But, that's allright, those of us there corrected him and he got through the rest without incident. I just got back from the rally portion- too busy to go yell at my Congressmen, local Marxist Jerry Connelly. I did, though, get into a rather rousing discussion with a group of idiots carrying signs saying Bachman Care will Kill Us. Such phrases as "fascist," "unAmerican," and "Constitution haters" were bandied back and forth. Good time had by all.

The headline originally said "singing," not "saying" the pledge. And Greg's original comment was just "Embarrassing." Now it says, "Embarrassing, but it's happened to all of us." So Town Hall is walking back their silliness.

Most people say the
pledge wrong anyway.

There is no pause between "one nation....and under God." The correct way to say it is without the pause.


Also the original pledge was pushed into classrooms by a liberal communist preacher in hopes of getting children to pledge their allegiance to the state.

In addition to that, the Pledge contradicts itself. It says the nation is "indivisible", but then claims "liberty...for all."

If the nation is indivisible, then it means there is no right of secession. If there is no right to secede, then it means that the government owns us and all we claim to possess. There is no social contract, per Locke, only a one-way agreement where the government deigns to allow us some measure of activity unmonitored by itself.

Think about our original War for Independence; it was a war of secession from the British Empire.

The original story posted the video clip with the word, "Embarrassing." Later it was changed to, "Embarrassing, but it's happened to all of us." I think Greg suddenly realized that Todd Aiken is a Republican.
