Is Glen a conservative? He says he is a Libertarian! No matter which he actually is, he has a great way of laying things out with a clarity anyone can understand. Sometimes his schtick gets in the way but most times he pretty well hits the nail on the head. |

Beck is radical and populist. He has the guts to say it like he sees it. Bravo Glenn Beck!!! |
|
What in the world are you talking about? That the question is being asked at all tells you the current state of the Republican Party. The tea parties, Beck, the townhalls are all being driven without the aid or support of the Republican Party. They are still lurching and trying to find their own voice. This is an anti-government movement folks. The reason Republicans may benefit is because the country sees Obama and the Democrats as having unchecked power. Their message is unclear, except as the antidote to Obama mania. |
|
"This is an anti-government movement folks."
You are totally correct, but you will never get the liberals to believe it -- because they don't want to do so.
If the liberals would get out of their fern bars and go out into the real world, they'd hear folks in all political partis ranting and raving about the terrible situation in Washington. It has nothing to do with political parties.
It they would go out into main stream America they'd find little old ladies in tennis shoes forming local anti-politician parties and YOUNG ladies doing the same in their neighborhoods. Some are republicans, some are democrats and some do not identify with either.
The liberals can call 'em teabaggers, or any other nasty name they care to, but the movement is not going away; itis growing daily. Will it turn into a third political party? I don't know, but it would be nice if would grow large enough to be a significant political party.
Folks have said there is little difference between republican and democrat politicians. They are pretty well correct. |
|
Seen Dr. Frank Luntz(sp) talking with a large group of ladies who called themselves "9/12 Mothers for America" -- or some such. I probably have their title wrong . . .
Talk about some really mad mothers! "If mama ain't happy -- ain't no body happy!"
That group of women would have really made liberals made because there were several Black women in the group -- more than a few. Who were they? Some were democrats, some republicans and some independents. At least three said they had never before involved themselves in politics. |
|
"This is an anti-government movement folks."
Of course it is, because you lost the election. The government is doing things you don't like, so the growing mob of crazies among you is calling for armed revolution and bloodshed. There's actually someone on a TH thread who is saying you should buy ammunition and find out the addresses of the families of politicians and media people. He's stone crazy, and nobody else on TH is objecting to his ideas.
Of course, if the GOP were in power, there'd be no "anti-government movement." You'd all sit on your hands like good little sheep; you always have in the past.
If you don't like the way our political system works and its legitimate results, consider immigration. Failing that, try to win an election. |
|
|
that is big of you, what if we don't want to immigate to a foriegn country we would like our politicians to run this country better with no corruption then we would be happier.I have stated before it is not a left vs right problem with our government, it is a them vs us problem and those like you see us pizzing and moaning about just the dems when we are tired of the politicians from both sides with their waste. the problem I have with the left for the most part is the immature ones that say we won you lost deal with it. it is not one party that lost an election, if the left blindly allows radical changes in the country, we all lose. |
|

Does this really surpirse you? Many a poster here has said its not their job to scold their more extreme elements; besides you know they secretly agree-hence their typical silence.
"Of course, if the GOP were in power, there'd be no "anti-government movement." You'd all sit on your hands like good little sheep; you always have in the past."
Exactly as history has shown us. Where was the tea party when bush was doing TARP 1-oh I know-nowhwere. These same people did nothing and now are complaining about their own politcal impotence.
I would be comical if its wasn't so sad and transparent.
Enjoy your afternoon Bob.

"I have stated before it is not a left vs right problem with our government, it is a them vs us problem"
Yeah, but that's garbage. Your "us" is all right-wing extremists, a tiny minority fringe.
"if the left blindly allows radical changes in the country"
The "radical change" is that there's now a Democratic administration and Congress, and you just can't stand that. Nothing is being blindly allowed; we're in the majority, we won legitimately, and the government is doing what we want them to do. It's all perfectly legal and Constitutional; it just isn't what your various brain-dead reactionaries like Bush, Reagan, and Bush would have done. |
|
I believe the movement started WHEN Bush started the TARP program -- that's when I first started hearing the yelling and screaming from DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS. Then, like Topsy, the movement just grew and grew as the deficit got larger and larger.
You need to get out of the fern bars and also stop watching MSNBC.
Big things are happening outside WASHDC whether you want to believe it or not. |

A bit of humor for you. . .
Curtis & Leroy saw an ad in the Starkville Daily News Newspaper in Starkville, MS. and bought a mule for $100.
The farmer agreed to deliver the mule the next day.
The next morning the farmer drove up and said, "Sorry, fellows, I have some bad news, the mule died last night."
Curtis & Leroy replied, "Well, then just give us our money back."
The farmer said, "Can't do that. I went and spent it already."
They said, "OK then, just bring us the dead mule."
The farmer asked, "What in the world ya'll gonna do with a dead mule?"
Curtis said, "We gonna raffle him off."
The farmer said, "You can't raffle off a dead mule!"
Leroy said, "We shore can! Heck, we don't hafta tell nobody he's dead!"
A couple of weeks later, the farmer ran into Curtis &Leroy at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store and asked.
"What'd you fellers ever do with that dead mule?"
They said,"We raffled him off like we said we wuz gonna do."
Leroy said,"Shucks, we sold 500 tickets fer two dollars apiece and made a profit of $898."
The farmer said,"My Lord, didn't anyone complain?"
Curtis said, "Well, the feller who won got upset. So we gave him his two dollars back."
Curtis and Leroy now work for the government.
They're overseeing the Bailout Program.

Gonna be fascinating to watch Obummer ruminate over what to do on this.
He's only been sitting on McChrystal's report for well over a month. I guess he thinks the problem will just go away while he finds more ways to support ACORN. And find more positions to fill with high-caliber talent such as, John Holdren and Mark Lloyd and Cass Sunstein and Van Jones. This general McChrystal is his own pick, his, "main man". Admiral Mullen affirms the McChrystal's assessment. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking and Obummer is deciding on more important issues, "Hmmmmm....should I do the Jon Stuart show, or, would it be better to boost the ratings of, Bill Maher?" "The Food Network might be a tasty appearance as well." |
|
|
I know politicians are that corrupt ,i find it hard to believe that they are that smart. |
|
Funny stuff as far as "conservative humor" goes.
And I do not deny the tea party movement is out there; I think the fact that its so outside "the beltway" that it cannot influence "the beltway."
5 million people does not equate to an independent politcal party in America.
Yes they will affect conservative politcs but not Center Right America which is to the LEFT of the "Tea Party Set."
Did you go to youtube and try to find those jack benny performances? I hope you do and have a laugh-you deserve it. Whenever I see your name I think of that horrrible story you told me and it makes me sad because I don't want think about anybody enduring such hated for their patriotism nor do I want to see this country ever fractured like that again but maybe that is the "American Way" we fight each other until somebody else comes along.
|
|
|
don't tell me what is garbage, that is your opinion.you may like corruption from your party but i think any corruption is shyt from either party. don't lecture me on my parties corruption and not see any in yours. oh brain dead ,great point bob if we don't think like you we are brain dead, thanks professor, your silly azzzz put downs advance the topic by millmeters, so grow the hell up, or keep listening to the drunks of the world to stand by your opinion as being the gold standard to all, when in actuality it don't mean shyt, just the BS of someone that holds too high of an opinion of them self. Good afternoon Bob, Yuck. |

I gathered that they were not politicians, but Good Ole Boys from the Delta. FDR hired several of these types, I think. |
|
I guess it could be considered conservative humor, but it was sent to me by a Merchant Marine middle-of-the-road type. He owns/rents hunting land in several states and has a fishing lodge in Alaska, so no telling where got the joke.)
I agree that the tea party folks will probably not influence inside the beltway folks -- and that's the problem. They ain't listening to those who sent them there.
They are, though, going to influence local and statewide elections. I expect that both democrat and republican politicians will lose their seats next election. (Val, it ain't just republicans in this movement. Lots of mad folks out there! I hear, but have not heard it directly, that a long-time congressman from WVA is really sweating next election -- and he has hardly had any opposition before. Guess he is hearing from the citizens.
Third party? Maybe someday far in the future, but you know that things can snowball.
The Jack Benny stuff is where you said it is. I looked at a couple and am going to get my daughter to download 'em to a disc. . She loves playing with computers. I'm more of a reader, although she is a big reader too.
Thanks for the tip. I'd not thought of going to U-Tube, although I should have because a the aformentioned shipmate used to send me old cartoons when I was at sea and he was on vacation. My bad. |

munck can't help it. but the delusional stuphor of how wrong the right is, and how right the left is, is pathetic.
he may be over medicated, but then again, this might be considered normal for Cal. dreaming. he probably is in Pelosi's district, and the fall out from that has got to be toxic.
It really is laughable that he considers himself intellectually above us mind numbed...
He hasn't separated knowledge from wisdom yet.
"The majority of mankind think that they think; they acquiesce, and they suppose that they argue; they flatter themselves that they are holding their own, when they have actually grown up to manhood with scarcely a conviction that they can call their own." E.W. Bullinger
That pretty much sums up Munck |

The twisted left trying to interject dis-content. Are you related to Chris mathews? Your rudeness is only exceeded by your stupidity. Your delsuion with reality in another time might be the source of a nursey ryme, but we don't have the time. If you want to debate ideas on the exchange, all welcome that, but your little petty annoying attacks, demonstrate you are with ideals, your are not centered, please be going. you have loitered here to long. go back home. go back to Huffington, and get your pat on the back |

Big Sky Cowboy. Don't let that disgusting whor get under your skin. She is obviously the rankest female libtard posting here. I am certain her mother rues the day she slithered out of her womb! |

"listen biitch you don't tie boots"
Combat boots, hiking boots, work boots, hunting boots -- it's mostly those sissy "cowboy" boots with the high heels that don't have laces.
Didn't Big Sky Cowboy used to be capable of full sentences and coherent thoughts? He seems to have descended into madness lately. |

"Didn't Big Sky Cowboy used to be capable of full sentences and coherent thoughts? "
Did he? I hadn't noticed.
