Classy
Well, no one is classier than you are Dean.

"Here's the thing" (I am getting into Monk-mode now that Tony's season is starting up again)-- losses have consequences. There are going to be changes on the Chargers this off-season.

But beyond that they played like a bunch of kids who had never played in a big game before. Inexcusable some of the stuff that happened, the mental mistakes, the lack of discipline, the dropped passes, the turn-overs.

It is not good enough to have a lot of speed and talent -- you also have to play like a champion. The Patriots did, and my beloved Chargers did not. So if these kids on the Chargers have any character at all they will have learned a lesson or two yesterday...and if they have pride and the fortitude of warriors...they will think on that vision of Patriots jumping up and down on the team logo after the game and never lose the sense of what that felt like so as they will try 10,000 times harder never to allow the personal disgrace of that in front of their fans again.

The Patriots won so they were allowed to dance.

Next time Coach Phillips, don't play cup-cake defense in the last 2 minutes of the first half.

Next time Eric Parker, catch the football.

Next time McCree hang on to the football.

Next time Florence, you pin head, don't head-butt your opponent.

Act like you can play in big games. Play like champions.

Chargers, Schottenheimer Self-Destruct
That's what I wrote here:

http://www.letfreedomringblog.com/2007/01/15/chargers-schottenheimer-self-destruct/

I won't say that Marty is a lousy coach; he isn't. That said, his teams lack the mental discipline to win the big games.

It's obvious that teams don't have an answer for LT. with that said, why didn't they run LT again & again when the score was 14-10? Why didn't they ride him to victory?
