Ayers' Office
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 11:36 AM
From today's Chicago Tribune profile of the future Secretary of Education:

Ayers' office door is decorated with pictures of Mumia Abu-Jamal, Che Guevara and Malcolm X. It is also home to pictures of children, bills of rights for students and parents, and a rainbow-hued greeting card advising "How to Be Really Alive." A place of prominence is give to a New Yorker cartoon of a man interviewing for a job. The interviewer says, "I'm trying to find a way to balance your strengths against your felonies."

Of course my studio has Hillary! posters, but I don't think Ayers' Che picture is there in the same spirit.

Keep in mind that Obama thought he had been rehabilitated.

Trickled???
Which do you prefer trickled down economy

or trickled up poverty?

What is "Spreading the wealth around going to do?

What I want to know is Barry going to spread his wealth? And it is questionable where it has come from and who does he owe allegence to?

What Obama doesn't say is dangerous.
Obama's plan is to Give a tax break of $3000 for each worker a business hires. Having been a business owner. Business owners do not hire for tax breaks; they hire so that they can make a bigger profit.

Smart business does not pay taxes. The owners pay taxes on their earnings.

He talks about 98% of businesses make less than #250,000. Is that gross? Or is that net?
Because that will make a huge percentage difference.

So the idea that $3000 tax cuts are going to create jobs, is limited at best.

McCain: If capital gains taxes are cut as McCain wishes, it will allow businesses to grow. When businesses grow, they hire more.

Another point is about homeowners.
Obama wants to give a 90 day moritorium on foreclosures. So they catch up. But in the end their morgages are still going to be as high. This is only going to be "doing business as usual." It is just more of the same, throwing good money after bad.

With the recession here and the depression on this way. McCain's answer is to revalue the homes to what their real value is. That way people have a greatter chance of staying in their homes and paying them off.

Obama's answer is always more SOCIALISM. Krueshef (however spelt) pounded his shoe on the table in 1960. But more importantly he told us then, "We will feed you socialism bit by bit until you wake up communist. Under Obama's reign, "Welcome to Communism."

HA ! Rush just noted how "amazing" it is that "everyone who comes out and speaks on behalf of this guy", Obama has to run out and distance himself from !

I feel like we're not just working for the defeat of Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Reid, but also George Soros/Jimmy Carter/Michael Moore - basically, the combined forces of Evil.

If Ayers were not the puppetmaster,

Obama, Jr. would have long ago thrown him under the bus (you do not throw the boss under the bus), as he did his own grandmother, his pastor of 20 years and all Americans who love God and own guns.

100% right on Obama, Jr. not helping his impoverished brother.

When I tell that story to people, their eyes get big and they simply cannot believe the millionaire Obama, Jr. could possibly be leaving his own brother in abject poverty.

It is second only to Obama, Jr.'s opposition to the BAIPA as an indicator of Junior's heart.

So what has a long list of Hugh's statements got to do with Ayers or Obama? Last time I checked Hugh wasn't running for POTUS...although he is infinitley more qualified for the position than Obama will ever be. His accuracy on political prediction is no more important than his predictions for the Browns or Indians....neither will impact the outcome.

The problem with Ayers (apart from the obvious unrepentant terrorist thing) is the fact that he hired Obama to help immensely impact the educational system in IL in a way that scares the daylights out of most of us. Ayers is for communist indoctrination via the educational system. I don't want anyone like that having ANY involvement in the running of this country in any way shape or form. The fact that he was doing this in one state scares me enough. Obviously BO shares his visions. If not what the heck was he doing dispensing all that money via the Annenberg Challenge, quite a bit of which funded Ayers pet projects? Whether it's Ayers himself or someone else in the Education hot seat I doubt the vision that person brings will be too far from Ayers'.

The wrongness of your wrongity has me lost on where to begin. In this, I will certainly fail you.

But I will bottom-line it: There has been a pattern of indoctrination by the Left of our youth for the past 40-ish years. This indoctrination has succeeded in undermining the value of American culture and ideals - the main ideals being God and capitalism.

These ideals have been replaced with multiculturalism and militant secularism.

An frightfully large segement of people today cannot tell me whether Che Guevara was a good guy or a bad guy. They can't even give me a one-minute compare-and-contrast on the difference between capitalism and socialism.

If this sounds like you, then I'm afraid you have some reading to do.

The truth is that Barack Obama is a perfect expression of what these destructive Leftists have been seeking to create.

And with a complicit media, the guys with the biggest microphones are actively covering up Obama's true nature.

He is a socialist. His maniacal pursuit of equality-at-any-cost has compelled him to do dispicable things including seeking to undermine American forgein policy at the expense of American soldiers' lives.

Obama says, "...spreading the wealth around is good for everybody..." The words slip so easily from his mouth.

Regarding supporting one person who makes bad choices at the cost of another who makes better choices "...that's just being neighborly..." Meanwhile, his Kenyan kin has has traded on for years languish in abject poverty. Astonishing.

Americans would be wise to run very far away from the prospect of an Obama Administration.

And should that day come, God help us all.

Here's some advise for Townhall columnist.
You're preaching to the choir here. Attacking Ayers and Obama in these columns are doing no good.
The problem we have is with John McCain. You can't save him from himself. He refuses to fight. This is just a disaster for America.
Poor Sarah. She's got to be wondering how she got in this mess.
They are not only going to lose. Every sicko perverted liberal media rag has attacked her and her family. While worshiping the Obama Marxist as Farrakhan would attest to the MESSIAH.

VOR is either a "useful idiot" or an
active leftist...

Obama surrounded himself with people who hate America, Capitalism, following the law, etc.

What in his past would lead any rational person to suspect that he would change after taking over 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

His promises of "cutting taxes for 95%" (really Marxist redistribution) along with his promises of raising taxes on those who work (doubling FICA) seems to indicate that he will destroy our economy. Or reduce it to that of a Third World "success story" like Zimbabwe...

And rather than saying "But Hugh said..." or "But McCain will...", please address what specific reason a rational person would consider voting for a light-weight tool of foreign dictators, friend of racists, business associate of terrorists, and so on, ad nauseum...

Let's just keep this about Obama and his team (Ayers, Rezko, Farrakhan, Jackson, Wright, et al.), shall we?

Fine, frame the question in the hypothetical. What if Obama wanted Ayers to be Secretary of Education? Would you support that?

Hugh is obviously wondering what kind of a person Obama would put in that position. Ayers would never get approved. But Obama agrees with Ayers position on education and would appoint someone who agrees with Him (Obama The One). That would make the appointee Ayers-like.

Why Ayers does not matter
Anyone want to guess who said this?

January 31:

McCain is a very weak general election candidate, and if he was to win, would not govern as a conservative in any significant way.

January 14:

To know John McCain in Congress is not to like him.

January 13:

[C]onservatives have to know that Senator McCain is the anti-conservative ...

January 11:

A GOP vote for McCain ... is a vote for an old warrior way past his prime ...

July 10, 2007:

[T]here are vast numbers of Americans who really are conservative, who really do vote their beliefs, and for whom John McCain's anti-conservative politics and positions could not be redeemed by his personal story of courage and service or by his relentless and correct support for victory in Iraq and the wider war.

May 18, 2007:

Senator McCain's contempt for you is complete. React accordingly.

And my personal favorite:

March 1, 2007:

Sen. McCain is a great American, he's been a lousy senator and a terrible Republican. That's the brand.

Yup, our prescient host.

Ayers is the puppetmaster!!!!

That is why Obama, Jr. cannot disavowal and repudiate him. Ayers handpicked Obama, Jr. in the early 1990s maybe late 1980s and has been grooming him for this ever since.

May God protect us!!!

Still no accountability
Hugh, have you ever written a single retrospective posts about all your erroneous predictions during this campaign season? Have you ever conceded a single mistake?

I ask because you inexplicably continue to run with this Ayers issue. Have you seen the most recent polling from the NYT/CBS poll? It found that the Ayers attacks by McCain backfired like I have predicted on your site for two weeks. Not only have Obama's favorables gone up along with his polling numbers, but more significantly, McCain's unfavorables have gone up considerably. Why do you continue to harp on Ayers when it only serves to further damage McCain?

With all due respect Professor Hewitt, you are tone deaf. Americans care about pocket-book issues. They want to know how they can buy a new car or get groceries. They will continue to punish any politician that ignores them and instead chooses to fixate on negative attacks on their opponent.

So Hugh, given the indisputable data that has come out over the past two weeks, why do you fixate on Ayers? Are you actually seeking an Obama victory because no other explanation makes sense at this time.
