you folks lost. Get used to being in the minority for a long, long time, if this is what you want to talk about instead of the mess that Bush created. |
|
Blagojavitch was corrupt either.
Obama
Was not aware that Jeremiah Wright was a racist and America-hater
Was not aware that Ayers and Dorn were American hating terrorists
Was not aware that Tony Rezko was a crooked scam artist
Was not aware that Father Flaherty was a rabid America hating radical
Was not aware that Frank Marshall Davis (his mentor in Hawaii) was a card-signing Communist
Was not aware that Rashid Khalidi was an Israel-hating Islamic terrorist
So of COURSE we believe the President-elect.
NOT! |

Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald. |

You can try to peddle your Leftie lies and bogus talking points around here if you want to, but we aren't buying what you are shoveling. |
|
in a Chicago prison, if TPTB thinks he might sing like the bookkeeper in The Untouchables?
LOL! |
|
Blagojevitch will go to trial.
He can defend, suffer a conviction, get a commutation of sentence and keep friends in high places. And just maybe, cause a jury to nullify any case against him and walk out 'vindicated.'
We're a long way from singing here.
It does portend a "pig-pens" cloud following the President Elect around like a bad headache that all can see coming. |
|
The "RATS" can't stand it when one of their own gets caught in the act! Hahaha!
Chicago thuggery is alive and well,{thanks to demo-RATs}, Capone would be proud! |
|
"They cannot keep that up through an entire presidency." Are you a betting man? |

I have written several times about the Big 3 being nothing more then a pay off to the Unions who lead the way for the DNC with help from the Media.
Here we have Chicago Politics who made the Socialist DNC party of today. This is the Change the Hippies voted for. Dating back to the 1950s Union Mobsters stealing elections, getting JFK elected, Finding ballets and re-counting until they had enough to win.
Obama blew though almost 1 billion dollars if you include the primaries. Money come from all over the world. Then tack on 300 billion dollars of free press and you have a rank amateur as the President.
The only question is how many will fall on the sword to protect Obama and is Obama Teflon enough to hold off a President Biden?
|
|
|
It will be cast on the 15th. Wouldn't it be cool to see McCain-Palin snatch the election after this mess? |
|
|
BHO never answered the question --oh, forgot, he was never ASKED the question-- whether he'd commit to keep Fitzgerald on as the US Attorney on this case. There can be little doubt he would've pulled him off this case, probably using the cover story that Bill Clinton did the same thing, everybody's gotta go, nothing particular to Fitzy. I think he knew that and made his move first. |
|
Hugh:
Took this from a reader comment on Lynn Sweet's Blogo article (Chicago Sun-Times) on the potential impact on Obama.
Why Obama's Next
Tony Rezko is a private citizen. Therefore, the evidence presented in the trial focused on his influence over officials in getting members appointed to the Boards. Prosecutors did not discuss how the legislation got passed that enabled the Planning Board to be set up in a way that allowed for the appointment of members to rig the votes to begin with.
That part of the scheme will likely be detailed in future indictments, probably starting with Blagojevich. Blagojevich signed the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act with an effective date of June 27, 2003. However, before he could sign the act, a bill had to be passed by the Illinois House and Senate. As discussed fully in Curtain Time Part II, Obama was the inside guy in the senate who pushed through the legislation that resulted in the Act.
Obama was appointed chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. The minute the bill was introduced, it was referred to his committee for review. The sponsors of the bill also served on this committee with Obama. Within a month, Chairman Obama sent word to the full senate that the legislation should be passed.
The persons appointed to rig the votes, including those who contributed to Blagojevich and Obama, are cooperating in exchange for immunity or lighter prison sentences.
But Obama received $20,000 from the first kickback paid in the pension fund scheme and the straw donors used to funnel the $10,000 payments, Elie Maloof and Joseph Aramanda, also made $1,000 contributions to Obama's failed run for Congress in 2000. |
|
You must not be from Illinois.
There are a lot of Democrats here in Illinois who either were enablers to Blagojevich's corruption or who participated in it.
Keep in mind, this was not an indictment. This was merely a criminal complaint filed by Fitzgerald to try to prevent Blagojevich from selling Obama's Senate seat to the highest bidder. The indictment, when it comes, will be far more wide-ranging. We still have all that testimony from Rezko, Atta and Levine that hasn't been revealed yet. There are a lot more Illinois Democrats in Fitzgerald's crosshairs.
And then there's Daley... |
|
involved in this act of corruption?????
Does Obama have a legitimate US birth certificate?????
Inquiring minds want to know!!! |
|
How often and how closely have you worked with him?
Obama: Not as often and as closely as I have worked with Ayers. The American people did not care about my relationship with Ayers, why should they care about my relationship with Bogo? Stop pestering me, ye little people. The American people need me in these times of trials and crises as a guiding light, as an inspiration. |
|
that talks about Blagojevich's enablers, i.e. all those Illinois Democrats who looked the other way over the last few years as the Feds were investigating corruption in the Blagojevich Administration.
Now that Blago has been arrested, they are all claiming to be shocked! shocked! to see that there is corruption in Illinois politics.

you got that wrong. We 'rats want corruption ferreted out wherever it is. To Blago? good riddance to bad trash. he's a disgrace and watch him go up the river for a long time.
As for you Reeps? well, we saw what you did with the Dept of Justice. It was a disgrace, a lawless disgrace. Your moral authority right now? zero!
And lowlifes may slobber at the prospect that BHO will be tainted. so what? lowlifes are the coin of the realm in the Reep party these days.. |
|
|
..not this stupid phantasm kooky Reeps have that Barack must eventually be revealed as corrupt and dishonorable, Republican lawmaker Larry Craig (R-ID) had his appeal rejected. Like many other Republican and conservative leaders in America, he seemed to like to spend his spare time in the men's room. |
|
The person who looks great in this sordid affair, in fact, is Barack Obama, whom Blagojevich refers to by another name. According to the charges:
ROD BLAGOJEVICH said that the consultants ... are telling him that he has to "suck it up" for two years and do nothing and give this "m-----f---- [the President-elect] his senator. F him. For nothing? F him."
"Blagojevich said he knew that the President-elect wanted Senate Candidate 1 for the open seat but 'they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation. F them.' " (Senate Candidate No. 1 seems to be Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to Obama.) In another passage, Blagojevich fumes that if Obama doesn't show him some love, he'll appoint a person Obama doesn't want. Obama comes off as good as he could possibly have hoped for: He's behaving well even when you don't think anyone is watching.
|

I'M SHOCKED AND APPALLED!
And here the blathersphere of the Web had me convinced that only Republicans were crooked. My entire universe is imploding around me! |

they are just that RATS, and always sell out everyone they can to save themselves.Look for some serious reprocussions from this. They will try to keep it quiet but this guys a real rat and will TALK and TALK LOUDLY and about many. ALL DEMS OF COURSE.the fun begins now. |
|
|
|
From the lips of the president-elect:
"I had no contact with the governor or his office, and was not aware of what was happening."
QUESTION: How does Obama, who was lobbying for the appointment of his Ms.Jarrett, to his U.S. senate seat, profess to have had no contact with the governor who would have the sole authority to make said appointment?
[A governor, by the way, with whom he worked closely with, in making political appointments and funneling taxpayer dollars to support Rev. Wright's "ministries" among other things, in Chicago during his time as Illinois state senator?]
More will be revealed. |

YOUR party is the one that caters to the "pickle-lickers"....
LMAO!!!!!! |

..getting your breathless assertions from Drudge, the right-wing talk show hosts, Fox, and all those other has beens. No one gets their marching orders from Drudge any more--not even the corporate media. Except you tools.
Is Barack spotless? No. by all accounts, tho, his relation to Blago was cordial and cool. Fitzgerald was quite specific that Barack had nothing to do with this. And in fact, he seems even cleaner, an even fresher breath of air, in the light of this story.
The way you clowns play with reputations--always on the assumption that there must be--must BE--some grave character defect if someone is a Democrat--it is a moral disgrace. A moral disgrace. Nasty little rats--and by now, everyone knows it.
So get your marching orders from Drudge...tools. |

I suggest all you proud liberals read this, posted 1 hour ago on TH by Carol Platt Liebau:
Tuesday, December 09, 2008 Barack and Blago Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 10:41 PM It's entirely foreseeable that the Obama team would be working hard to distance the President-elect from the allegedly corrupt Governor of Illinois. And it may be that Obama is purer than Caesar's wife.
But there are a few questions that remain unanswered, as this linked piece points out. First, of course, there are the comments from David Axelrod (now retracted) that Obama had spoken directly to Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy. Hm. And then, there's the fact that the Governor said (in one of the tapped discussions) that Obama wanted his friend Valerie Jarrett appointed to the seat. If he never had discussions with Obama, when and how and by whom did he come by this information?
Could it be through Michael Strautmanis, a top aide to Obama, who once worked for Blagojevich? Guess who he works for now? As Chief of Staff to "presidential assistant for intergovernmental relations." And who's that? You guessed it . . . Valerie Jarrett (who later took herself out of the running).
It would, at least, be interesting to know exactly how all of this has come about. Will the press insist on answers from Obama? Don't count on it.

posted FIVE BLOGS IN A ROW!!!!!!!
He's/She's as narcissistic as Obama is........ |
|
...as in the one possessed by Pathetic Liberal. He states at 2:38 PM:
"...And btw, we're gonna show what happens to a corrupt elected official, regardless of his political affiliation."
Yeah, he's gonna school us, "show us", in his words, "what happens to a corrupt elected official".
Is that why corrupt Barney Frank maintains his position of respect within the Dumbocrat party after having been found to be affiliated with a male prostitution ring operating from his home?
Yes, you, "show us".
Is this why dumbocrats protected the very corrupt, Robert Torricelli, New Jersey Senator for so long?
Yes, you, "show us".
Is that why dumbocrats allowed Mel Reynolds to keep his political seat for over a year while he fought felonies--12 of which he was convicted of and was sentenced to long prison time?
Yes, you, "show us"
An then to have Bill Clinton pardon Mel Reynolds long before his sentence was served?
And what about Dan Rostenkowski? You sure showed us there, allowing his year's long corruption to fester and thrive while dumbocrats did......nothing.
Yes, you, "show us".
And, William Jefferson. You sure "showed us" on his prolonged public service after having been found fully corrupt.
Yes, you, "show us". Like you have recently with the Detroit mayor-----whooooooooo, boy, you sure nipped that in the bud and "showed us". |

"The MSM issued a huge pass to candidate Obama during the election when it came to Rezko et al. They cannot keep that up through an entire presidency."
You want to give me the over/under on that?

David Axelrod: Obama Senior Advisor Fox Chicago Sunday, November 23, 2008
REPORTER: Has he expressed a preference, however, on who might replace him in the senate?
AXELROD: He has not. I mean uh, I know he has talked to the governor, and uh, you know, he’s, ah, there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and he’s, I think he has a fondness for a lot of them.
Barack Hussein Obama: President-Elect Answer to Reporters on Blagojevich Arrest Day, December 9, 2008
OBAMA:"I had no contact with the governor or his office and so I was not aware of what was happening."

Just think what would happen if BLAGOJEVICH (democrat) was Palin (R).
The News Media and the Socialist Hippie Democrats would be screaming from the mountina tops. But it was just another democrat scandle (one of the many we have had to deal with) from the party who could not run a Government Post Office with out looting it. |
|
I am looking foward to treating Obama worse then you hippies acted towards all of the Republicans over the last thirty years.
Obama already suc ks and may even be worse then Carter before he even takes office.
The worst person to ever hold the office of President Elect! hahahaha.
Now that there was funny! |

If you thought Bill Clinton was a piece of work, wait to this guy gets going!
Sheeesh!! |
|
Doesn't Patriotic Liberal call to mind Henry F. Potter, the horrid misanthrope Lionel Barrymore played in Capara's "It's a Wonderful Life?"
He certainly has mastered the same foam-at-the-mouth, spite-filled insults and imprecations.
I think Patriotic's wife (assuming any woman would have him) beats him up.
|
|
Go ahead and bash Drudge all you want. It was not the News Media that busted Billie Whoe Clinton. It was Matt Drudge you fool.
It was not the Media who busted Mel Reynolds. Drudge did.
It was not the Media who busted Dan Rostenkowski. It was Drudge.
Drudge may be taking down Obama in the near future. This is just the start and Obama may well be up to his neck in the mess. I can tell you Obama is a Chicago Mobster or he would have never been elected in the first place. It will not be the Obama Media who will expose this. It very well could be Drudge.
President Biden? Oh man! |

US Atty Fitz on PEBO: 'We Make No Allegations that He's Aware of Anything' December 09, 2008 1:56 PM
ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports:
U.S. Attorney Patrick "The Untouchable" Fitzgerald was pressed numerous times today at his Chicago news conference about President-elect Obama’s awareness of Blagojevich's actions.
“I’m not going to speak for what the President elect was aware of," he said. "We make no allegations that he’s aware of anything and that’s as simply as I can put it."
Later when asked if Obama had been briefed on this case, Fitzgerald again answered, “I’m not going to down anything that’s not on the complaint... I have enough trouble speaking for myself, I’m never going to go try to speak in the voice of a President or a President-elect so I simply pointed out that if you look at the complaint there’s no allegation that the President-elect, there’s no reference in the complaint to any conversations involving the President-elect or indicating that the President –elect was aware of it and that’s all I can say."
Hardly the exoneration of Obama that Patriotic Liberal seems to suggest in his earlier posting on this thread.
|
|
Clinton was street smart and could hold his own. If he could get chicks on the side with out Hillary cutting off his little wanker. The guy had to be smart. Billie Whoe had years to learn how to fool the average tax payer.
Obama is a rank amateur who was in the State Senate protected by Mobsters and two years in the US Senate.
Obama is ten years short of Billie Whoes rank and not in the same league as Clinton. |
|
... in an all night phone session with the King, Billie Boy.
First thing he told Obama:
You ignorant Low IQ stupid putz, I am going to... |
|
Conservative Republican here, so not a big Obama fan. But I'm already weary of this m.o. on our side. First it was the birth certificate movement. Now this.
It seems that so many are so anxious for something to land at Obama's doorstep that they can't even pause to get the facts straight or let the story play out.
Maybe a link to the man develops. If so there will be ample time to jump his case when it does.
And this demanding that he talk about it, why? So we can have more column fodder? We were well aware of how unfair this Catch-22 stuff was when they did it to Bush, yet here we are doing the same thing.
The GOP has bigger fish to fry right now. We need to be getting our own act together. If we spend our energy on these "gotcha" games, then the Dems will be putting the finishing touches on their Senate super-majority come 2010 and petty sniping will be the only tool we have left.
I say again, we are better than this. |
|
I tend to agree with what you are saying.
This guy is a rank amateur. Even with all the help he is getting from the media [hollywood, same thing] he still puts his foot in it every time he opens his mouth and speaks off-script.
In fact, that's exactly the point I make: This mug has not even taken office, and he's already getting caught in a bunch of lies. [Clinton was well into his second term before he claimed, "I didn't have sex with that woman..."]
This idiot claims, "I had no contact with the governor..." before he even gets inaugurated.
The American people may be sick of him, BEFORE he starts his FIRST term!! |
|
...this from Barack Obama on Blagojevich Arrest Day [New Illinois State Holiday].
While less than 3 weeks ago his own Top Advisor, David Axelrod comments on Fox that Obama has spoken with the governor on his possible replacement in the U.S. Senate.
Even now, the media pundits are busy trying to parse U.S. Special Agent Pat Fitzgerald's words about not mentioning Obama in the complaint against Blago.
Yet, the first thing out of Obama's mouth in response to questioning, was denial and an attempt to distance himself from his Chicago fellow-Democrat political hack: trying to cover his own @$$.
Why?

What do YOU think America? How many “associations” are we going to ignore and simply just let a CHICAGO THUG and Michelle Angela Davis Obama waltz in and DISGRACE THE WHITE HOUSE?

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming months...
If the MSM had put a fraction of the effort into investigating the Rezko connection as they did trying to find dirt on Sarah Palin we wouldn't be facing this now - but all we can do is sit back and watch... |

....'THE COMPLAINT MAKES NO ACCUSATIONS ABOUT THE PRESIDENT-ELECT'S CONDUCT...'
Nice try, Neo-Con Feakzoids!

The missing original birth certificate of Barack Hussein Obama ( aka Barry Soetero ) may become of greater interest now that we see what kind of sleaze this Kenyan interloper will drag this country through for the foreseeable future.
Why would ANYONE refuse to show their birth certificate to prove eligibility??? Either he doesn't have one or he is playing some devious game. That's a lose/lose situation!
Better to stop this corrupt, lying Chicago thug now than wait until after he is sworn in. He will self-implode...it's just a matter of when. |

I was surprised to see that Abc news gave this as much coverage as they did. |

Interesting you would say that about Mr. Potter. Much of my political outlook is built out from that film. Did you know, for instance, that George Bailey was a Catholic? Capra could not come out and say it, but there are several hints along the way..
But Potterville, my friend, was an outcropping of the Darwinist libertarianism that is at the heart of Boomer conservatism. Nothing new under the sun. The dichotomy between Potterville and Bedford Falls is very much the dichotomy between libertarian conservatism and communitarian liberalism, between Boomer conservatism and post-Boomer liberalism. If George Bailey stood for anything, it was that there is a civic component that can and must trump the logic of the market. And while capitalism is a powerful engine for creating wealth, it can and must take a second place to our humanity and those bonds we have with one another.
So, interesting that you would call me Henry Potter and try to insult me in that way. It is your side, not mine, that are his (Mr. Potter's) ideological children. Me? I was always a good friend of Peter Bailey and his son George. I liked George's uncle and brother just fine as well.. |
|
It appears that Rahm--Barack's chief of staff--helped out the investigation.
You guys are out of your mind. Barack smells like a rose here. He obviously represents that part of the IL political tradition that is appalled and disgusted by the corruption in that state. |
|
Drudge is a tabloid disgrace, a rumor peddler, a self-satisfied creep, a good-for-nothing. It is enormously satisfying to see his influence wane.
As for your talk about Barack being a Chicago mobster, that's disgraceful too. but playing fast and cheap with the reputation of others has become the calling card of contemporary conservatism. It's called "bearing false witness," but you clowns have a generational record of sacrificing truth to bow and scrape before power. Which is fine. That speaks to your character. Don't hold your breath for President Biden, though. After this, BHO is even more golden and unassailable than he was. Tough luck for you. You're gonna have to do it on ideas, not character assaults.
Btw, Washingtonmonthly suggested that Fitzgerald eventually be named to head an investigation into war crimes at the top levels of American leadership--let the chips fall where they may. Great idea, don't you think? Blago's corruption is pretty run-of-the-mill, standard fare from both parties, given the state of things with the human soul. But war crimes--that is a unique and disturbing product of this generation of Americans, and must be expunged if America is to re-claim her historic greatness. |

Corrupt is as Chicagoland thugs do. No change from the Al Capone days. |

"I had no contact with that man, Gov. Blagojevich." And be sure to wag your finger in our faces, Mr. President-Elect, so that we know that you're being truthy. After all, that's how we knew last time.
Obama was right when he said that we have only one president at a time, but it's not out of the question that we can have two lame ducks simultaneously.
Hang in there, Rod. "[Bleep] 'em."
This thing is indeed "[bleeping] golden".

that blago has suddenly met with serious health problem....namely death. maybe it was that dead fish he received in the mail that was laced with something......

"et's see....."rev" wrong, rezko, franklin, "father" faygler, ayers, blabbo, etc....but they were just people i knew...."
You're mixing up your hatreds - rezko is a crook, franklin had nothing to do with Obama - ayers, wright, phleger - they're just people with whom you disagree - NO ONE accused ANY OF THEM of corruption... |

"If the MSM had put a fraction of the effort into investigating the Rezko connection as they did trying to find dirt on Sarah Palin we wouldn't be facing this now - but all we can do is sit back and watch..."
if you actually bothered to read a newspaper - instead of robotically slamming the media - you'd know that Rezko was thoroughly covered - particularly in the Chicago media.
Here's just ONE example from the New York Times last year:
"An Obama Patron and Friend Until an Indictment" "Now, as Mr. Obama runs for president, the once-beneficial relationship with his old friend and patron has become problematic.
Last fall, Mr. Rezko was indicted on federal charges of business fraud and influence peddling involving the administration of Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich of Illinois, whose picture was also on Mr. Rezko’s wall. Since then, Mr. Obama, a Democrat, has had to answer questions about a land deal with Mr. Rezko’s wife, Rita, and about other ties to him."
try actually READING the news before opening your mouth...
|
|
fred says: "You're mixing up your hatreds - rezko is a crook, franklin had nothing to do with Obama - ayers, wright, phleger - they're just people with whom you disagree - NO ONE accused ANY OF THEM of corruption..." gulp gulp gulp....man that koolaid is great....now which where is the messiah today so that i can kneel and say my prayers.....
LOL!!!

Obama is a product of the corrupt Chicago political machine. For him to say he does not know the Blago is just another lie. Weeks prior to this it was reported that there was contact between them concerning his replacement. Not to mention Rezko. Obama will not be honest about anything and has lied to the People or refused to show proof of his citizenship to this country. America WAKE UP!!!!! Obama resign and at least do one thing right for the Country |

OK, Big news for Friday 12/12/08 Cort Wrotnowski's case was distributed for conference by all nine SCOTUS Justices this coming Friday morning. Leo's legal arguments were a large bases portion of Cort's. Leo strengthened the arguments in Cort's case, AND both Leo and Cort are heading to the SCOTUS Tuesday to file a supplemental brief further strengthening Cort's case. They will answer questions from the media at the SCOTUS steps at 11:00AM.
This is far from over. Leo is fired up. Let the media know that Leo and Cort will be there at 11:00 AM Tuesday.
And it gets even better. I attended the most amazing press conference anyone could imagine today. The room was packed overflowing. Philip J. Berg, Esq., Bob Shultz, Dr. Orly Taitz, Esq, and the ever lovable, Pastor James Manning, just SPANKED a room full of press with four big professional video cameras running. Wow! It was hard not to cheer, and Pastor Manning got an ovation, even in there.
