Another Thought on Guilt by Association

Why has no reporter asked Obama directly about his history with ACORN, and what role ACORN would play in his administration?
Remember, ACORN, when they aren't fraudulently registering people to vote, spends most of it's time trying to place low-income persons in homes they can't afford on their own. Would he appoint ACORN cronies to FHA and HUD? Would he support increasing federal funding of their group? What role would he have them play in the housing crisis?
These are reasonable questions to be asked, but I think we already know the answers.
Update: This is what told ACORN members in November 2007:
OBAMA: "I come out of a grassroots organizing background. That's what I did for three and half years before I went to law school. That's the reason I moved to Chicago was to organize. So this is something that I know personally, the work you do, the importance of it. I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.” ACORN endorsed him for president in February 2008. This is from their endorsement:
Alicia Russell of Arizona, ACORN’s western regional representative, said Obama relates to the issues facing low- and moderate-income people. “I think he will commit himself to providing us the necessary path for the low-income and moderate-income families to improve their lives,” Russell said. “He’s on the same level as we are, and sees our issues as we do.”

Group tied to al-Qaida backs McCain for prez 'They will do all they can to turn Kosovo into a jihadist camp in the heart of Europe'

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain has enjoyed strong support from a lobbyist group that backs the Kosovo Liberation Army despite allegations the KLA is a Muslim terrorist group with ties to criminal drug networks and al-Qaida.

Well... I know for a fact, if John McCain or Sarah Palin was connected to Acorn, the liberal media would be allover that story. |
|
Are you trying to make a comparison here?
You have no control over who decides to endorse you.
You do have control over who you endorse, support, with with, work for, etc. |
|
John McCain sat on the board of a very right-wing organization, it was the U.S. Council for World Freedom, it was chaired by a guy named John Singlaub, who wound up involved in the Iran contra scandal. It was an ultra conservative, right-wing group. The Anti-Defamation League, in 1981 when McCain was on the board, said this about this organization. It was affiliated with the World Anti-Communist League – the parent organization – which ADL said “has increasingly become a gathering place, a forum, a point of contact for extremists, racists and anti-Semites.”

mccain supported it if you read the story, at least that is what corsi claims. |

Ask BOTH candidates about their commitments to both of these anti-American socialist community groups. Why are they now going to become new government agencies under HUD via that Marxist $850B bailout bill?
Not only are questions not being asked, the people who want them asked are missing the bigger picture. |
|
in his over the top obsession with obama, sean hannity has to either admit to being an anti-semite or agree that just because someone knows an extremist doesn't mean they to, are an extremist.
in his video on the supposed but laughable obama conspiracy video, hannity uses andy martin as an authoritive voice.
here is mr. martins views of jews.
"...ran as a Democrat for Connecticut's 3rd Congressional District seat under the name "Anthony R. Martin-Trigona," his campaign committee filed papers saying its purpose was to "exterminate Jew power in America and impeach U.S. District Court of Appeals judges in New York City." And that wasn't his only anti-Semitic outburst:
In a New York bankruptcy case, he referred to a judge as a "crooked, slimy Jew." During the bankruptcy dispute, he filed a civil-rights lawsuit claiming Jewish bankruptcy judges and lawyers were conspiring to steal his property. He asked a court to bar "any Jew from having anything to do with plaintiff's property."
In another motion in the case, he wrote: "I am able to understand how the Holocaust took place, and with every passing day feel less and less sorry that it did, when Jew survivors are operating as a wolf pack to steal my property."
so which is it, is hannity an anti-semite or should he not be judged by associates he palls around with and puts on his show.
the illogic of this guilt by association is apparent. |

McCain gets a pass for all of his curious associations with crooks and creeps? Why does he get credit for voicing opposition to spending bills that ultimately passed while Republicans controlled everything but gets a pass for authoring the most obnoxious landmark liberal bills?
That's the problem with having a Trojan Horse Dem on the GOP ballot. There is no point spewing vitriol against the other candidate when your own candidate is possibly worse!
Go Bob Barr!!! |

First the fraud was on voter registration. Doesn't matter if you had a billion give me a break registrants, our well controlled voting system allows only 1 VOTE. So this fraud thing is another distraction!
Second, the notion that we are in peril because of "sub-prime" mortgages speaks only to those seeking to make it into some culture war soundbite. It hasn't not been about credit worthiness but more about affordability and the greed of those who chose to allow anyone in the store to walk out without paying, in other words no regulations. Your candidate J Mclame and Sarah Soundbite have not addressed that part of this fiasco - or any for that matter.
You are losing because you are out of touch with all of reality. And hoping and reaching for straws. |

Every political season it seems the rules are established rather informally as to what is and isn't off limits. One of the most agreeable is the candidates families, especially minor children.
Other than that, most topics in the candidates professional lives and careers should be open to scrutiny.
A very good reason for the press to openly discuss Obama's Ayers and Acorn relationships is because Obama and Michelle both made the point that those relationships where important as to why Obama is qualified for the Presidency. If a majority of Americans cannot explain what they are or have even heard of them, then they are important topics of discussion, someone hasn't been doing their job, and Obama himself needs to be talking about them freely and forcefully.
It is as if those elements in his background were ideal for the primary and equally ideal to be ignored for the general election. |
|
Nowhere in the article does it say that McCain supported the KLA.
You get a F for poor research, stating opinions as fact, and probably plagiarism for not properly citing the moonbat talking points. |
|
And Amandahannity knows it. ACORN is the GOP's new ACLU - any group that works to help lift the least amongst up is a thorn in the "me, myself and I" crowd - (unless of course, the hitmen need their help as in the case of Limbaugh and his doctor-shopping woes).
ACORN "fraud" accounts for a fraction of a larger portion of what is out there in election fraud - that is mostly GOP engineered by the way through caging tactics and voter disenfranchisement AND irregularities of our electronic voting systems that just HAPPEN to be in the privatized hands of GOP supporters. Not so much hoopla over the fact that those electronic "irregularities" that accounted for millions of wrongly cast votes in key states tended to "swing" Republican, now is there?
But here's a little known fact with Amanda's story: The charges against ACORN have for the most part been unsubstantiated. They've got NO proof against the group that indicates a systemic problem that would change the outcome of ANY election.
But hey, it's the GOP way to blame the poorest amongst us, isn't it? And since Obama is an African American, why the racism on the Right is quite breathtaking. Don't think that this kind of false slurring of the lines added to McCain's "That one" comment has gone unnoticed by the rest of America. Just look at the poll numbers in VA which have Obama up by 10 points. WOW. Just.....WOW. |
|
Speaking of grades, did you know that McCain claims to love his vets, but he scores a D in his unwillingness to support the troops and veterans - a grade given him by his "pals", the vets themselves?
I kid you not. When key votes came to the floor on McCain's vets and troops, he went missing for most of them. For the GI Bill, which McCain himself enjoyed as a vet, he went on a rampage AGAINST giving our troops and vets the opportunity for higher education and a thank you for their service. Instead, he claimed it would "lure" the troops away from service. Heh. Now he claims he voted against the bill for other loftier reasons, which are debunked as false on the websites of these veterans and soldier who graded the Senator with a poor to failing mark.

Screenshot or it didn't happen. The Republicans are not known for having the dead vote, unlike the Democrats. Republican can understand how to use a ballot, unlike Democrats. If taking Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and dead people off the role is disenfrancing someone then I am all for it. Dem simply have no traction on the voter fraud issue, they invented it. |

American Viewers have their mind on sex. It has become a question of the better bed partner. Obama or McCain? Its not what you say but the way that you say it---youth always says it better. Obama will slip and slide into the #1 bedroom. Call it a landslide if you want to be discreet. |
|
"Guilt by Association" is one very good way to pass your own judgement on the judgement of others- so far, Obama hasn't shown much in the way of good judgement here. And please, if BO is just SO smart, then we can all assume that he KNEW exactly what ACORN was when he was working for and defending them? And since Ayers is so proud of what he did, are we to imagine that he and BO NEVER talked about his past? BO spent 20 years in a church with a man of Wright's persuasions and NEVER knew what he was? It fair stretches credulity...As Judge Judy would say- "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining". As for the little lefties- don't be too hard on them. At least they understand that if not for voter fraud, no demonRAT might ever be elected again. |

Michael Moore rightly pointed out that Bush has been the recipient of Saudia Arabian money for years.
If we want to talk relevancy and terrorist connections, let's talk about Bush's connections to the Saudias and the millions of dollars they paid him after his Harken deal failed.

Um, I'm not sure how to break this to you...
But, uh, GB isn't running for anything this time around...
P.S. If MM said it, it's 99.9% likely to be false. |
|
you obviously didn't read it.
"In April 1999, McCain and Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., co-sponsored the "Kosovo Self-Defense Act" with the goal of arming the KLA in their battle against the Serbs.
McCain co-sponsored the legislation despite serious concerns voiced at that time in Republican policy forums, warning the KLA was a criminal terrorist organization with ties to al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden."
then there are the pictures but of course you did not seem them either did you. |

So does this make me complicit in whatever comes down the e-line? gee. A young man like B.O. can fall into unknowing relationships. I know that I did. But it didnt even scratch my core beliefs. Just made me aware. Doesnt Townhall have any reporters to ask these questions? Certainly they can get the credentials to get in the room. What about clearchannel? Fox? the usual suspects on the blaming right. I see the media all over these storyies - when they become stories of substance and not rumor. By then though the disfunctional right has moved on to the next sensation. The more I study these blogs the more I am inclined to vote - Nader.

It is more of a reflection on your lack of character that you are not bothered by Obama's close ties to domestic terrorists, radical activists and Chicago machine thugs. You judge a person by the company they keep. We have judged Obama and found him dangerous. We have judged you Copperheads and found you dangerous. |
|
Your quotes are opinions, not facts. Please show me in the actual bill (link below) where the KLA is mentioned. I guess you would have preferred that rather than provide assistance to Kosovo's interim government that we instead sent in US troops? How dare you! :^)

Lane, now go back and read that statement you made, does that seem like an infantile statement to you? It sure does to me. How many of these bloggers have invited you to their house? How many of these bloggers have you had lunch with? Now, think about what you said. Obama associates with Ayers, Rezko, PLO, Wright, Acorn. now what part of this don't you get? It isn't abour left or right its about Obama and his choices. He will dump eveyone of these people because he is concerned about Obama. Now if you vote for Nadar you have voted for Obama, no matter which angle you turn it. Your vote is your right, just use common sense when you vote. You can't say what he is doing is wrong and neither will he. Accept responsibility for your Actions and Ask Obama to do the same. |
