VA School District to Record Obama's Speech (Won't Show it Live)

The following email was sent out by Hanover, VA County Schools to parents:
President Obamas scheduled live address to Americas school children has been rescheduled to the noon hour on Tuesday, September 8. On the first day of school, this move will have the predictable and practical effect of touching a very small live audience.
Our complete energies must be directed to promoting a productive beginning to the school year for our teachers and children. It is important to support the establishment of new routines and a smooth opening at this pivotal moment.
The Office of the President is to be respected. This is what Americas public schools promote as a basic part of our curriculum. Therefore, rather than showing the speech on the first day of school, the speech will be recorded, instructional materials will be available, and the speech and lessons may be appropriately featured by classrooms electing to use them at a later time. This will allow time for schools to inform parents of existing opt-out procedures.

Obama and co are trying to keep the cult of personality going and it's just not working.
It gets creepier and creepier with every passing revelation from this cabal.
Commies in the White House, forced sterilization, talk to every last child in the country at the same time and ask them to write about how they can help 'dear leader'.
At first we heard this was the first time a president had addressed all the school children so as to make obumble look like a visionary.
When it backfired all of a sudden the story was 'oh no, Bush 41 did it and Reagan did it'. Lie when your creating the cult of person and then run for cover when it blows up.

If You Trust Anything they Write or Say
I watched their reporting of this story last evening...and true to form, their parrot trolls are out in force with the same tired liberal strategy of irrelevant relevancy, projection, and purposeful obfuscation of the facts.
Yes...other presidents have spoken to the nation's schoolchildren.
But NO other president and his administration has submitted a politically-charged and self-serving "Lesson Plan" encouraging the teachers of those children to cultivate their youthful minds with cultish questions about "What can we do to help our president?" and "What do you think the president is asking you to do?" and "What do you think he will say next time?"
These children are being carefully programmed to think about, and ponder nothing but Barack Hussein Obama; both BEFORE and AFTER his speech. The White House and DOE, in putting this "Lesson Plan" together, even goes so far as to suggest follow up projects dealing with Obama's speech; kids testifying before their classmates about the speech (whether singularly or in groups of two); and writing letters about how they can "help" President Barack Obama.
Help him do WHAT?
This is unprecedented in a free country, especially the United States of America.
But the mainstream media last night, true to form, ignored this little tidbit...even though it ALONE is the source of ALL the protestations against the Obama regime. Naturally, they feign surprise at the outrage....insinuating that this is a visceral hate movement led by well-organized conservative protestors and Republicans.

The message of change, was not stuffed down the throats of our young people.
They could understand what had been going on..many of them coming of age during the GWB years.
They wanted a real change. They want a to get off 'big oil. and way from Insurance conglomerates stuffing cash in their pockets while deciding the healthcare lives of people. Wars begun with a "spin" on the backs of others. Especially when the "spinners" never would fight in wars of questionable intent.

As one fellow TH poster stated yesterday on one of these threads: What we are witnessing, with the administration of Barack Hussein Obama, is the insurrection and willful destruction of our Republic by misguided, self-proclaimed revolutionaries left over from the '60s hippie drug culture movement, being unleashed upon this country. This is just the continuance of SDS, the old Black Panther movement, and Vietnam protest movements.
Barack Obama and his czars represent all the elements who, for silly reasons of their own, are against "the establishment" demonized by the hippies and yippies of the '60s. "Silly season" began during the last election cycle when too many Americans got caught up in the "feel good" idea of voting for a "celebrity" packaged candidate...
...all the while refusing to pay any attention whatsoever to the fact that THIS candidate, not only did not share American values...but abhorred the very Constitution in which they were enshrined.
Since being elected, Barack Obama has been unrelenting in his weird criticisms, denigrations, and visceral dislike of America and his arrogant talking down to voters is beginning to grate on the nerves of ALL Americans, not just conservatives who recognized him for what he was before he was elected.
Americans have found good reasons they don't want his speech to their children....THEY DON'T TRUST HIM! And, although the writer and reporters in the MSM, obvious sycophantic and devout supporters of Barack Hussein Obama and his leftist anti-God, anti-Christianity, and anti-American agenda, continue to try to skirt the issue of why THIS speech is meeting with so much resistance, the people have more sense than you would give them credit for having.
While you try to place blinders on the people, there are other sources for the truth that you have no willingness to either report on, nor explore. We don't trust YOU either.
It's not only "silly season" in the Obama White House...it's "silly season" in the newsrooms!

After reading the remarks my first reaction is AAAGGGGHHHH!!! . I certainly hope they don’t give the print copy to the children without making corrections first. Wait, that would be a wonderful excercise for the English classes - correct all of the grammatical errors.
My overall impression was that the speech seemed to be targeting low income, inner city, minority schools in high crime areas. That is the way it reads. It seems to be talking to at risk students who maybe struggling in school and in life. I was somewhat distressed by the verbiage because it almost implies that the children are not encouraged by anyone at this time in their lives. It assumes that all children are familiar with AIDS, the Xbox and reality TV. It equates poverty with homelessness which in many cases is truthful, however, other factors and circumstances can lead to homelessness. It also equates crime with discrimination as though crime is committed because of discrimination. Children should not be told that discrimination causes crime, they should be told the whole truth about crime at an appropriate age. Americans don’t want children to be told that their country is not ‘fair and free’ enough. |

He talks about the opportunities he had to attend the best schools and he says the same of his wife. Doesn’t this plant the idea that the children must attend the ‘best’ schools in the country or they will not be successful? Doesn’t this degrade the value of higher education received outside of the ivy league schools?
Toward the end of the speech President Obama asks a series of questions. Is this intended to replace the assignment list that the Department of Education sent to the schools? Is this the way he can get the teachers to discuss more political issues in the classrooms? Who will help children define what their goals are and develop answers to these questions? This is exactly why many parents are uncomfortable with their children being subjected to this carefully crafted (social consciousness and reform) speech.
