What a WHINER!!!
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 4:10 PM
From the annals of "almost too unbelievable to be true": Barack Obama is hinting that John McCain has benefited from an imbalance in press coverage.

That's right -- the same McCain who slimed by the New York Times, which was as eager to report an affair that (by all accounts) wasn't, as it was reluctant to report the hate-filled rantings of Jeremiah Wright.  Note that this suggestion is coming from the same Obama who's received such over-the-top glowing press coverage that Saturday Night Live lampooned it in the now-famous sketch embraced by the Clinton campaign.

I never pegged Barack Obama as a weak-kneed whiner.  That said, his complaints about the President's criticism of "appeasement" (supposedly directed at him), coupled with his ludicrous suggestion that any Republican is going to get better press coverage than a Democrat, certainly suggests that the likely nominee isn't just thin-skinned . . . he might be a bit of a whiner.

You don't prove a negative...
First of all, where's the proof that McCain wasn't having an affair with the young, pretty lobbyist he was inclined to spend to much time with?

naive Kimberly

Where's the proof Obama's not a racist Marxist?

Thanks.

Comrade! Excellent work once again. Ignore the logic and reasoned arguments of these capitalist tools as well as their adult senses of humor and irony. Continue to chant for and bow before the image of El Jeffe, Maximum Leader as you did at Matt and Amanda's blog posts of May 13, '08.
Dosvydanya, comrade.

cryiny out "Why is everybody always picking on me?" No wonder hamas endorses him. Probably really see hin as a pushover the way Carter was, so that they will get there way on having unchecked terrorism.

Now I'm not saying that Obama doesn't
get good press coverage, but McCain gets away with way too much. All of McCain's proposals for taxes and government spending are completely wrong, but the press doesn't cover it. You don't have to believe me, but look at what FactCheck.org says about his budget proposals here (http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/the_budget_according_to_mccain_part_i.html) and here (http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/the_budget_according_to_mccain_part_ii.html).

McCain really doesn't have any foreign policy experience (think about it please--Armed Forces Committee + POW for six years does no equal foreign policy), but the media touts his "vast foreign policy experience". McCain has been completely wrong on Iraq from day one--"we won't be going house to house in Baghdad", or "I believe victory will be relatively easy", or going around with Bush on a victory lap after "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"--and he is still wrong today because I am in Iraq and something needs to change desperately. THIS IS NOT WORKING, "my friends".

Wake up America. Obama speaks the truth, and maybe you haven't realized it YET.

..is whether or not Obama is a whiner. Hell, yes and so is his wife. And never were there two people who had less to whine about.

You talk about how right wing is illogical and your here stating facts, if you want to have things your way you probably need to go to moveon.org so that they will share in your bleeding heart hatred ideas. So whenever you open up a can of worms do not expect that you will be called on it. It seems to me that the left has the most controversial issues to deal with.

The best thing about Obama is that

he is probably the only Democrat the GOP has any chance of defeating in November. Any other candidate would stomp us, but Obama has so many negatives we might be able to beat him.

Obama's Kentucky Cross Flyer
Here's a link to a blog entry discussing an astonishing flyer that Obama is distributing in Kentucky.

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/05/14/that-old-rugged-neon- explicit-cross/

I've heard almost nothing about it in the press. Huckabee ran an ad with a cross deep in the background and was--I can't resist--crucified for it. If McCain ran something comparable, it would be news for a week. In Obama's case, no press comments, no objections from the left wing of the Democratic party. I suspect that it's merely "understood" that the flyer is mere pandering that he must do to make an appeal to those rubes in Kentucky.

Here's to hoping he gets drilled in Kentucky.

New York Times
In 2001, I was in DC, and a friend and I went to the Newseum--very interesting, I recommend it.

Anyway, there was a special exhibit that week on the U.S. press coverage of the Holocaust. In the 1930s and 1940s, most newspapers took the lead of The New York Times, which (I heard at this exhibit) when then known by its staff as a newspaper owned by Jews, edited by Catholics, and read by WASPs. Sadly enough, the exhibit documented how the owner of The New York Times sat on the few stories that were leaking Europe about the death camps for fear that readers would be alienated. And the rest of the country's papers followed suit.

So Kimberly, I don't know what information you have about Bush's grandfather. I do know that there are a lot of unclean hands in this country from that period. The reports that leaked out of Europe were somewhat sketchy and, indeed, a PBS documentary I just saw about two Auswitz escapees who tried to warn Hungarian Jews, showed that the enormity of atrocities was so great that at first the reports weren't taken seriously.

Forgive me, Kimberly, but you simply paint with too broad a brush. Anymore, your posts are just irrational rants. Consider providing links to objective sources. I find you the most unreliable person posting at Townhall.

You must remember never to say anything negative about our fellow socialists. The Nazis were/are National Socialists. Here is the list again of our fellows about whom you must never say anything negative: National Socialists (Nazis); Progressives; Socialists; Communists; 'Liberals'; 'Democrats'-Democrat Party. Our exhalted Socialist leaders list: Hitler; Lenin; Marx; Stalin; Mao; Fidel; Che; Pol Pot; Ho Chi Minh; Mussolini; Noriega; et al. Commit these things to your memory to be a good apparatchik. Ignore the imperialist propaganda about socialism killing more than 100 million people. A mere statistic. Strength to you comrade in our struggle for world revolution. Dosvydanya.

Oh my word!
Obama complaining that McCain gets more favorable press coverage (only if your media is Townhall and the like, otherwise your media is, in the words of Chris Matthews, "not officially" pro-Obama). Kimberly's big proof that McCain had an affair is that there's no proof it didn't happen, an obvious logical fallacy (argumentum ad ignorantiam). It'd be hilarious, except that it just shows the sad state of American education.

Kevin James performace on Harball
I have never and will never listen to The Kevin James show. I did get a chance to see him in action on “Hardball”. I've goy something I'd like to say to him.

You sir, typify the right-wing windbag.

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

BTW – if you ever get another chance at primetime, perhaps you should brush up on the facts before you open your big fat mouth.

"governor’s duty"
To love our neighborhood is to love God. Doing charitable acts for the community is good contribution. How can we relate the lives of animals to the lives of the human being? Do we think consequences in life can be given a pardon? Some people thought she was merely a turkey of a candidate, but Sarah Palin has proven herself a turkey when it comes to public relations, too. Did you see the video of her Thanksgiving turkey pardon? Apparently Governor Palin was having a good time exercising her "governor’s duty" by saving a lucky turkey from the chopping block. Truly, isn’t it the least she can do for the flightless fowl that carries a bull’s-eye on its back during this cornucopian time of the year (that or give the poor thing a cash advance)? But what of the turkey’s poor brothers and sisters? As Palin delivers a moving oratory for the life of the beleaguered bird, what do we see in the background but a bird being slaughtered! The horror swells (as would the horror music, if you monologue internally as I do) when we think about whose neck is next. Would Palin stick her own neck out and comment on the slaughter that turned a little fun into a vino sprayfest? No! She told reporters that “this was neat.” Mind you, she was there for a light-hearted photo opportunity, which I’m sure is a welcome change of pace after that sprint to the finish with John McCain during the presidential race. But was she aware of what was going on nearby? Will she be this aware of her surroundings when she supposedly picks up yoke and plows her way into the 2012 presidential election? She may save Joe Sixpack, but what will happen to Johnny Longneck? I’m guessing he’ll need to get his hands on a fast cash advance for a thick metal collar.
