Annoying Convention Coverage

... Whether it's Fox or MSNBC, I can't stand watching either Keith Olberman or Bill O'Reilly at the convention. These guys are both obviously talented (granted, Olberman is better at sports) and both have highly-rated opinion shows, but it just doesn't seem appropriate to me to have them pontificating at the conventions.
When it comes to the actual coverage -- I'd much rather see Brit Hume and Chris Wallace -- or Chuck Todd and anyone (Tucker, Chris Matthews, et al.).
Is it just me???
They are out of their element. They come across as annoying, yelling, and combative.
Oh wait, they both generally sound like that all the time. |
Give me Brit Hume, Chris Wallace and the straight news guys any day for convention coverage. Let the others go on vacation. |
By what possible rational yardstick do you think that Olberding is "talented"? By equating demagogy with "talent", Mr. Lewis would need to deem Hitler and Mussolini as "talented". |
but if you are GOING show up don't barricade yourself in a hidden bunker (i.e, Sean Hannity)to avoid the liberal crowd. Kudos to O'Reilly for at least having the nerve to sit near the people. |
Matt,
Yeah, bro, I think it is just you. You're the only conservative who gets a tingly feeling up his leg whenever that fat, boozing, blowhard by the name of Chris Matthews is on TV.
Ha, ha, ha. |
Is your comment part of some new diet program?
Because I just lost my appetite.
I think it could be very successful. |
I hear, no TV here, that Fox is doing a great job from the conservative perspective. Avoiding positive coverage as much as possible. Focusing on smiling blacks and frowning whites. Finding the lone person in the crowd who is distracted while the rest are entranced.
Good job Fox. Keep up the good work.

I hope your not saying O'reilly and Olbermann are equally bias to their respective partys? In O'reillys case i'm not 100% sure which way he votes, with Olbermann I am. A better comp. would have been Olbermann/Hannity. |
I can't tell if your just stupid or trying to be inflammatory. Maybe both. |
What world do you live in? |
Exactly whose side are you on any way? Lately, from your posts, I can't tell. If you are trying to be "centered" and show no preference for either side then you are failing at it.
I think that soon Townhall will recognize who you really are and drop kick you just like MSNBC did to Olbermann and Mathews.
Hooray for Carol Platt Liebau, Hooray for Amanda Carpenter,
Matt, you are a total loser! |
"Olbermann ... he speaks truth to power has made him so popular..."
WTF does that mean?
Yeah, so much so, MSNBC finally canned him (& Matthews) as news anchors! |

I read your post in the Corner and watched the video - reminded me of Wednesday night before Sarah Palin's speech: I turned on C-SPAN to see when the speech would be on and they were replaying Obama's rally in Kent State University in New Philadelphia, OH. At one point he forgets where he is and says "New Pennsylvania" (this link avoids watching more then you care to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuysikG55Ks). Maybe that's one of the 57 states?
I can't remember who said it on the corner, but he is definitely a "gaffe machine." If he were a Republican, particularly George Bush or Sarah Palin, this seemingly mundane mistake would be amplified and blared from MSM headlines and newscasts and left-wing blogs nationwide.

MSNBC always introduced Carlson as a "conservative" and then not long ago gave his time slot to David Gregory. So I think Fox should give Carlson, Sheperd Smith's time slot. |
Pretty much everyone. CNN's Wolf Blitzer and the sorry excuses for females on his panel were on my last nerve by 8:03 on Wednesday night.
But Olbermann got what he deserves.
If we could only get Bill Maher off the air... |
Personally, I think they're both pompous windbags.
