Carol noted this here already, but I think it is worth repeating. Yesterday, Wes Clark had this to say about John McCain:
Gen. Clark: "But he hasn't held executive responsibility. That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded? It wasn't a wartime squadron. He hasn't been there and ordered the bombs to fall. He hasn't seen what it's like when diplomats come in and say, 'I don't know whether we're going to be able to get this point through or not, do you want to take the risk, what about your reputation, how do we handle this publicly?' He hasn't made those points Bob." (CBS' "Face The Nation," 6/29/08)
CBS' Bob Schieffer: "Well, General, could I just interrupt you. I have to say, Barack Obama has not had any of those experiences either nor has he ridden in a fighter plane and gotten shot down."
Gen. Clark: "Well, I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be President." (CBS' "Face The Nation," 6/29/08) All I can say is that if John McCain's military experience isn't sufficient to qualify him to be Commander-in-Chief, I hardly think being a "community organizer" in Chicago is the proper training grounds ...

While I am not a McInsane fan, I have to wonder... How did the slimmy snake ever become a general? |
|
|
I'm sorry, but facts are facts and emotions won't change facts. I don't see what General Clark said that was wrong or underhanded or out of place. What are McCain's resume points that show him to have foreign policy or security experiences instead of finding himself in the unfortunate and heroic position of being a prisoner of war in Vietnam? And what else is being said...that no one can say things about candidates other than other candidates? |

Who almost started a war with the Russians in Bosnia? The Metrosexual General who brownnosed his way to the top? That Weasley Clark? |
|
Did Weasley Clark really say that McCain merely "rode in a fighter plane" ?
Fighter pilots don't "ride" in fighter planes---they fly them.
What a disrespectful moron.
No wonder Clark was removed from his post. |

sucking up to Clinton, they went to Oxford together. Absent that relationship, he never would have seen a star. He is the worst example of an officer I have ever seen and I spent 1/3 of my life in uniform..No decent loyal officer takes cheap shots at another, especially one with Mccain's record of service to this nation, it just isn't done. Clark showed what a toady he really is, first he sucked up to hillary for a VP slot and now the other idiot. If Mccain isn't qualified according to clark, just where does that leave obambi?
The man is a fool. |
