Meet the new Miss Utah: Stevens is a combat veteran. She served as a medic during an18-month tour in Afghanistan in 2004-2005 supporting Operation EnduringFreedom. The adjutant general of the Utah National Guard, Maj.Gen Brian Tarbet said of her, “Jill Stevens is a wonderful ambassadorfor the Guard. Obviously she is bright and attractive, but mostimportant, she’s a terrific soldier.”
And, if that's not enough, she's also a marathoner. Sheesh. She'll head to the Miss America pageant in January.

Kimber looks like Janet Reno. Please shave those legs, kimber, you may set your own couch on fire. |
I will convert if it means a date with her. Goodbye Benedict XVI, hello Joseph Smith! |
It starts out "There is beauty all around..."
Easy to see why, eh?
And for Kimberlyric's benefit, this young lady HAS to be a conservative; no liberal woman ever looked like that.
Oh, and guess what guys...she's a Mormon! Seriously, take a look at this article (http://www.ksl.com/?sid=1432338&nid=148) from a local news source. I recommend the photo gallery as well. |
Your disparaging the subject of the article because what? she's applauded for her actions by MKH? she served in the military? people you abhor admire what she does and how she looks? that she has accomplished a lot in such a short lifetime? that she, a lowly woman, dared to run a marathon in the Muslim country of Afghanistan (surely not in a burqa!) which shows her courage and self-confidence, as well as be a role model for women in Afghanistan to fight against the chains the Taliban/Islamists would keep them in?
...And now you imply that if she says anything at all against Bush or the war, these knuckle-dragging neanderthal conservatives will make of her but a grease spot on history.
You remind me of someone who is born with a silver spoon in her mouth, who hasn't done squat for the USA (or anybody else?), and is only comfortable bashing others, without providing reasonable alternatives.
If that is an accurate picutre, it's a very unrewarding way to live a life, especially when compared to the hottest Sargent I've seen in...well, ever! Good luck Jill...I'll be rooting for you.

A lady who'll step up and serve as a medic in a combat zone gets my vote for Miss America.
Especially when she looks like that! |

The best President Bush had was what we in the intelligence business gave him. And we were not entirely right, just as the Russians, French and British as well.
He went with the best data available, and given that the Islamists had shown they can and would strike us, he had to act to prevent what was probably going to be (given then info at hand) a WMD based out of Iraq used on the US.
Let me set the scenario that Bush faced:
If you had been told that the potential existed for 10's of thousand of Americans to die and a large part of the economy be dislocated and significant areas of a major US city made uninhabitable for decades (the WMD programs that existed)...
And you had seen first hand that your opponents would sue suicide tactics, long term planning and "sleeper" execution by multiple cells in multiple places yet in a coordinated fashion (9/11)...
And you were told that there was a finite and large enough chance of it happening if we continued the current course of actions (sanctions)....
But that you could take out Iraq's leadership and government, and that would stop it, what would YOU do?
Do you put the lives of 10's of thousands of Americans at the mercy of the good will of the terrorists (trained at Salman Pak) and terroristic leader, or do you take action before they can act against you?
Bush had no choice based on what the Intelligence Community told him.

Watch out what you call me. I am NOT a neocon. I am a Paleocon, thank you very much. Came out of high school that way. As for insider information is was report and confirmed by those outside of the MSM. President Bush reads the same cra* you read and watch, manufactured by the Associated (with terrorists)Press (thanks Michelle.) |
Be careful--you are right, there were some WMDs in Iraq and the quantities were seen, recorded , and reported by the International Inspection team in the late 90s. Saddam reported he had destroyed them all but our intelligence people did not believe it. Saddam stopped all inspections and nothing he said could be verified. It took President Bush 14 months to prepare to go to war but he was blathering about it the whole 14 month period. Some believe Saddam moved the WMDs during that period-some say to Syria--I have never believed that scenario because I find it incredulous Saddam would trust Syria not to use them against him. Some say they were moved to Russia--that is possible because Saddam would not be giving the Russians any capability they did not already possess. There were some old chemical shells found after the occupation but they probably were pre-inspection and may have deteriorated to the point of reduced capability. Your comment is not wrong but it is not 100% right either. |
You ought to pass on your WMD "insider info" to the White House, because they're also saying no WMD in Iraq. Oh Sweet Jesus... are you saying the Bush Administration is part of the liberal media? :-O
I loves me some neocon paranoia! |
...they are at Kimber's house. |
Warrior,
There were WMDs in Iraq, the media just did not report it. Also there were stockpiles of equipment and supplies needed to make more. |

Ur 3:32PM. You don't like being lied to; I would have thought you were used to it. As I remember you were lied to straight to your face on national TV, while having a finger shook in your face, by a man who asked for the time on the networks just so he could tell you the lie. Contrast that to President Bush, he has never been accused of lying by any Congressional hearing, any bi-partisan Commission or Study, or in any tell all book written by anyone in a position to know the facts(even those appointed by Clinton). There have been a few instances where some partisan hacks have let their mouth runoff about lies, though totally unsupported by any facts. It is not a lie to say something you believe to be true and later find out it was not true--that is just a mistake. It is far worse and it is a lie to knowingly perpetuate a false statement without any information to back it up. You are guilty of the latter and you should attempt to do better in the future. If you can show me any evidence President Bush knew there were no weapons of mass destruction (WMDs)in Iraq prior to our invasion; I will apologize to you on this board and support a call for his impeachment. If you say nothing and ignore this challenge, I will know you are an ill informed loud mouth not worthy of future debate. Everyone on this board should ignore you for your lack of integrity in thought and research. |
You're absolutely right! Thanks for keeping me centered.
God bless you sir..... |
A photo and story of a hot blonde beauty queen and you guys argue politics. |
Back at ya! I'll be relaxing on one of your relatives! :) |
just aren't worth answering perfesser.....
Have a Happy 4th...! |
Sorry, I'm just waiting for a response from MKH. And as neocon hero bill oreilly would say, she is afraid to answer my question. |
Kim dear,
I keep hearing how 'this war' is an illegal war. To date no one has enumerated why. The resolution that was passed by Congress overwhelmingly had 23 'whereas' statements. The information on hand came from the previous Administration (B. Clinton)and EVERYONE had the same information and anyibe who said they didn't are lying (Sen. Clinton.)The policy since 1992 was regime change. Like I said before go to the library and do some reading. |
Sorry for not addressing your original message. I tried, but my knee jerked...... As I have said before, you are so blinded by hate that you don't even realize how strongly it comes out in your posts. I prescribe a pair of cowboy boots, a George Strait CD, and at least a month without Kos. |
Translation for Kimber - "not a damn thing." |
You are a one-trick pony. Sheesh!
At least Kimber sits in a shack all day and writes manifestos...... |
See... join the service and YOU might become a beauty queen, too! Enough talk - walk the walk! Miss America doesn't like chickenhawks. |
Kimberlyric,
If you go back and read more closely, you'll see that Paddy O'Furniture didn't CLAIM that you said Miss Utah WASN'T making a contribution.
All Paddy did was state that she "is making a contribution to the future of the country, what are YOU doing ?"
Thus, the question remains, Kimberlyric, what are YOU doing ? |
Here is some good news, not to mention eye candy, and along comes Kimberlyric with her dark cloud to ruin everything. Unsurprisingly she is still spewing vitriol. In the past we called that a broken record... And you need to go to the library and do some reading. |
How great is it that a hot chick will post a picture of another hot chick for us?
... were the prettiest, but then I am biased having grown up in New Mexico. |
I have always liked Utah, the people, the voting attitude, now I reall really like that state. Too bad Missouri doesn't border Utah. |
She is making a contribution to the future of this country.
What are you doing....? |
Maybe this isn't a statement on soldiers, but rather a statement on beauty queens. At least when she says that she wants world peace, she'll have more perspective on the the issue than the other contestants. Let the soldier win the pageant! |
about a system in which a soldier can become a beauty-queen? Is that what the martial spirit has become?
Yeah, sure, call me a chauvinist, point out that there are many women who are perfectly capable, physically, of outperforming men. I don't deny that. But I've come a long way from my college days, when I thought, "Yeah, sure, equality means women should serve at the front, how enlightened! Sure, the Russians did it, the Israelis did it." But now, it seems wrong, somehow. It seems to violate the military tradition.
I felt the same way about the "Private Jessica" incident. Do we care in the same way about the hundreds of other soldiers who have been in firefights, and wounded or killed, as we did when we feted that "hero" (or "heroine") for her action? Or is it of a piece with our national attitude that turns the disappearance of some cute, twentysomething co-ed into national new?
I'm not sure I'm making a particular point, it's more of a gut reaction.
Sure, she's pretty, but again, is that what soldiers have become, in our mind? If so, it's one more sign that we have become dangerously weak, feminized, effeminized, and that a time when our enemies are inhuman wolves, and to defeat them requires not the woman's touch, but the traits of the heroes of old.
Sorry for the ramble!

...is starting to make a lot of sense to me right now.... |
I felt a little twinge in my hamstring during my morning jog---I need CPR !
Actually, fellas, I think M-Kat is throwing us all a carrot here with a poster-sized photo of the lovely Miss Utah, in order to deflect forthcoming criticism of when she posts multiple photos of the handsome (shirtless)David Beckham, who will make his debut for the Los Angeles Galaxy in a few weeks. |
... to have that lovely woman administering first aid to me. Imagine on the battlefield, you call for a medic and Ms. Utah shows up.
Your male readers are undying in their gratitude, MKH.
