'06 Uplifting Ad Watch: Michael Steele Hearts Puppies
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 5:17 PM

Because the Allen/Webb debacle has got me down, I went looking for fun political ads today.

Michael Steele is down 11 points to Ben Cardin in the Maryland senate race, but anecdotally, two Maryland swing-voter friends of mine told me last week that they loved this ad. They actually made a point of calling me specifically to ask who the candidate was. I'm hoping, as people in Maryland start paying more attention, Steele will gain some ground.

Enjoy:

There's apparently a Cardin response ad featuring a similar dog, which sounds kinda humorless, but I can't find it on Cardin's website.

free campaign ad
I saw part of Cardin's clip last night. It caught my attention, because everything he was trying to slam Steele for are reasons I would vote for Steele, if I lived in his state.

Of course the thing they are trying to make his worst crime is supporting Bush. What they did, from my POV, is prove that Cardin & his party are carping simpletons, and he didn't even have to show up on the screen!

Humorous political add
You might want to check out Mark Green's "Extreme" add (Wis. govenor). Plus you might want to investigate the BS govenor Doyle is pulling on his opponent.

Instapundit?
I like it. I wonder if Glenn Reynolds would approve of this message - kinda goes against the whole "puppy blending agenda". Good thing he isn't a Maryland voter.
