Palin Takes Questions at Gov Conference

Reporters storm Governor Sarah Palin at Republican Governors Association meeting in Miami, Florida.

Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin wants everyone to know she's is a team player.

She refused to answer questions from reporters about her vice presidential bid in her first-post election press conference telling them, “I don’t want to talk about strategy within a campaign that is over.”

“I know that a lot in the media, you guys are wanting to dissect the past and you are already worrying about, playing that pundits role about what’s going to happened in 2010, 2012,” Palin said. “As far as we are concerned the past in the past.”

Palin addressed reporters before appearing on a panel at the Republican Governors Association titled "Looking Towards the Future: The GOP in Transition."

During a brief question and answer period reporters jabbed Palin with questions about her future ambitions and her political “celebrity." Palin adhered to a message of unity with her fellow GOP governors much to their chagrin.

“I am trying to convey a message that Republican Governors, we are here and we are united to reach out to new administration and offer solutions,” she said,

“This group is going to be looked to and looked at for leadership that perhaps has been lacking in Congress and in Washington DC,” Palin said. “The media likes to focus on us as individuals but the Republican Governors Association is a group committed to governors who know only by working together can we bring back that change that has been so desired by the American public who know we can usher that in.”

Palin said that she could help do that by using “my experience that I have as an energy producing state to help our nation become energy independent."

good
That's the right message.

I bet she wouldn't mind NOT running for President, and advocate energy independence until we get it done.

Ginger, what is it with you?
It seems to me that, while Palin's "associations" have been exhaustively researched, BHO's affiliations have been given a "pass" by the MSM. Only the intrepid investigations by Stanley Kurtz, Byron York and a few others have shed any light on him. BHO was a national figure for over 4 years while Palin barely 3 months.

It is a shame that we all aren't as eloquent and loquacious as you. BHO seems to stumble, hem and haw when off the teleprompter.

And it was Sarah that attracted the huge crowds, not McCain.

ginger you are a partisan moron
When will you lefties stop spewing your hysterical hate campaign against our Sarah? Palin is a bright and energetic woman and a threat to the Democratic party and the anti-feminist feminist wing of the party. Palin is going to be on the national stage for a long time to come. She has integrity and tremendous potential the problem with the Democratic party is an unbelieveable lack of integrity and an elitist attitude. Get over yourself....stop getting your talking points from the Daily Kos and learn something about the new president elect. Obama is an opportunist who has many radical associations while Palin spoke at an event important to Alaskans....she is a governor MORON! She isn't appling around with terrorists like your prescious Obambi!

Liberals enjoy living in misery
Liberals are always going to be hateful and nasty even if things are in their favor that is just their mindset and the way they are. They are only happy if they are tearing someone else down, point in case Ginger.

Leave Pain alone
I disagree with Palin politically and continue to be suspicious of her motivations but agree that people need to let it go.

Obama won the elections, Palin will not be VP. Stop trashing her and taking every opportunity to turn the knife. If she is as bad as the so-called McCain aides are saying she will not make it to the 2012 nom.

Get over it. Like it or not she is Governor of Alaska, let her do her job and we can talk about her again when the primaries start up, if she runs.
Marty writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 11:54 AM
Palin Is the Future
Obama can campaign in "57 states" as he says and Biden is all for the three letter word, J-O-B-S and they all get a pass from the corrupt media.

I am afraid we are in for a Jimmy Carter administration on steriods-double digit unemployment, interest rates and all the rest. The dufus generation that voted Obama in does not know how bad it can get. When Ronald Reagan was elected, it was truly "morning in America." The nation was humiliated and miserable and he turned it around.

All Democrats know how to do is tax the crap out of everybody. That is their answer to everything and they repackage their bologna over and over as steak every time and sell it again to the new suckers.

The only hope for us now is that our conservative leaders stand up and articulate the better way and fight against the trend toward socialism. "Change" is not always good...especially when it is the Change" the dictator wannabe Obama wants.

"all stupid people are republicans"

Seriously?

This is exactly the kind of political discourse we don't need.

Good Lord Palin
don't you have some dinner to cook or some moose to shoot or something? What is up with the Diarehhea of the mouth!

RE: Ginger
It's an understatement calling Ginger a MORON, but the only way to let her know her opinions are meaningless and ignorant is to ignore her completely! She thrives on being able to clash with others and spew her hate. Don't give her the satisfaction...completely, totally ignore her!
Marty writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 12:30 PM
What Planet Are You On?
Ginger, your comments are extremely immature...if you really believe what you are saying, then you are pretty hopeless. Guess you didn't hear the "Intellectuals for McCain-Palin" calling in to Laura Ingraham that day. A man who is a medical doctor AND rocket scientist for McCain-Palin. Get real.
Bulldog74 writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 12:31 PM
Ginger,
"Not all Republicans are stupid, but all stupid people are Republicans."

Way to promote national unity and bi-partisan discourse.

Remember that nothing is forever, especially in politics.

Ginger
I guess you missed the army of MSM and Dem-funded lawyers who descended on Alaska within hours of her nomination as VP, all with the task of unearthing any and all "dirt" (no pun intended).

Give examples of where "there is no 'good' in Palin". Your broad-brushed accusation belies your claim. Was it her re-negotiation of the natural gas pipeline? Or the removal of corrupt Repub legislators?

If Palin wasn't a threat to the Dems, why this reflexive hatred and condemnation? If she's a loser for us, let us lose with her. No harm to you and your side, right?
Jeff writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 1:15 PM
Palin is smart to
not comment about the lost campaign. All it will do is make her sound like she's whining about sour grapes, so it's time to move ahead towards 2012 and the push to oust Obama and his leftist illuminati cabinet from the White House.

Ginger's Resume
Ginger, Palin has run circles around you and around almost every 'feminist' walking the globe today...including Hillary, the coat-tail rider.

Palin: Frontier woman, Journalist, Moose Hunter, Mother, PTO, Mayor, Governor, and Vice-Prez candidate. This is the kind of life story that people write books about and schoolchildren learn to idolize.

How fancy is your resume, Ginger?

Lay off someone that you don't hold a candle to. She has accomplished things in life that you could only dream about.

Nuff said..

BTW, I agree that percentages pretty much guarantee that some stupid people are in both parties, but to be a Democrat, I really believe you have to know absolutely nothing about Basic Economics.

As far as lies...what lies are you talking about?
Bulldog74 writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 1:45 PM
Ginger,
And I thought it was supposed to be Conservatives who pre-judged people and lumped them into categories.

As a matter of fact, after a bit of whining immediately following the election, I swallowed my own disappointment & accepted that Barack Obama is going to be President of the United States. I congratulated my Democratic friends and family members, and said on several occasions that I hope I'm all wrong about him and that he turns out to be a great President.

See where not being a sore loser gets me...
SheerFaith writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 1:53 PM
Good for Palin
She is staying on message and poking a little pinky in the boorish media illuminati's eye.
boomerbabe writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 1:57 PM
Still obsessed?
Ginger, you and the other nut jobs won the election so why are you still worried about Palin? Get over it. If I were you I would start praying that the new President is able to get us out of this economic mess and keep us out of trouble overseas. 2012 is a long time away.

Palin will be the first female president, though. ( That just drives you libs even crazier than you already are, doesn't it? )
Seadog writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 2:24 PM
Take a look at the vast majority
of females who are anti-Palin. They might repeat might get picked up in a sailor bar at closing time -- if the sailors were particularly hard up for a woman!

Using those females one can see on TV or in news photos as a model, I strongly suspect that those one cannot see also fall into this group. I suspect that the older ones were part of the crowd from the 'Sixties and "Seventies who wore granny eye glasses, raggedy granny dresses, had dirty ankles, steam ironed hair and zits the size of .45 projectiles. The younger ones are likely products of the above mentioned females and had their brains pumped full of left-wing bilge by their mothers or college professors. Thier fathers are likely of the same ilk, otherwise they would not have married such poor creatures.

They are a jealous, mean bunch who has no capability of recognizing a real woman who has actually accomplished something entirely on her own. No weeping, wailing or wearing sackcloth and ashes on the part of Sarah Palin -- she just gets 'er done!
Allen Caeden writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 2:26 PM
Palin in 2012!
The libs said the same things about Ronald Reagan and look at who history remembers as being a great president!
Jabba the Rush writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 3:12 PM
Not much of a press conference
She answered or didn't answer, which ever way you want to look at it, 3 questions that lasted all of about 3 minutes in length.

I will be curious to see how the other candidates in 2012 go after her in the primaries... if she does run. I think all of the other governors, potential GOP candidates as well as the remaining 70% of the American population are ready for this Britney Spears TMZ session to come to a close. The 15 minutes are almost up.
purplegraze writes: Thursday, November, 13, 2008 3:45 PM
this woman
is so clueless. I wonder if she realizes she doesn't know much - or does she talk so much that she even fools herself? I watched her entire interview with Wolf Blitzer and she didn't give any specifics about any of the questions. Palin, be specific and stop answering questions using generalizations!! Either that or please shut up.
