spoken. The senators who believe in no limits on the president but limit the constitution have spoken. The senators who believe politics is compromise and have always been willing to compromise themselves and the nation have spoken. The senators who believe in No child left behind have spoken, but if it's not their child then there may be some room for compromise. The senators from the military industrial complex state have spoken. Thumping a bible never opened, waving the flag as lives explode behind its rippling folds, speaking for the voiceless unborn while ignoring the screams of the living caught in the bowels of the beasts of war, watching like village idiots as the dollar loses value and prices rise as they tack on more "supplemental" dollars to feed a voracious war-machine. Saluting the stars and stripes as the shroud of the stars and bars whips in the background. The senators do not question the lies and liars who started a war but damn the critics who identify the witting and unwitting tools of war in order to stop war. The senators who speak when the empire strikes back have spoken. The senators who speak for the fearful state have spoken. Have we heard enough?

The ad
More proof that Bush Republicans aren't funny, at least when they're trying to be. So far as Obama, was this vote really so important that he needed to be there? With all the problems in the world today I'd rather our Congress not waste its time on empty gestures.
Cold Hard Truth writes: Friday, September, 21, 2007 12:08 AM
Land of Lincoln?
How did Hussein Obama miss the vote? Perhaps he was teaching in the local madrassa.

A non-vote is a ney-vote. Hey rookie, start earning your money! Step up to the plate.

But I guess this is all we can expect from Illinois these days.

Farewell Land of Lincoln, Farewell. Abe, we hardly knew yee.

Illinois, embrace your destiny.....face East and bow to Mecca......5 times a day.....

And no mention...
Of the tanking dollar and the role our spendthrift 'leaders' of both parties had in creating this mess.

Which actually surprises me, because if there's a run on the dollar, that'll mean the end of the US as a superpower, which means no more playing Globocop for the neocons.

Kudos to the RNC
Awesome ad.

What's happened in the past month? It's like the RNC discovered they're at war with both Al Qaeda and Al-Democrats.

I sent moveon.org another check today.
