on the meet the press in 2007 not only admonished black familes and culture he also talked about institutional racism, which some conservatives (like hannity) deny is true.
it was obvious from the get go that many conservatives did not hear or read the entire meet the press interview when they jumped on the band wagon praising cosby.

When you are in Cosby's positition you are always on the defensive. I don't think anything he said was out of line. I think he just came up with Hannity without thinking.
I do think though that some whites take what Cosby says and use it to justify attacks on the
educational and social standards of the black community. Many many blacks believe the same thing that Cosby does, but are afraid to say so because some whites use it to justify racism. The black community has its difficulties but no group in history has moved so far and so fast in a short period of time. People like Cosby just want to keep feet to the fire. |

I think it's time for everyone here at TH to take stock on their own racial footprint.For example: I am white and conservative,which means I am in the top 10%. My only hope of lowering my score would be to apologize for all the horrible things I never did and since I am unrepentant for these deeds of which I did not commit I'm doomed to purchase a huge amount of racial offsets from Rev Al which will all be explained in his new book;An inconvenient color.I wouldn't worry too much about Cosby even he has to keep it real to retain his street cred. |

Obama only disavows when it is politically opportune to do so. He seems to have NEVER objected to these views (Wright and Farakhan) before they became publicized and created a political firestorm because they belie his image of peace, compassion, unity. Obama is not a profile in courage and his disavowals are political pabulum. |

I'm not sure that's a reasonable association of "Hannity" and "racist." It appears Bill Cosby is associating "Hannity" and "white people" in one thought and then speaks another thought about racists. I doubt those two associations are in the same train of Bill Cosby's thought having listened to and admired the man for the past several years. Sean Hannity is a firebrand paid to stir up the pot and provoke arguments, but he's no racist. Neither is Bill Cosby. This accusation doesn't have alot of supporting evidence. |

Mr Cosby was right there saying the same thing AND offering to pay Ms Brawley's college tuition.......because she was such a "tragic victim"......
Too bad for all those REAL racists that Ms Brawley was lying through her teeth.....
Don't remember any apologies to the white race for that one........OR to those white Duke lacrosse team members either.......
